Why Does This Site Keep Refreshing

Why does my web browser keep refreshing on its own?

If your web browser is running a process that is automated and you have no idea what is causing it, suspect malware or a bad website.A good website should never run a process you cannot stop that clogs your memory or CPU without a good reason (like you are playing a video game or downloading a large file).A good website should never play around with your browser or force a full screen so you cannot access your menu. It should never block your access to ways to close your browser. It should never make odd or annoying noises (and it is not a game or a joke website). Closing a modal dialog box should return you to page and not generate another modal dialog box. (A modal dialog box does now allow you to access other browser tabs until you close the box.)A good website should never run a process that keeps refreshing with no way to stop it other than kill process via Task Manager. If you have to use extreme means to kill a website, it is a bad website. You can report websites like this to Google. You can get URL in your browser history. Describe what happens when page loads in the description. I have experienced bad sites delivered by Google Adwords so they can sneak in anywhere, even otherwise valid sites or services. Go ahead and whack your bad site mole though it is without end.Report a Malware Page

My page keeps refreshing!!!!?

might be a problem with your browser, but also might be a "refresh" tag in the scripting of the webpage....
the latter is malicious code that shouldn't appear on trusted sites, try deleting your temporary interent files, cookies, and history, then (if u have IE 7) try to run ie in "no add-ons) mode...
if none elps, contact the admin on the site, and report the problem...

Why does Yahoo page keep automatically refreshing?

I have an iMac, use Safari browser. This problem started a couple days ago. Whenever I'm on Yahoo's main page, it keeps refreshing automatically over and over and over again, every couple seconds. The only way to get it to stop is by clicking the "x" on the web address box, but this is very annoying and I don't want to have to keep doing this. Why is it doing this and how can I get it to be normal again? it dies NOT do this when I use Firefox, but I don't want to use Firefox.

Why does YouTube keep refreshing itself when I watch videos?

I had the same problem after trying the new Youtube version (what they called a fresh look for Youtube). So what I did was I hit the X to stop the refreshing, and somewhere at top right of the Youtube page, you can see the 3 dots (idk what to call it). Click the 3 dots and at the bottom there will be an option to restore the old Youtube version. Good luck!

Google Chrome keeps refreshing over and over?

Starting today, every time I open a new browser, it goes from the new tab page to google.com.tw (I am in Taiwan.) (https://www.google.com.tw/webhp?sourceid... It used to go to a new tab page with the thumbnails of most used sites. If I manage to ctrl+click on the thumbnails to open a page, it'll first go to that page and then go immediately to the google page and then keep refreshing that.

Nothing is check in the LAN settings. I haven't installed any extensions or plugins. I rarely go to google.com.tw.

It doesn't happen if I open an incognito window.

To disable it, I've figured out that I can turn off the internet connection, then restart it. Then it's fine.

It also is not happening on other browsers.

Why does sometimes stopping a page load and then refreshing it help load the page faster?

What usually is dubbed as a laggy connection when talking about browsers is one where the connection likes to drop HTTP responses every now and then. The connection isn't actually lagging, packets go through at the same speed -- however some packets just get dropped. In this case, your browser waits for a long time for the response to come through. It doesn't, which leads to it lagging until timeout. When you refresh, most of the resources that did manage to load have been cached so they don't need to be requested again. You are making fewer requests, so you get fewer responses. It's less likely that one will get dropped here.

Amazon keeps clicking and refreshing itself what do i do?

What can i do, it doesn't do it with any other websites, but I've noticed one other thing when i go to google shop it usually won't let me go to a second page
