Why Has Mt Language Became Slurred

Can a person who wasn't born deaf but became deaf later on speak?

I became “legally deaf” at age 7. Yes, I wore hearing aids until my late 20’ regularly and finally put them on the shelf at around 35. So I am one of those who have admitted, Late Deafness.I have had many hours of speech therapy as well as many chastising from my wife, children and colleagues. They did not do this to belittle me, only to help me become the best I can be. You see, I was CEO of a very profitable construction company in my 20’s and 30’s, landing a job as CFO of the second largest medical office in our county in my 40’s. I was very driven to not only prove that I could do the job, like most people in my position, but I also felt an extra burden to help those around me…to prove to the deaf as well as the Deaf that we can do anything we set our minds to.One of the greatest hurdles that I had, was to speak properly so that others could understand me. When I got tired or overwhelmed, those around me stated that I sounded like I had accent, they said, “It sounds cool!”. But I myself, know that it was me letting my guard down.Today, I am retired…and quite frankly…I don’t give a Sh!t what people think of me…I am me. So, if you catch me after chasing my grandkids around the yard all day, splitting a cord of wood, or maybe even enjoying a few too many pints, ya tis gona be a wee bit of an acent, but can still mind my speak!

Is Trump slurring his words more?

The problem with dementia-related issues, they occur slowly and if you watch him almost continuously, one probably doesn’t notice any increase. Having said that, early on, there was speculation that he had dementia. Does the question become at what point does his thinking impair his decision making enough to endanger the position of POTUS? Only qualified specialists can make that determination, but I wouldn’t be surprised if this topic comes up more often than not as Trump gets more and more mental pressure from all the chaos he has created. Last week was especially bad, Cohen, in testimony to Congress, implicated Trump further into dealings with the Russians, especially in regards with the Russian Trump Tower, also implicating his son-in-law and daughter. His summit with Kim was a dud. Cohen produced a check signed by Trump as payment for his sexual escapades, and the trade war negotiations are going well according to Trump and zero as reported by the negotiating team. While Trump paints a rosy picture, it appears things are getting worse for him. How much this affects him, especially if he is further in decline, remains to be seen.“In late 2017, Donald Trump appeared to slur his words while giving an important speech. That, on top of his ongoing Twitter rants and other behaviors before and after taking office, caused many around the world to question his mental fitness. In terms of cognitive health, both Trump and his doctor say he’s just fine. In fact, the president can’t stop talking about his amazing test results.”However:“Donald Trump chose not to undergo an official evaluation from a psychiatrist. Despite many speculations from psychology experts across the country, we don’t know if he could even be diagnosed with any form of mental health disorder.”Donald Trump Got a Perfect Score on This Dementia Assessment

How can I overcome stuttering and slurred speech?

There is no cure for stuttering. I’m 62 y/o and have stuttered all of my life….and I mean SEVERE stutter. It wasn’t until 1982, when I went to an exceptional speech pathologist, did I find hope. During the first session, I was told that it cannot be cured, but it can be controlled. That gave me hope! He gave to me the six rules for good speech. Which are:1) Think - about what you say before you say it.2) Breath - talk as you exhale rather than inhale.3) Move your mouth - that will prevent slurring4) Make all sounds - and be sure to emphasize the last sound of each word.5) Use enough voice6) Talk slow - in order for you speech to sound normal to the listener, it must sound abnormal to you.Too, I learned years ago from Dr. Don Kirkley, who taught public speaking at the Pentagon, the key to effective speaking is hesitation. Pause. No more than six (6) words at a time without a pause. Even less…than six… will work…nicely. Please know there are many well known people, who overcame a severe stutter. The best voice in all Hollywood, James Earl Jones, stuttered so badly that he essentially did not speak from ages 10–14. Then, a teacher taught him to read poetry using a full voice. That voice went on to become the voice of Darth Vader. If you stutter, you are in good company….John Wayne, Bruce Willis, Carly Simon, John Stossel, Moses, Winston Chruchill, Mel Tillis, and many more.My fear of public speaking was more than most could possibly comprehend. Now, it’s a rush. Promise! To make a long story short, by using the rules given to me, I’ve presented workshops/seminars in the majority of the United States. There is more that I could share in this space; however, if you would like to learn more of my experience, take a look at a book on Amazon Kindle, Rise Above: Conquering Adversities.Good luck! YOU can do it!

Why are there so many silent letters in French?

many french words have been created from latin words ; during several centuries it was only speaking language , but when savants became to write those words they have choose to conserve even the silent letters to remind the latin origin of these words . for example the word temps (time) come from the latin word tempus ; in french we don't prononce the letter "p" but this letter is in tempus so they have decided to conserve it .
sorry for my very bad english !!!!!

Is Puerto Rican Spanish similar to Cuban Spanish?

Someone just asked a similar question to this yesterday :-)
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;...

Puerto Rican Spanish is like DR spanish and Cuban spanish.
But you will find that each country has their own idioms and slangs with slight differences in accents. These countries are not too different from each other but you can tell a little.
For example, in Cuba, where there's an 's' that may be cut off...like 'hasta la vista' will sound like 'hata la vita', slurred and spoken quickly so you don't hear 's'.
Same with 'b' as in Cuba and Havana...the 'b' sound will sound like a slurred 'b' often sounding like 'w'.
Another example...'pescado' is fish in spanish and is pronounced 'pes-CA-tho'. In Cuba, the 'th' (as in 'the) and 's' sound will be dropped and will sound like 'pehˈka.o'.
That would be something you can pay attention to.
But like mentioned, these 3 countries all understand each other but can differeniate whose from where.

You can check the links below to understand it a bit more.
