Why Is It So Hard To Lose Baby Weight

Hard Time Losing pregnancy weight after 3rd baby?

Don't listen to anyone that says 'breastfeeding will help you lose weight'...it's bull! In reality, your body will hold on to extra weight to protect your milk supply in case of emergency. For instance, if you were to stop eating, your body has held on to enough fat that you can still produce milk for quite a while. Plus, if you're anything like me, after pumping/nursing, you'll be STARVING and want to eat anything in sight! My weight stayed basically the same for quite a while as I breastfed (despite light workouts and calorie reductions), but now that I've weaned my baby, I'm seeing slight drops without changing much. Good luck to you!!

Why is losing weight so damn HARD?

Answer: because eating is so damn easy!!
Seriously, you need a plan. Try this one:

1. Get a full-length mirror, and draw an outline on it that you would like to be. Look into the mirror each morning and night, and draw your outline on it once a week(whiteboard marker will be easy to remove).
As you lose weight you will see the lines coming together.
2. Start eating a healthy diet: wholegrain cereals and bread, fresh fruits and vegetables, fish, lean meat, drink water. Avoid: junk food and sugary soda or alcoholic drinks. You will find that if your body is getting the right nutrients it won't crave more and more food. Take a multivitamin daily.
3. Get regular exercise: start with walking 15 minutes morning and evening, then extend the time. Ride a bike, do moderate exercises while watching TV.
4. Don't smoke or take illegal drugs.
5. Get plenty of rest.
6. Say (aloud) to yourself) each morning and evening " Every day in every day I am getting better and better; thinner and thinner; stronger and stronger."

Why don't you offer to do the grocery shopping? I'm sure your mother would benefit from a heallthier diet also.

Loosing the Baby Weight After Having a boy Harder, than Girl?

why does loosing baby weight seem so hard after having a baby boy. with my first pregnancy, my daughter, i lost all the weight very quickly, within a few months after having her, and i was back to my usual small framed self. and now after giving birth to my son, 5 months later, i have been working out hard, but still struggling to loose the baby weight. is it because i had a boy, why is it being difficult this time?

How did you lose weight after your pregnancy?

By Fasting. It won’t affect your milk supply at all.Long fasts are great unless you are underweight or pregnant. If you are underweight then a short few days fast is better for you and if you are pregnant then you shouldn't fast at all. Fasting is great for everything. Within 24–48 hours fasting, your body will have burned through all of its glycinate (sugar) and you will go into a state of ketosis and burn ketone bodies that are generated from your fat storage. The 2nd and 3rd day of fasting are the toughest because your body is adjusting and you will feel hungry and may get headaches. by the 4th and 5th days, your body will lessen the production of Ghrelin, the hunger hormone and you will feel like you could go on fasting forever and you could actually go for months if you have enough fat storage. The record is 391 days. You will first notice a putrid tasting white film on your tongue that needs to be cleaned off several times a day, this is just toxin released through the tongue and this will last for over 10 days if not longer. Your skin and perspiration will also smell really bad. Many people break their longterm fast after the tongue gets clean again as it is an indicator that you are detoxified. What you will also notice is increased energy since you are now burning ketone bodies which are the best fuel source for the muscles, organs, and brain. Your mind will become crystal clear, your I.Q. will go up and all depression and anxieties go away since fasting is the greatest and fastest way to lower chronic inflammation which is the root cause of long-term depression. You might feel so much energy that it will be hard to sleep and if so, there is no harm in working out. This is fasting not starvation. You will lose a lot of weight, up to 2lb a day and your body will go into autophagy, meaning your body will start eating away dead and unneeded cells for food. So scars, acne, skin tags blemishes, stretch marks will fade and most likely disappear completely, your skin will be glowing. Autophagy also eats away tumors, cysts, and bad bacteria in the gut too. Fasting will reset your metabolism. I did a 21 day fast and came out of it a new man.

How did you lose weight after pregnancy?

First watch what you eat. Drink lots of water. Try to eat little to no junk food and sugar, choose healthy snacks instead; ie: fruits, vegetables, cheese, milk or juice. Limit your food intake when you eat, take small to medium size servings and NEVER go back for seconds, skip dessert most of the time.

Most important start a workout of some sort as soon as your doctor says its safe. Pick something you like to do running, speed walking, yoga, weight lifting, swimming, what ever you enjoy, or a combination of them. Just be sure that you do a warm up and cool down and get your heart rate up for at least 30 - 40 min. Try to work out at least 5 days out of the week ,7 if you have time, for at least an hour a day.

It can be hard to find the time with a new baby. I have found its easiest when daddy is home and can watch the baby for me while I work out and shower. I am breastfeeding which makes it even harder so i pump a bottle during the day and during work out time, I work out every night, its bottle time and daddy can feed the baby a bottle if he is hungry. You can even do some things like squats with your baby in your arms this just adds weight resistance making it more effective.

Remember it took 9 months to make a baby expect it to take 9-12 months to lose most the weight and regain the muscle tone you had before you had the baby. I have gotten back to 130 lbs with 4 of my kids, and am starting over after the newest, (6 weeks old) doing the things I mentioned above.

Good luck

Having a hard time losing weight 2 years after c section?

Yes I had a horrible time losing weight after my son was born nine years ago. I started by joining Spark people online it's free and lets you keep track of everything you eat , and all your activity. It gives you great tips and there is a huge social network to connect with people who can relate. I saw a difference right away. I lost 6 pounds in the first week by tracking what I ate and entering my activity. I bought an exercises kit at Walmart, with weights a pedometer and one of those huge balls. I began by doing the simple exercises on the package, Then I also started working out to Gilead on TV and All star workouts, I even tried the belly dancing show a few times. It started working, I was finally losing weight. It's harder after C sections because the actually cut through muscles in your stomach they have to heal before you lose Weight. I had my daughter our last one by C section last march I am getting ready to rejoin myself maybe I will see you there!
