Why Does My Rottie Puppy Continuously Walk And Rub Herself Under My Legs

My 10 month old pup still pees in the house please help?

i have a 10 month old rottweiler pup, i got her when she was just under 4 months old, the prev owner said she was paper trained but i doubt she was, when she was out in the garden she would just stand and look at you as if to ask what she had to do, she didnt seem to know she could pee outside, in the begining she would pee and poo all the time to the point one of my carpets got ruined, she can now go for a week solid without doing anything but then she can do it twice in a week, i take the food and water away at 6pm every night and she continues to get let out from 8am till 12pm she is out constantly and i have praised her and given treats when she has gone to the toilet outside but it never lasts, i dont know what else to do,ive done the rub her nose in it and tell her its bad method when ive caught her in the act, i have even done the confinement method to just one room but still she does a pee and poo atleast twice a week, it might not seem such a big deal but at that age she shouldnt be doing it and because i confined her she obviously getd bored and she has started to chew my door frames and skirting boards, i need to replace them now and only just replaced the carpet that was ruined, can anyone suggest anything? i know she doesnt have a water infection this has been checked and ruled out

thank you so much

Why does my rottie bite and lick his paws?

Wash the dogs legs and check for any infections or ticks. I guess something is itching/hurting and the gaps under the paws are a perfect place for fleas and ticks. These places are warm, inaccessible to the dog and they can easily be targeted while the dog is walking around grass. If you don’t find anything, take the dog to the vet. Maggots can get into the skin and cause irritation.

Dog pulls on her leash to the point of choking herself?

She is an adult Staffy, about 90 pounds and way stronger than me.
EVERY time we go out, she struggles and struggles to get ahead, to the point that she's doing these hacking, dry coughs.
Yes, I realize that it's a dominance thing, that the pack leader walks in front yadda yadda.
But how can I get her to stop pulling so ridiculously hard?
We've even tried using a harness so she wouldn't choke, but she pulled even harder because it didn't hurt her!
And it's not just every-once-in-a-while pulling, its *constantly* dragging me down the street pulling.
=/

And this chick isn't even my dog, so save your snarky comments.
She's my brother-in-law's dog, and I take her out when I take my dog out because she looks lonely.
He has no interest in her, I don't think he's ever walked her in her life. He only wants a "guard dog" which she isn't.

WHY DOES MY DOG GO IN BETWEEN MY LEGS?

This sounds strange, but chances are she feels very secure and protected there. From her point of view, you are in a very protective position over her and you were probably one of the first people to show her kindness in her life. She loves you, wants to be near you, and feels safe between your legs as odd as it seems.

Why does a dog rub against you?

Affection. Dogs are tactile. ‘Good boy’ only goes so far. Physical contact is important to many social breeds. This is why some breeds are called ‘aloof’. They avoid a lot of physical contact even though they may be very affectionate dogs.Body contact is about comfort. Cuddling, laying on each other, its is safety, security, affection, calming, relaxing. It is about getting closer to your scent and sharing theirs. It is the reason that my dogs don’t just lay on the bed but they lay on me and slide down (also stealing the blankets in the process).Touch is important to them.

What does it mean when a dog rubs its head against your leg?

Hi, Christopher!Oh! Soooo many, many great answers already here!It can mean he has an itchy face or an eye infection. Or it can mean something very simple, like:Just love me! Just love me!Many dogs just want to have that very special bond with a human. They have such loving hearts! So, most likely, when that nice doggie rubs his face against you, he’s saying he just wants to give you some love and receive your love, too!Would you like to listen to the song I wrote about this very special bond between a boy and his dog? When I wrote this song, it brought tears to my eyes — happy tears. I thought about so many people I have known who love their dogs so much! And their dogs love them, too!Hopefully, you, too, can develop that special bond with your furry soulmate.Enjoy this song!Cha Cha Queen

Do dogs sometimes fake injuries to get attention?

Oh yeah. My sweet rottie is older now…he’s 8, and has hip dysplasia along with arthritis, common in bigger, heavier boned dogs. With the really cold weather (I’m in Houston, and anything under 40 is unheard of for us 99.9% of the time) his joints have been hurting him more than usual. He and the rest of his siblings have been kept inside all week (because I’m not an abusive, neglectful witch like a LOT of pet owners seem to be across the country, OH MY GOD don’t even get me STARTED) but that cold has really hit him hard. Usually, it’s his back legs that get stiff, but the other day, he was limping on his front left leg. Hubby: He can barely walk, honey. I think he hurt his leg.Me: Oh, my poor Boo Boo (his name is Brutus, but I call him Boo Boo, I’m mommy, I can). I get down on the floor with him and start massaging his leg. Brutus: groans a little and relaxesAfter a few minutes, I get up, make everyone’s dinnerAn hour later, I yell, “Ok, everybody, outside to take care of your business!” My other two, Angus (A GSD) and Lilly (a mutt) get up and trot outside.Brutus stays on the bed. I look at him and say, “Can’t get up?” He whines a little bit, and I say, “Ok. You can stay inside.”I go to shower. My hubby goes to his computer room to play poker. While I’m in the shower, Brutus does his “pay attention to me” bark, his “Hey, someone, come in here!” bark, and his “Dang it, if someone doesn’t pay attention to me I’m going to yowl all night” whimper. I get out of the shower and ask my husband, “What does he want?”My husband: “I dunno. I asked him what the deal was and he looked at me like I’m stupid.” I sigh, go into the living room and ask… “Do you need to go outside?”Mr. Injury jumps up and TROTS to the back door. No limp outside of his usual back leg gimp.I open the door and he hauls butt outside. An hour later, I open the door and he runs inside. So yeah, I think they’re capable of it.

Please help! My one month old Rottweiler seems extremely depressed...?

this is far too young to be away from its mother - pups should not be seperated from their mother until they are at least 8 weeks plus.
you should report the owner who gave her pups away so young... its called neglect.

because he is so young, he will be susceptable to a lot of health and social problems.

also are you feeding him regularly enough?
4th week - 5.50 calories/ounce of body weight daily
In general, most substitutes contain around 1 calorie per ml. he should be fed 4 times a day.

you should also start to wean him now - introduce some soft dog food moistened with water or formula (NOT cows milk). increase the amount of food and decrease the amount it is moistened each 1/2 week.

4 week old pups generally dont run around and play much - he should be drinking from his mother, getting fatter and sleeping most of the time.

he should be sleeping 20-22 hours every day... so dont be worried about how much he sleeps.
