Why is there so much hate between Hindus and Muslims in India?
I will speak only for myself!Yesterday I attended a Muslim wedding as the bride and the groom both happen to be my schoolmates and it's a love marriage.Scene 1:Bride's dad show up.Friend 1: Hello uncle. Uncle: Hi.Friend 2 (Prajapathi): As-salamu walekum. Uncle: Waalaikum salaam.Me: Namaste uncle. Uncle: Namaste beta.Scene 2:Bride's brother turns up.“Veg is upstairs. Have soon before the non-vegetarians (he meant Muslims) invade veg counters”. He accompanied us and made sure we tasted every dish.Scene 3:All the male guests hugged the hosts. Brahmin, lingayat, Muslim, Christian,Prajapathi, Gowda. Every damn person.More than 50% of the guests were Hindus.Do you see any hate here!?I am neither proud of any of the above instances because this is how it is supposed to be.I have changed 7 schools, 2 colleges, 8 houses, 6 different localities over past 25 years and have not witnessed any actions that shows hate towards any religion or community.We are brahmins. My dad's best friend is a Christian. My best friend is a Muslim. And my mom…well she doesn't have many friends.The majority of commoners in India are living a peaceful life with the other religions.There is a problem of mis-interpretation among the masses and the media is very well aware of this.We hate those who preach against hinduism, we do not hate Muslims.We hate those who slaughter cows. We do not hate Muslims.We hate those who destroy temples. We do not hate Muslims.We hate those who spread terror/violence. We do not hate Muslims.P.S: This is what I have heard. Correct me if I am wrong. Who are Hindus? All the citizens of Hindustan are Hindis. It seems even in Mecca the Indian Muslims who go for pilgrimage are/were addressed as “Hindis” because they are from Hindustan.It's my nation. It's your nation. Why Do Indian Muslims Have Such Disdain For Hinduism When They Are All From A Hindu Ancestory???
The amount of posion that they have for Hinduism, as evidenced from the rubbish that they post about Hinduism on yahoo India R and S board, obviously means that they have forgotten that they have more Hindu ancestors than Muslim ancestors. May I kindly remind Indian Muslims that had Hinds been capable enough of defending India from the mongols, instead of fighting between themselves, today all you people would have been sitting here as Hindus and would have been singing the praises of Hinduism rather than defaming Hinduism. Just remember that you are only Muslim because your ancestors were all traitors and they converted in order to either save their necks or to obtain economic benefits under the Mughals. That, in my opinion, is nothing to be proud about. Q : Why can’t Indian Muslims be like the Parsis?A : The two communities are just incomparable.In general Parsis are educated,Average size of Parsi families is small [reasons apart], and hence they can provide good facilities to their children,Rich Parsis support their deprived community members and hence there would be hardly any Parsis dependent on other communities or government,Parsis have created jobs for the society and have employed people from other communities as well.In spite of being a very small minority in India, Parsis do not demand reservations,Parsis do not cause any nuisance to the society, [in India or abroad]Parsis do not get involve in any crime or offenses or even anti national or anti social activities,Parsis do not get involved in the religious matters of other communities neither allow other people to get involved in their religious matters,Parsis are assets and not a liability in India,Generally Parsi is small, nice, decent, soft spoken and highly cultured community,Do the above points apply to Muslim Community, in general, in India?
Why do Arabs look like Indians?
First of all, looks do not define ethnicity in totality. It is culture, language and to some extent nationality. Indians themselves are a genetic mixture of various migrant groups that moved into the Indian subcontinent for centuries, coupled with geographic factors. So, any form of mixture can result in a person looking alike anything. The Arabs are divided into two groups(1) Original Arabs :The people of the desert regions of the arabian peninsula(2) Arabized people groups : Levantic people groups such as Syrians, Jordanians, Palestinians, Lebanese and so forth. These people groups originally had their own languages, until the Arab invasion of their lands and with Islamization, they became Arabized gradually by adopting Arabic language. Some inter-mixture took place too.You have to also look at things geographically. Darker skin is a product of melanin, the skin protecting itself from the harsh hot sun. In a hot desert you will not have a fair skin. Any “fair skin” among Saudis are due to recent marriages with Turks, Persians, Lebanese women who marry rich Saudi men. So their offspring will have “fair skin”.The northern part of Arabia you go, the more there is mixture of Indo-European, Caucasian/Persian/Turkish blood. The more south you go, you get closer to the original Arabians who are darker.India and Arabia are in the same latitude from a sunshine basis, that also adds to the pigmentation. Finally, many Semitics and Indo-Aryans (fair skinned northern Indians and Pakistanis) are both part of the Southern Caucasian people groups, whose ancient ancestors shared a common ancestry at some point long ago somewhere in central Asia.Saudis generally tend to distance themselves from Indians, as racism is inherently strong among them, but Omanis, Yemenis,other gulf Arabians won’t mind being compared to northern Indians/Pakistani.The ultimate thing is, why do Chinese and Koreans and Japanese look similar or why do Cambodians, Thais, Indonesians look similar? It is more to do with close geographies and shared genetics.Southern Indians of course have more Australoid blood in them, so they will tend to be more darker with broader noses and thicker lips depending on how much Australoid content they have in them or their ancestryIt brings the whole thing back to square 1, it is not looks that define a person’s identity, it is the culture, shared language and shared history along with geography all combined that ultimately define a person’s identity.
Why do many Indians look down upon Nepalese ppl in India? They call them 'chaukidaars.' why?
Nepalese are close to India in culture and religion and tradition, yet many Indians call them 'chaukidaars' and look down upon them. Why is that? They worship Muslims like shah rukh khan yet degrade their own blood brothers, the neplaese, why is that?
Why are indian muslims jealous of pakistanis?
I think it s the other way round. Most of Pakistanis are crazy about Bollywood superstars, most of the top ones being Muslims. Indian Muslims are very much a part of our society and we coexist in harmony plus the Indian Muslims enjoy more freedom than their Pakistani counterparts as we are a democracy.
