Should I opt for a CA with correspondence B.com or go for regular B.com from Delhi University (Hansraj, Hindu) and then do a CA?
I learnt as a child to never put all my eggs in one basket. Considering how tough it is getting to clear CA Finals, would you be fine if after 5-6 years you don't have a single degree to your name? If CA doesn't work out you can go for a MBA and still get a good life. Don't ever make the mistake of not holding a graduation degree. It is pretty risky. With all due respect I would say that your father is not the one who would be studying and he can't really assess your capability. I understand that he doesn't want your attention and focus to be divided but B.Com hardly takes any time if you are a CA student as B.Com is more like a subset of CA. I know lots of people who successfully did B.Com, CA and CS as well as even CS is related to CA and people would have to dedicate only a few days for CS exams. I would strongly ask you to do a regular B.Com or any other Bachelor degree for that matter. Don't go after CA alone. Nothing takes as much time as CA and with CA you can do most courses pretty easily. Also CA exams barely clash with any other exams and even if they do it is unlikely that both exams are held on the same day and at the same hour. Even if you do complete your CA you would always ask yourself 'what if'. Don't lay the foundations for a doubtful life. It is you who can best assess yourself. If you are smart or hardworking you can even do 3-4 courses so a B.Com won't be tough at all.
What are the merits and demerits of an IGNOU BA certificate in the job sectors (private or government)?
There is no demerit if you want to pursue government job. While Private sectors give importance to knowledge rather than from where you have obtained degree.If you are good teaching at Maths private school do not much bother from which university you have done graduation or even you have done graduation or not.Only demerits of IGNOU is you cannot enjoy college life / college days. I have completed my Bachelors and Master degree from IGNOU and I am working in government sector so far I have not come across any demerits.I have to see my friends who have completed regular college with very surprising face when they are talking about their college life. First of all i would like you to share my experience.After 12th i got a merit seat in engineering. From the 1st sem on-wards i started failing. Then i quited engineering after failing continuously for 6 years.So i too had the same problem which you are facing.I too felt lost. But then i realised that whatever has to happen, happened. Its time to realize the fact and move on. Then i did BCA. Completion of graduation helped me to come back in life. Now i have completed Masters in IT. Now i am trying to get a job. Things are not working out easily. But i know that there will be an end for this job hunt too.So my advice to you is don’t feel lost. Its never too late to start anything. Difficulties will happen in life. Now if you can start acting then you can surely progress in life. If you want to pursue your career in studies its not late to start but remember to take a course in which you are really interested in. Also find out your passion and do work on it daily. It may give you peace of mind.Remember 3 things (my golden rules)Patience is the key to success.Its never too late to start but action speaks more than words.Realise the truth, then act. Take each step inch by inch and move on in life.Every one will have one or the other problem in life. Life without struggle is worthless.*** So dont panic. What is your review of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU)?
I am pursuing MCA from IGNOU. Its really a head-ache now, i am in last semester but frustrated from the process. None of the faculty member from your regional center as well as study centre will help you to answer yours queries. You have to suppose everything at your own and act accordingly. If you ask anything regarding your assignment submission as well as lab courses, your study centre will simply say to ask it from regional centre. And our great regional centres.. no on will attend the phone calls.. no one reply your emails..If sometime you have better luck and they receive your phone call.. a rude person will start talking like you asking them to give hime property.. If by mistake you have send your draft or something to incorrect centre (in my case it happened) they will inform you after the expiry date for the form submission and will tell now nothing can be done now you have to submit form again in next semester. Rude teachers to answer your queries.Sometimes you will feel like you are studying without giving fees so the teachers do not bother about your problems.. They are just teachers in their designation.. they don't even know what to do and how to help students for assignments/labs etc etc..We are pursuing distance study as we can't go to college daily due to our jobs.. But they expect us to go to regional centre which is not in same city, every month to get our simple basic doubts cleared.Coming to projects, sometimes in viva they will say report should be like this.. Next time when you will submit the report as per instruction, some other superintendent will be there to reject it again and to instruct to format it as it was earlier.. You will feel like servants working for them..Will give rating in -ve (if i can) for student supportGood luck to IGNOU student friends!!50% (even more) quits the study from IGNOU due to lack of lab courses arrangement which cause problems in final projects.
