Why Does Obamacare Sound Good To Anyone

What's so bad about Obamacare?

What's so bad about it is it was as good as Obama could get. Maybe nationalized health care will be the result of Obamacare being impossible to manage.

When you can figure out a way to educate every child in the country and run an Army, get back to us on government ruining everything it touches.

WHAT IS WRONG WITH OBAMACARE?

What is wrong with free health care is the fact that it isn't free. Anyone who believes anything in life is free is intellectually challenged.

Why has Trump abandoned plan to replace ObamaCare?

Lets consider an important fact about “ObamaCare”. The entire plan was created by the Republicans and Obama decided to use their plan as a starting point. Along the way the plan was modified many times by both parties. This process took years to complete and the results where far from perfect but at least their was something to show for it in the end.Trump comes along and promises to replace it with something so much better but does nothing what so ever to create a replacement. Trump has demonstrated time and time again that he has no capacity for long term planning, he is a shoot from the hip kind of guy that always thinks he is right at any given moment, even if he contradicts his previous decisions. So who is going to come up with a replacement plan? The Republicans already did the work once just to have it destroyed by the system and now Trump wants to kill it completely. The Democrats could come up with the perfect system and it would not happen because the Republicans could not accept that a Democrat could do something right.Add to the fact that nobody who is involved in fixing the problem has any real stake in fixing it. They all have their health care taken care of for life for simply serving for as little as two years. And so many Americans have been fooled into thinking that spending our tax dollars in a way that benefits the people they were collected from is socialism unless those people are rich then it is called creating jobs.

What is your opinion about Obamacare!?

I think it is a horrible bill because it addresses the wrong question.

While Obama and his minions claim it is about providing coverage to people, the salient point is not about coverage. Insurance companies can create millions of policies at a click of a button.

The relevant point is affordability, and I fail to see how Obamacare addresses that. There is nothing in the bill about tort reform, lowing malpractice insurance costs, or providing competition between insurance companies in different states. Some of the nice sounding things about Obamacare - such as pre-existing conditions - are also going to drive the costs up. This will make coverage even more unaffordable for people.

Does Obamacare promote the "General Welfare"?

I realized I have been phrasing this question all wrong. The general welfare clause of article 1 section 8 of the Constitution has been cited by Obamacare supporters as evidence of its Constitutionality, but does Obamacare really promote the "general welfare" of the people of the United States or just promote the welfare of certain people?

Shouldn't general welfare be defined as laws specifically promoting those things that are important to all individuals: life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness?

Is it good that Obamacare was not abolished?

Keeping the Affordable Care Act (aka “Obamacare”) is good for:Millions of Americans who needed private health insurance, who before the ACA subsidies would not be able to afford premiums. People complain about the current cost of health insurance, but the rate of increase was worse before the ACA.Americans with pre-existing medical conditions, who before the ACA were frequently denied health coverage, regardless of what they were willing to pay in premiums.Americans with high medical expenses, who before the ACA would have been bankrupted. The ACA prohibits insurance companies from setting a lifetime max for your benefits.Americans with low incomes, who are now able to get Medicaid, thanks to the expanded eligibility provided by the ACA (except in states that refused to participate in the expanded Medicaid). It’s bad for:Insurance company profits. The ACA requires that insurance companies spend 80% of their gross revenue on actually paying for health care. Before the ACA, some insurance companies were only paying 50%, and taking the rest as profit.Rich people who are paying new or increased taxes to fund part of the cost of the ACA subsidies and expanded Medicaid.Partisan rivalry, as Republicans hate, hate, hate the fact that a Democratic US President and Congress was able to achieve this.So whether you want Obamacare abolished depends on if you prefer to help fill the pocketbooks of the rich and insurance companies, or if you prefer to help Americans get medical coverage they couldn’t get before.

My singing sounds good only in the bathroom, does this mean I have potential to be a good singer, or does everyone sound good in the bathroom?

Everyone sounds great in the bathroom!  You are surrounded on all sides by shiny, hard, reflective surfaces, plus the pleasantness of shower, nice smells, and privacy.  So youa re most free to be yourself! - and you hear yourself reflected back to you, amplified and deepened by the resonance.  In addition, you yourelf feed on this nice atmosphere, and sing better.   By contrast, think of singing on the beach into the wind.  After a minute, you are yelling instead of singing, barely able to hear yourself. Most people have the potential to be good singers.  Virtually everyone was a good singer as as child, before peer pressure and adult expectations made us afraid to sing out loud, and then we either began to peep, barely moving our lips, or clammed up altogether (the loss of singing becaue of bullying during the early teens is one of the great scandals of the modern world).  But you can overcome - just open your mouth and sing, and don't give a rip for whether you are "good" or not.  Why ruin the joy by evaluating?

If Obamacare was so horrible, why do Republicans act like it needs to be replaced with anything after repeal?

Because it has the word ‘Obama’ in it.Seriously, most Republicans are all for the Affordable Care Act, but Obamacare? No way! They aren’t informed enough to know that its the same darn thing. Most people are sheep, no matter the party, and just goes along with everyone else. Obamacare is another word for the Affordable Care Act, which many are in favor of. If you explain Obamacare to them without mentioning the name (yes, I have tried this out) they say “Well, that sounds pretty good”. Obama is probably the most hated president since Abraham Lincoln.Hopefully, he gets that legacy too. Both of them were fighters against racism. Barack Obama being what many people call a disgusting mulatto, ruffles more than a few feathers. Truthfully, most people who don’t like Obama are secretly racist.I live in L.A, and its socially unacceptable to be outwardly racist. You can pick them out if the voted for Trump, and hate Obama for seemingly no good reason. The people I know anyways. I live in a Republican area, so its much more outwardly racist than the rest of L.A. I’ve heard people in my neighborhood say “Well, he’s alright for a BLACK GUY, but he can’t compare to the rest!” I mean, what other president has been through all he has? He has been accused of being from another country, being muslim, a terrorist and more. But really, he is one of the best presidents we’ve ever had, I mean, look what he has done. He is much more respectable than that orange creep who’s going to repeal it. If he were white, he would be praised. Then again, he might have not gotten the nomination in the first place.

Is Obamacare for poor people?

I just wanna know....
