Why Is Iphone So Complicated

Why are iPhones so restricted?

Ip dont get me wrong it a great phone,an awesome phone, but it has so many restrictions.

-you can't Bluetooth with any device, not even idevises
-u can't download anything from safari.... Anyways please give an answer based on facts,I mean you pay so much and u are stil restricted, why can't they have this option that if u turn it off it lets u download stuff from safari.

Why is jet engine construction so complicated?

Well….quite a big topic.Imagine a kerosene lamp.Light it. Let it burn. Now blow air towards the flame. Keep on increasing the speed of the wind. After a certain speed, the flame can't hold on and is blown out.Now imagine the same lamp, but without the thread or wick for the flame to hold onto. The kerosene is injected to a system of baffles and flameholders to hold the flame burning in place .But this time, the wind blows much faster! More than 800km/h to be exact!!! and the flame must hold on.Also, the flame burns in upwards of 2000 degrees, capable of melting the flame holder and whatever is there nearby. Now how do you design something that must work like mentioned above, continue running for several hours at a stretch without killing itself? That's jet engine for you.

Why do people like iPhone when it is so complicated to use as compared with other brands?

I’d been in the same notion as you were in before having iphone. But it was not completely true as it was portrayed generally. One thing was sure that ios doesn’t offer a lot of customization that android offers . But you will not be disappointed at all using this phone because of the way it performs. You have mentioned that we have to pay for most of the apps…no , all the general and day-to-day apps , most games were free . I’ve been using iphone 5S from past 15 months and i purchased very few apps (those were paid apps even in google playstore)And when it comes to music and video stuff….yes , it was not the same as in case of andriod mobiles . You either have to purchase from itunes (to directly download on mobile ) or you can download in pc and transfer with itunes software . It seems bit difficult but believe me you won’t find it hard as you use . There are many third party software like CopyTrans to transfer stuff to and fro from iphone . These are very easy to use when compared to itunes . I generally use wynk music player to directly download songs . You can transfer photos easily like android phones.Coming to it’s pricing , i don’t want to comment on it (definitely it costs more) .Finally , if you are a heavy user (on andriod) , you will feel it difficult to adapt iphone as it lacks customization (Although you can have many cool features by jailbreaking it) . If you are an average user and you don’t want to complain on it’s price , you will like it for sure.

Why are iPhones so complicated to use?

Well they aren’t.iOS devices like iPhones, iPads and iPods are without a doubt the easiest to use mobile devices in the world, and what more would you expect from Apple, from day 1 in 1984 with the original Mac, and in 2001 with the iPod, and the first iPhone in 2007, Apple were, and still are driven by Simplicity and clever innovation.Android is a lot more complicated with widgets and so many different pages up and down, now some people love this as it gives you loads of customisation, but for many it can be intimidating.Yes there is a learning curve to all Operating Systems, but Apple is among the easiest, thats why iPads are used in schools, offices and at home to control smart devices.

How complicated is android/iphone application Development?

It depends completely on what the app does. Apps range for very simple to very complex. Still, there are fundamental design and programming principles you need to understand no matter what -- in particular human interface guideline standards, graphics standards, content standards, and memory management. These take some time to master, but if you create a simple app that is based completely on template/sample apps then most of these principles are taken care of for you.

> How hard is it actually?

Designing, developing, and marketing a successful app is not easy, it requires skill and experience like anything.

> I have heard of kids as young as 9 years old doing it. True? Fake?

Sure... anybody can make a simple app like I said. A 9 year old certainly had help from somebody to get started with the dev environment and distribute the app. Just setting up the iOS plist or Android Manifest file and encryption signing the app package for distribution, while not really complicated, takes even an experience developer a couple tries to get right. A child would not be able to do it without guidance.

> I can understand HTML and CSS.

C\Java\Objective-C programming is quite a bit more complicated than HTML/CSS. Maybe you should start with developing a mobile web app, building on the skills you already have. JavaScript and PHP scripting (which are used in web apps) are good stepping stones to real programming.

> for your average joe brain, how hard is it going to be for me to learn

Not hard to make a simple app, but it will be harder to make a useful app and quite difficult to develop a game. All except for the very very simplest games (ie. multiple choice trivia) will require a lot of graphics programming. You'll need to know how to really code in iOS/Android graphics libraries, OpenGL ES, or an engine handling these libraries.

Why is the iPhone so popular?

Because it's aimed at the average user (which is the majority of people). Not everyone knows a lot about technology. You must remember the old days. Smartphones were difficult to use and was only aimed at business users.

Apple was the first to break that idea off and make a smartphone that was really easy and can be used by anyone. It appeals to the average user because it offers better functions than a feature phone and you don't need to be a genius to know how to use an iPhone. Plus, the idea of Apps have became more popular. In other words, "It just works.".

And no, I'm not an Apple fanboy, but you got to admit, if it weren't for Apple, smartphones wouldn't be like this today. No one would've cared about touchscreen phones. No one would've cared about smartphones or phones that had Wi-Fi capabilities and feature phones wouldn't be as cheap as they are now.

Yes, it's not the best phone. But, the average user likes the looks of it and the brand and since it's easy to use, of course people would use it.

Why does Apple make everything so complicated?

Apple is known for their user-friendly UI (User Interface) & amazing UX (User Experience). One can use it intuitively. And easily. If you refer “complicated” as limited or not having that much freedom as other OS or device, you might be right. It’s because they want to have total control of their products. They want each of us have the same level of experience and satisfaction when we’re using their products. Something you won’t get from other OS or brand. Thus, we gotta do everything the Apple way. But as far as I’ve seen, it’s far from complicated.

Why are iPhones so hard to hack?

You can’t just take a stab at guessing someone’s iPhone passcode. After five wrong guesses, you’re forced to wait a minute. After nine wrong guesses, you have to wait an hour. Depending on how the phone was set up, it might delete all its data after 10 wrong tries. The iPhone is essentially protected by a lock that can't be picked - even by the brightest minds at Apple itself.Only the phone knows what the passcode is, and there’s no way to get around that, according to Apple’s security whitepaper. You just have to try over and over. Here’s the problem. When you enter a passcode into your iPhone, the processor has to make a calculation to check whether your code is correct. Apple has made the math so complicated that it takes about 80 milliseconds — roughly one-twelfth of a second — for the phone to crunch the numbers.“This means it would take more than 5½ years to try all combinations of a six-character alphanumeric passcode with lowercase letters and numbers,” Apple security guide says.If you make too many mistakes, the phone is locked, and Apple's encryption technology erases the phone’s data after 10 failed attempts to break the passcode. This means it is impossible for someone to use a program to guess the passwords by trying every possible permutation. Can Apple get into my iPhone? No, because it does not hold a virtual "master key" which would allow it unfettered access.Source

Why are modern filming cameras so fabulous complicated compared to say a tiny iPhone camera?

Why are modern filming cameras so fabulous complicated compared to say a tiny iPhone camera? When an iPhone captures an image, the computer that is the heart of that phone makes dozens of decisions about exposure, focus, color balance, etc. All based on the guesses of technicians that programmed that computer months or years ago. Those guesses are based on estimates of what those technicians supposed would result in images that the average consumer would like.By now, you should be smelling a lot of “guesses” and “estimates” and “average” coming off of the iPhone answer. It’s not just the iPhone. Any camera that handles things automatically does this, including the most expensive, top-of-the-line DSLR. They all take a stab at guessing just what you, the consumer, might like. Since most consumers just want to be able to recognize what they were pointing their cameras towards with minimal thought invested in getting what they want, the parameters that go into these guesses are pretty well known. But a professional’s livelihood depends on delivering images to exacting specification. All of those buttons and switches and roller settings and knobs allow the photographer to manually adjust all of those dozens of settings the automatics guess at.In fact, one of the more frustrating aspects of modern digital photography for a serious photographer, amateur or professional, when it comes to camera design, is the manufacturers’ desire to reduce the clutter in their camera controls. OP’s sample picture shows a camera where that design philosophy wasn’t followed too closely. But most DSLRs are designed to look clean and uncluttered. Which translates to photographers being required to study any new additions to their camera equipment because the function that was reached by setting this menu item and then adjusting the parameters with that wheel and whose numeric value was seen in the viewfinder in this corner are now in entirely different places. It’d be nice to be able to upgrade all your camera bodies simultaneously so that they stay consistent across the board, but who has money to do that?tl/dr: Automatic cameras guess at “best” and don’t allow users to override those guesses so they have no need for many controls, which is how most snapshot shooters like it. A professional photographer needs to control his tools. Those buttons and switches are the controls.
