Is global warming a real threat?
There are several things humans do to cause global warming, which is produced by Carbon Dioxide. Anything that uses electricity, unless your electric source is a hydroelectric dam, windmills, or solar power, contributes to greenhouse gases. On average, running household appliances contributes several dozen THOUSAND pounds of CO2 into the atmosphere per family per year. That quickly adds up to billions of pounds from the US alone. Plus the other several thousand pounds from driving cars. Every pound of gasoline creates about 8 pounds of CO2 (because oxygen is taken out of the air). So humans end up putting much more CO2 in the air than plants can turn back into oxygen through photosynthesis, and CO2 levels increase. Is it a real threat? In a sense yes. It seems that there will be global climate change. I think that humans will be able to cope with it (other animals won't have it as well off), and that species will eventually adapt to the new environment. However, if we don't want to be the cause of a global change, we should probably do something. ~Max Oh yeah, and breathing creates CO2 as well, so if an annoying hyper-environmentalist gets all "in your face" about global warming, tell them to help the environment and stop breathing.

Yes i believe it is now I'm no rocket scientist but look at the high level of pollution and the drastic changes in the weather winters are getting worse and summer heat is sometimes unbearable.

it's not. “eminent” suggest that is about to, but has not yet happened.it's happening.it's no longer something that the scientists have warned that will happen in the distant future or even the near future.man-made global warming already started when we've learnt about it in the 60s, the question has always been, could we stop the shit storm from turning cat5.instead our enlightened elected officials have missed the deadline for submission and are collectively sitting in a bar drinking whiskey and wine hoping it's not actually happening.

Humans have no control over the Earth’s climate. Politics and politicians created the Anthropogenic Global Warming “dog and pony show”, they have denigrated CO2 into a “magic gas” that is supposed cause runaway warming and failed. The made up pseudoscience that “fiddled” with the Laws of Physics is being debunked daily, exposing the hoax. The Sun and natural variances have begun to cool the Earth and that is the ultimate “slap in the face”, for this Alarmist joke that will fade away in history as a bad dream.

Yes. At the moment Global warming is not making a profound affect but an affect nonetheless. If the global temperatures rise 1.5 degrees celcius there will be a great affect. Scientists predict that a rise of 1.5 degrees would mean that there would be a sharp exponential rise in global temperatures. After it rises by 1.5 there will be lots of problems. For example, by temperatures rising many crops will die, there will be a lot less food to go around the growing population. Ecosystems will be damaged, as temperatures rise coral are getting destroyed. Coral reefs are the primary producer of the water food chain. Fish won’t have enough food and the ecosystem will suffer. With temperatures rising above 1.5 degrees the world will be very different, there will be a lot less food to go around. Even today there is so much hunger in the world, imagine what the world would be like with less food and a greater population. Change needs to happen now, studies show that 139 countries can go 100percent clean enery. By doing this co2 emmisons will decrease and the world will be in a better position. countries in the Middle East and the US they are very abundant in oil, they don’t want to use clean energy as it is far more expensive than oil that they have. Even though the EU declared that they would be carbon neutral by 2050 more needs to happen. The U.S, China and India are large contributors to global co2 emmisons, those 3 countries need to invest more money in clean energy. Furthermore, study’s show that by switching to clean energy now will be better for the economy than switching in a few decades. The time for change is now. In conclsion global warming will soon become a bigger issue if there is no change in the source of electricity.

It is the most serious threat there is. Daniel Rothman, a geophysics professor at MIT, recently studied the 31 times in the past that CO2 has risen dramatically from natural causes like super volcanoes or asteroids hitting the Earth. He looked at the 4 times that this increase in CO2 triggered mass extinction events, like the “Great Dying” 252 million years ago. He determined the level of CO2 at which it passed a threshold that triggered a mass extinction. Once he determined that threshold, he determined how long it would be before humans reached this threshold. The answer is that we will probably reach this threshold by the year 2100, if we continue our CO2 emissions at our current rate. Rising sea levels can submerge trillions of dollars worth of real estate. Farms turning into deserts can ruin the economy, not to mention causing large scale starvation. Rivers drying up can make it necessary to abandon inland cities that need water flowing through them for drinking water, sewage, power, etc., not to mention transportation. Hundreds of millions of people worldwide will become climate refugees with no place to live and no jobs. This will put a strain on our society that could easily bankrupt and break it.

Spread of socialism. Taxpayers paying through the nose for am unproven load of nonsense. Traitors like H H Lamb (who abandoned his country in time of war and fled to a neutral country until the danger had passed) being taken seriously.
What is a greater threat to the world, terrorism or global warming?
Global warming. Sea level rise along can cost a trillion dollars in the US alone (Rising seas could wipe out $1 trillion worth of U.S. homes and businesses) and it total it can cost much more (If You Think Fighting Climate Change Will Be Expensive, Calculate the Cost of Letting It Happen) so it can crash the entire US economy (Climate Change Could Spark a Recession With No Recovery). It may very well kill billions of people (70 percent of humanity will DIE in shock DOOMSDAY scenario) and render a third of the world uninhabitable (Extreme Heat Could Make One Third of Planet Uninhabitable). It could even potentially wipe out the human race (1-in-20 chance climate change will wipe out humanity by 2100). Terrorists could hardly dream of creating anywhere near these levels of death and destruction.
