Why Is Alyssa Such A Princess

What do people mean when they call someone a princess?

What do people mean when they call someone a princess? It depends on the context. When we were little, Mom’s Dad used to write checks to “Princess Barbara” and “Princess Frances”. Somehow, we were able to cash or deposit the checks. Not sure if Mark’s were addressed to “Prince Mark” or not. That was a sweet way to refer to us.When someone referred to me as a J.A.P. (Jewish American Princess), I was not amused. The context was that I was spoiled. As I grew up in a military family, and my parents believed in saying “no” to us frequently to get us used to hearing it, these were people who clearly didn’t know me. In that context, it was an insult. If someone is either born into or marries into royalty, that is another matter entirely. Then, it is a matter of what ettiquette and protocol dictate.

How do you feel about the name alyssa?

It's pretty common in my area! It's actually one of my best friend's names! Regardless, I think it is gorgeous. It's feminine and princess-y, yet also down to earth and can be tomboyish. Also easy to pronounce. I think it's a winner!

Do you think Alyssa is an ugly name?

The name Alyssa reminds me of two different types of people.
One being a really nice, caring, beautiful girl
the other being a total princess, bi!ch, s!ut.

So lets hope she number 1

Which name do you prefer.. Alyssa, Alicia or Amira?

Personally, I've always loved Alisia/Alicia :] Its a beautiful name! Alicia means "noble or bright", Alyssa means "rational" which is an interesting meaning! Amira means "prosporous princess" - which is lovely to hear!

What were the worms with faces, snakes with hands inside Princess Aerea in Fire and Blood?

When Barth begins talking about things moving under the skin of Aerea (or Rhaella, since that switch most likely happened), I was thinking of the various real world flies that have a life cycle involving larvae crawling out of other organisms. And with all the burns and boils described, my first guess was firewyrms.Firewyrms. Some say they are akin to dragons, for wyrms breathe fire too. Instead of soaring through the sky, they bore through stone and soil. If the old tales can be believed, there were wyrms amongst the Fourteen Flames even before the dragons came. The young ones are no larger than that skinny arm of yours, but they can grow to monstrous size and have no love for men.—- The Kindly Man, A Feast for Crows.Barth’s account becomes more and more horrible with every sentence, and describes the things as “worms with faces” and “snakes with hands”. I didn’t find the second one too weird - I just thought it was a reptile from their world, a lizard of some sort with a snake-like body. Perhaps it was their world’s basilisk. The “worms with faces” was definitely creepy, but it’s not the first little creature we know from the series that displays a face - a human face, no less. Yes, I’m talking about manticores. The scarab unfolded with a hiss.Dany caught a glimpse of a malign black face, almost human, and an arched tail dripping venom…—- Daenerys and the manticore, A Clash of KingsWhile my initial thoughts were of Sothoryos, I wholly believe Barth’s assumptions that Balerion went to the smoking ruins of Old Valyria, the place of his birth (paralleling Drogon going to the Dothraki Sea from Meereen), taking Aerea into danger. We have no idea what’s going on in the Smoking Sea, and nobody we know of has survived a trip here. Except for Euron Greyjoy, of course, but it’s a difficult thing to believe.Either way, there was something there that injured Balerion, and some kind of parasites that got attached to Aerea. Barth suspects that the creatures were the result of Valyrian sorcery, as they had reportedly bred monstrous chimeras. Perhaps the parasites were a mix/combination of firewyrms, basilisks, and manticores - hybrid creatures bred with blood magic. After all, The World of Ice and Fire suggest that (from Barth’s book again) the dragons themselves may have been bred from wyverns (possibly mixed with firewyrms).Or, for all we know, they were just regular firewyrms, and that’s how they operate.

Why did King Viserys marry off his daughter to another house, making her heirs Velaryon?

I assume you're referring to Viserys I's daughter Rhaenyra marrying Laenor Velaryon. I'm guessing that if Jacaerys Velaryon had become king after his mother, he would have taken the Targaryen surname. Same thing happens in Westeros when a title is passed through a matrilineal line: If a lady who is an heiress or lady in her own right has children, the children take her name. In the case of the Martells, for examples, the Martell name is passed on to all children. Arys Oakheart has the surname of his mother, who is Lady Oakheart in her own right. If I recall "The Princess and the Queen," it's the Hightower faction that specifies Jacaerys Velaryon. Meaning, they're the ones emphasizing the "other"-ness, which as the rival faction they have incentive to do. But when Rhaenyra's sons are defending themselves against the bastard rumor (which was actually almost certainly true), they say something like, "Only Targaryens ride dragons." Which is kind of dumb — even if they're Strong bastards, they still have a Targaryen mother. But the point is that they see themselves as Targaryens. And of course the Velaryons aren't just any family. They're already closely related to the Targaryens and Aegon, Rhaenys and Visenya had a Velaryon mother. Viserys was descended from Alyssa Velaryon. And Princess Rhaenys had already married Corlys Velaryon, making Laenor a cousin. They weren't that much of an outside family.

Why isn't the movie 'Anastasia' a disney movie?

Why not? Personally I think she is WAY better than all the other princesses. I mean She's BEAUTIFUL, she has the best voice, the prettiest name, and her story is better than the others. So why isn't she a Disney princess.
And why don't many people know about her?

What are some other famous, tragic couples such as Sid and Nancy?

(sorry it's cliche) Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love
