When you love everything you are attached to nothing?
I think to genuinely love everyone you would have to know the true nature of reality and be a fully enlightened being. In its exquisiteness everything is continually dissolving. Every moment flows into the next and is gone. To live deeply and soak in every moment as it happens there would be no need for attachment for you know IT is continually happening and isn't really going anywhere, but changing forms. From this deep understanding I think love is automatic. Thich Nhat Hanh said something in a book I read of his, "Understanding and love are not two things but one". I love everyone, but like I said in a post earlier I wrote to you, it is a continual process of staying in that state every single moment of life and I do slip out of it. So I do get attached to those thoughts. Stupid thoughts pop up but it's being aware of them you let them dissolve and let love flow. So yes a fully enlightened being is not attached to anything for they see it all as transient, yet eternal and they love all beings as themselves. Namaste.
When you see a homeless person holding a sign..?
on the side of the road or someone with a sign saying they will work for food do you give them a couple dollars?? Or do you just drive by telling yourself who cares they are probably just scamming? I personally give at least 3 or 4 dollars everytime i see someone.. the way i see it is.. its not up to me to decide whether or not they are lying or really need it.. thats between them an god and its my job to judge them its my job to lend a helping hand even if its a few dollars because it can help a little at least... because it has to be so humiliating to get into a situation where begging is the only option and they are probably so embarrassed to have to do so.. so i dont think about if they are scamming or not.. So i would like your opinions about it and what you do? and how do you not feel guilty when you just drive past ignoring them when you dont really know what a fw dollars could do for them ? Keep a good heart and good mind and help out.. dont question it.leave that to god
Is it wrong to choose stepchildren over your own children?
Yes, it is wrong for him to have taken his step children over his own children. We lose sight of what is right and wrong sometimes and he has done this. We can't blame the wife because he is a grown man can very capable of making his own decisions, but sometimes we do this to keep peace within the circle we have now. It's wrong and shouldn't be done and he is not a man to allow this to happen. He helped make these two children and he should have been there for his daughter's graduation. But Mom this is a fight his daughters will have to take up, not you. It will only make it worse if you even try. He will become frustrated by his lack of being there and turn it all around to blame you.
How do you hold back Tics?
It's almost like holding back a sneeze. For most people with Tourette's, it's more "unvoluntary" than "involuntary". Meaning, you know it's going to happen, but you feel you have to do it. Most of the time, I can hold back a tic by occupying another part of by body or simply refusing to do it. Sometimes I wiggle my toes, cross my toes so there's tension there, blink really hard, shake my leg, that sort of thing. I redirect the tension that would normally go into the tic into something else. I find I can almost choose how I tic if I'm not particularly upset, so I do something less noticeable (eye blinking) to release the tension. Sometimes holding tics back can make them worse when you actually do let them out, but this is rarely a problem for me. On occassion I find I can just ignore the urge to tic for long enough that it will go away. Course, sometimes the tic just happens. You don't know it's coming, and it just bursts out. Not much you can do if that's what most of your tics are like. Best of luck!
