Why Does Sarah Palin Blame Herself For America

Who is Sarah Palin? What does an average male American think about her?

I am an enthusiastic fan of Palin's, as I am of most of most politicians that the MSM savages.  Even without her politics, she's an American success story, growing up in modest circumstances in Idaho, she worked hard, lived nobly and honestly, got involved in local politics, and eventually became governor.Notable only in her own state, but also known for being right-of-center, she was chosen to be second on the Republican ticket with John McCain in 2008.  Running clean and inspiring the crowds she spoke to, she was savagely and mercilessly attack by all the MSM, who made sure a statement she never made: "I can see Russia from my house," was widely attributed to her.  What she actually said, in response to Charlie Gibson about Russia, she said, "They're our next door neighbors and you can actually see Russia from land here in Alaska, from an island in Alaska."  This is true. She's charming, she's witty, and she's a true believer in the cause: in short, she's all the things the MSM attribute to Hillary Clinton, even though she's a crazed harpy who is acknowledged to throwing furnishings when she's angry.  The MSM couldn't keep attacking President Bush in the 2008 election, and since they'd talked up John McCain for the past six years, they well couldn't do such an abrupt about-face on him, so they went after the woman, going on a full court press on her, going as far as to go after several of her children, and did everything but physically attack her daughter Bristol.Yeah, I'm a big fan of the Mama Bear.

Why do Americans feel the need to align themselves with a certain political party?

Especially since the incident in Arizona, there has been a flurry of people online and in our communities going to bat for "their" political party, with most Republicans defending the honor of Sarah Palin and still attacking Obama, and Democrats demonizing Palin and the Tea Party over their "violent rhetoric".

I guess my question is, instead of my immediately defending blindly the party that you favor, why can't we all stand back and think for ourselves? Can't we give an opinion of our own? These are the people that have a great hand in running our nation. Shouldn't we all sit down and think about how everyone on each side of the aisle is acting?

Why did McCain choose Sarah Palin??

I think all we can do is speculate since the people in on the decision process aren't really talking.

I personally feel its because she doesn't offend anyone in the Republican base. All the names we know had something that made them unacceptable to the right wing base of the part. Rudy Juliani and Tom Ridge are pro-choice. Mitt Romney is a Mormon. To many Southern Baptists, a Mormon is just a Muslim with shave. Mike Hukabee had the opposite problem. He was so on the religious right that independent voters would start going scared.

Palin is pro-life. She is a woman which helps snag some anti-Obama independent women. She is not from the South. While Alaska is a right leaning state, it is not considered a religious right state.

She also has a very limited track record. If she had been in politics fro 30 years, she would have 1000's of decisions to defend. However, being a newcommer, she only has to defend the fact that she has almost nothing to defend. One thing gets old very quickly. The American people have very short attention spans.

Why do people hate sarah palin?

She said once: "You can see Russia from Alaska." being the Governor of Alaska.

And the Media went into overdrive, and lied (again) telling people she said, "You can see Russia from my House." because she espouses an ideology contradictory to the mainstream, and contradictory to Established Persons who are giving them Tax Breaks and "Credits" both as businesses and individuals, and that to them is unacceptable despite their ramblings of "Freedom of Speech" (ROFL).

"It's dangerous to be right when Men in Established Positions are wrong."
- Voltaire

She's also pretty hot for her age, and the vast majority of her most vociferous opponents are ******* hideous.

Why do many women hate Sarah Palin?

Because the media was very effective at portraying Palin as all of the negative stereotypes often facing women in positions of power: dumb/uneducated, leveraging her looks, overspending on clothes, unpolished, unprepared, etc. These are negative stereotypes facing all professional women. By erecting this strawman and equating it to Palin (via heavily edited interviews) they were able to show Palin as the antithesis of every professional women and therefore someone deserving their scorn and disdain. I saw this with my own sister, a professional, who bought into the entire narrative. Did she listen to Palin in Palin's own speeches? No, she watched her in interviews like Couric...that was all she needed to know that she was a dumb cutie, leveraging her looks but nothing behind the pretty face. I even had a woman (not very attractive) accuse me of having any appreciation of Palin's positions with a single line: "You just like her because she's pretty." And there you have it, catty women who fell for the strawman.

What was Sarah Palin so reviled by the news media and voters?

Because she’s an idiot. But she didn’t always act like one.The Tragedy of Sarah PalinIn Alaska she was an amazingly effective reformer. She went head to head with the oil companies and won. Having beaten the titan Palin was left without a new villian, leaving her adrift and directionless. A series of bugles and political ineptitude squanded the broad bipartisan support she had built up in the early part of her political career in Alaska. In the end I think it boils down to the fact she’s a fighter, only problem being she has no idea how to pick her targets and she doesn’t know when to stop fighting. Here in Australia we had Prime Minister Abbott who had much the same problem, made worse by his closest adviser having exactly the same issues. He seemed to have been incapable of grasping the simple fact he was Prime Minister and his party was in power. Instead of governing he attacked every target insight, acting like he was still in opposition. He didn’t last long as Prime Minister. As for Palin, even most of the right wing thinks she’s nuts these days. If she had been a bit more thoughtful and selective about the direction she took after entering national politics things might have worked out quite differently. Then again probably not.

Why do so many American citizens dislike the Libertarian Party?

Many American citizens dislike the Libertarian party because they believe that they themselves stand for freedom, and it's a slap in the face to be shown that no, in all reality, they don't. Conservatives scream freedom, constitution, and don't tread on me. Then they try to regulate who we can marry, what medical procedures we can have performed, and what we put in our bodies. Meanwhile the liberals are screaming facism, privacy, and civil liberties. Then they try regulate what I can eat, what tools I can own, and what I'm allowed to do with the money I earned. People dislike Libertarians because libertarians shine a spotlight on the authoritarian tendencies of both liberals and conservatives. Libertarians show people that they don't truly stand for freedom, because freedom implies responsibility. Most people can't handle that, but they can't admit to themselves that they can't handle it. So they marginalize the Libertarian party by calling them fruits and nuts, buy into the wasted vote myth, and perpetuate the status quo.

It's not terribly difficult to point out that the emperor isn't wearing any clothes. But when the throngs gathered to see him are naked as well it's a lot tougher to convince them.
