Why Is My New Laptop Slow

Why is my new laptop slow?

So I replaced my old laptop with a new one, but the new one is slower. I don't know much about computer hardware, so I was hoping you could help me.

np365e5c-s05us is the new laptop and psk0qu-00q004 is the old.

Is there a physical reason why the new laptop would be slower, or is it something I can fix with software? Thanks :)

Why is my new laptop slow?

Below can help you speed up your pc:
1. Click Start, Programs, Accessories, System Tools – run Disk Cleanup
2. Temporarily close Quick Launch:
Right-click on the Taskbar, click Toolbars, deselect Quick Launch
3. Open My Computer
Right-click on C:
Click Properties
Click Tools, select Error Check (check all and fix), when finished click defrag & run.
4. Click Start, Run ipconfig -renew (type ipconfig space renew)
5. Restart. Right-click on Taskbar, click Toolbars, select Quick Launch to restore

All these things should be done regularly. The more frequently they are run, the less time they take.
-Note: Games and videos are mostly graphics. Graphics create large files. If these suggestions don't help, you might need more memory.

Last, if you haven't cleaned your registry in a while. This is necessary. Your registry holds all the information regarding updates, installs, un-installs etc. Each one of those events produces a key. That key needs your PC's resources and free space. So, if you clean your registry, you make more resources available for speed. Does a registry scan if you got more than 20 errors you should clean it.

Why is my new laptop so slow?

So just last week I purchased this laptop http://www.walmart.com/ip/HP-Flyer-Red-15.6-15-f272wm-Laptop-PC-with-Intel-Pentium-N3540-Processor-4GB-Memory-500GB-Hard-Drive-and-Windows-10-Home/46429958 and when I first turned it on it was fine but after a few hours it started acting up and taking forever to load pages, but I thought it was just my internet so I turned it off. As the days have passed, my laptop just gets worse, it takes forever to load anything but idk why because it s a new laptop. What can it be? Is it Windows 10 that s making the laptop slow? I also just paid my internet bill and it s still acting up so its the laptop. Should I just return it? Please help!

Why is my new laptop so slow?

Just yesterday I bought a brand new Lenovo G505 from Future Shop. I know it's not a very high end machine, but it seems pretty slow. All I've downloaded is Google Chrome and Norton 360, and all I have open right now is Chome with 3 tabs open. I've switched it from power saving mode to high performance mode, but that hasn't helped. Facebook in particular seems to be very slow. It has 2GB RAM which should be plenty for just running the internet. Still, pages seem to crash a lot and it often seems to take 5-10 seconds between me clicking on something and it actually responding. Even system programs like the network and sharing center and control panel take around 30 seconds if not more to open. All I use my computer for is browsing the internet, iTunes, and the occasional photo edit, so I thought this laptop would be enough. Anybody have any ideas on how I can make it faster, or why it seems so slow? Thanks

Why is my laptop sooo slow?

I just got a brand new laptop YESTERDAY and it is so so so slow. It takes about 5 minutes to load chrome and get to the site I am trying to go to. It is 10x slower than the laptop that I am replacing and idk what to do. I got this new one is a gift, do I tell the person in hopes they can return it for another one? Or did I maybe already get a virus on it? The only thing I downloaded on here was the Chrome app and I noticed the computers slowness before I even did that. I am not tech savy at all, just looking for some basic instructions on how to go about this

Why is the internet so slow on my new laptop?

By your question the true answer is impossible to diagnose. Has it always been slow (since you opened it out of the box). Did it become slow after a week or two? Is it just this new laptop but other computers on the same network run slow. If you take the laptop to a coffee shop or university is it still just as slow on their network? Do you have Windows, Mac, Chromebook, Linux, etc…? Is it just as slow on both the wireless and ethernet connection? You could have malware, whereas I would recommend you run malwarebytes in safe mode to check it out.Feel free to answer these questions in the comments and I will help you try to resolve the issue. Since this is a new laptop you should have technical support with the manufacturer still. They should be able to login and help you identify if there are any problems or if it is actually defective in some way.

Why is my new HP laptop running so slowly?

I am going to guess, probably because you bought one with a slow hard drive. You should’ve got one with an SSD.SSDs are the reason why computers are so fast. Not processors, not graphics cards.Storage is key. You skimped out.Look up your laptop’s model number with the words “SSD upgrade” and get an SSD that would fit.If it has an m.2 slot, get an m.2 SSD.If only the 2.5″ HDD slot is usable, get a 2.5″ SSD, transfer the OS into it and replace the HDD with it.And next time, don’t skimp out on things you use and depend on regularly. Computers are very important nowadays. Now I am not saying you should get a 4000$ Acer Predator 21X, that would be stupid.I am just telling you that whatever you buy, buy one with an SSD.

My New Laptop is extremely slow...?

I bought a Dell Inspiron 15 5565 on March. It is a great laptop, with very neat specs... you can check them out here:

https://www.cnet.com/products/dell-inspiron-15-5565-15-6-a12-9700p-12-gb-ram-1-tb-hdd-english/specs/

(sorry I did not copy the specs here, It takes forever to load the selection and to paste it... It can t even keep up to regular typing (sort of freezes) Anyway...

I recently moved from the U.S to Eastern Europe, and just a few days ago my laptop became insanely slow...

One day I came from work, powered it on and noticed it was VERY slow, so I thought maybe I had too much junk or maybe it could be a virus... then decided to backup my documents in a separate drive, and Reset the computer (the operating system had to be re-installed and all).

Still, same problem (or maybe it has gotten worse). It take about 15 to 20 minutes powering up (loading desktop and elements), It cant even keep up to simple typing or selecting objects with the mouse. when I click any icon, takes about 10 seconds to respond (with no program running)
And also, I I hear some sort of mechanical cricket-like sound, coming from within the machine. Please help... at least to have an idea of what it could be...
