Let me tell you. Its very easy 3step process..Sign in into your imo accountClick the context menu at the top right of the page to select a status. By default, your status will be set to “available”.Select the “Invisible” option from the drop down menu to set your status.This will ensure all of your buddies will be unable to see when you sign in and out of the imo free video calls and chat for Android and iPhone - click to download service. MSN: why do people go online, but APPEAR offline?
I sign in as Appear Offline whenever I sign in. Sometime I change my status straight away to Appear Online, but sometimes I leave it as Appear Offline. I always sign in as Appear Offline because whenever I sign into msn, people automatically start conversations with me and I get so caught up in that, I forget to look at my other contacts that are online that I may want to speak to, but they haven't started a conversation with me. Secondly, I do this because if there isn't many people online that I could have a good conversation with, I sign straight back out. For example, if I signed in as Online then people started talking to me straight away that I had no interest in then I would wanna Log Out of msn, but I would feel rude leaving them straight away because I didn't wanna talk to them. Also, I stay as Appear Offline if I only wanna talk to a few special certain people and don't wanna be rude by saying to people ''Hey, could you not talk to me please? I'm trying to have a conversation with special people..'' :)

Because your whatsapp application is running on the background. If you go online your whatsapp application will also be online, if you don`t want an online whatsapp status then stop the whatsapp application on the phone`s background.

there are 2 explanations. 1. he blocked you. if this is the case then he is a jerk and you should not want to IM him anyways. if you IM him he will NOT receive your IMs. you can make sure this is the case by asking your friend if he is online. if he is online for your friend but offline for you then he blocked you. if you are very curious as to why he blocked you then you can call him and ask him, or you can ask him face to face the next day at school and he'll hav to give you an answer because what else is he going to do? just walk away? 2. he has his IM on "the eye." this means that he appears hidden to everyone. he will appear offline to EVERYONE. he WILL get your im's if you IM him. and he can respond back. i hope he didnt block you... bc if he did he's a jerk. blocking is just mean..

What happens when you click go offline in facebook?
They will think that you got off of facebook and unless you put something on the wall, they won't know you are still there. oh and you can make a "friends list" on the chat thing where you put the people you would like to talk to in it and leave the ones you don't out of it. Then you go offline on the section that says "other friends" and stay online on the new friends list you just made. Then the people you didn't put in your friends list will think you got off of facebook and won't bother you.
