Why is Rhas Al Ghuls daughter called Nyssa instead of Talia in arrow?

Talia al Ghul vs Sin (Red Skull's daughter)?

Talia al Ghul would win. Sin is no match for Talia al Ghul's skills and Talia would kick Sin's *** easily.

In my view, Arrow and dark night trilogy is not canon to each other. Both Ra's Al Ghul belong to different universe and there is no Merlyn or Arrow in The Dark knight trilogy and neither did batman exists in Arrow universe . Batman killed him in his dark knight trilogy having his different character and Oliver killed him in his another plot having different roleplay.Ra's al Ghul is a Batman villain created in 1971. He has spanned multiple titles, and media. He's been killed, and resurrected multiple times (Lazarus Pit or otherwise). The Ra's al Ghul in the Nolan Batman Trilogy, like in the comics, is a person, not a title/mantle. The Ra's al Ghul in Arrow is simply the title of the leader of the League of Assasins. Neither universe overlaps, so neither "killed" him first. There is no connection between them.In Batman begins, bruce wayne killed him. Remember the last scene what he said? Batman says,, "'I won't kill you, but I don't have to save you," then leaves Ras knowing the odds of Ras surviving the crash is very slim. So he knew that he was not going to make it, and this is kinda like him killing....sort of?And In Season 3 finale of ARROW, oliver killed ra’s al ghul.Rather than these Batman defeated Ra’s al ghul in various series like BATMAN: DEATH AND THE MAIDEN and RESSURECTION OF RA’S AL GHULIn addition to these stuffs, i would like to add that DEATHSTROKE also killed Ra’s al ghul in SON OF BATMAN for not choosing him his successor. Therefore, we cant say it that either of them killed him first. We cant mish-mash Ra’s al ghul’s character in both the different series. He was a different character in The Dark knight and has a different role in Arrow.

For Talia, you’d need an actress who is “dangerously beautiful”. The daughter of Ra’s Al Ghul and one of Batman’s most infamous lovers, Talia cannot be portrayed by a demure actress. She is a brilliant academic holding multiple advanced degrees, and is an incredibly deadly weapons and hand to hand combat expert. An actress portraying her would have to be able to convincingly pull off fight scenes.I think Sofia Boutella (Kingsman, The Mummy) and Hannah John-Kamen (Antman and the Wasp, Ready Player One) would both make great casting choices. They’ve both acted in large movies before (so studios are not banking on unknowns) and they both have experience in demanding action roles.Sofia BoutellaHannah John-Kamen

Which Talia al Ghul cosplay is more recognizable?

Going to NY Comic Con this Sunday and I'd like to be Talia al Ghul (She's from the Batman mythos, so I'd really appreciate another huge Batman and DC fan's opinion on this)

I've seen almost every episode of the Batman animated series and Batman Beyond, and so I'd like to do this outfit since I have all of it in my closet. It's also worn by her in a couple episodes:

Ending of the episode Avatar also using this outfit

However, I know that her black suit with a sword may be more recognizable and is often cosplayed.

I'm leaning toward the first option since it's not often done and is a nice low-key, comfortable cosplay for a Sunday.

I'd appreciate any tips, suggestions, or ideas! Thanks so much!

Personally, I’m going to say Catwoman. She has been Batman’s primary Femme Fatale/Love Interest since almost the beginning of Batman’s existence, 1940, to be exact. Talia al Ghul, on the other hand, only became such in 1971, some 31 years later.I maintain that “the original is usually better” and in this case it holds true. Plus, Catwoman is a much more likeable and relatable character. That’s just my opinion though.

I’m assuming when you mean “Batman” you mean from the comics, not the “Dark Knight” series.Ra’s Al Ghul from Arrow is based off of Ra’s Al Ghul from the comics.Similarities:Both have access to a Lazarus Pit.Both wanted to use a bioweapon to wipe out a city. Both have a daughter named Nyssa. Both have a daughter named Talia. Both have sought a vigilante to take their place. Both had one of their vigilante’s villains as another potential heir. Both have wanted their respected vigilantes to marry a daughter of theirs. Both are well versed in combat and Martial Arts. Both attempted to clean up a place using toxin.Differences:Comics Ra’s Al Ghul has many pits.In the comics, Nyssa is the older sister. However, in Arrow-verse, Talia was a child in the 1950s, while Nyssa is in present day, making Talia older.Arrow Ra’s wants Oliver, as he survived Ra’s sword. Comics Ra’s has interested in Batman, although there is some potential to Bane, who beat Ra’s in a chess game once.Comics Ra’s wanted Batman to marry Talia, and they do have a child together, but not by Batman’s choice. Arrow Ra’s, however, forced Talia to marry Oliver. While Oliver still is allowed to date and marry anyone he wants to, (I don’t think the marriage counts outside of Nanda Parbat, hence getting engaged to Felicity), Nyssa still refers to Oliver as “husband.”Comics Ra’s has someone to bring him back to the pit. Arrow Ra’s didn’t have that luxury.

In the comics, I believe Ra’s Al Ghul is a name which makes more sense given his daughters Talia and Nyssa take the family name Al Ghul. In the TV show, it is a title. The reason I think they did it was in order to boost Oliver’s character and show that he is in the same playing field as Ra’s who is a Batman character. Also Arrow has always been upfront about the fact that Oliver is equivalent to Batman in terms of skill in this universe (until perhaps an appearance from Batman). From the shows point of view, Oliver fit the criteria for a prophecy:“The man who doesn't perish at the blade of Ra'a al Ghul will become Ra's al Ghul”Oliver was stabbed through his chest and pushed off a cliff in a freezing climate and yet still survived and given Ra’s was on his last legs he probably deemed that Oliver would be a worth successor and would only improve with time. He did after all best Nyssa once or twice and a lot of other League fighters.

His origin from Wikipedia seems to suggest the title is his name. As mentioned below:He is the son of Sensei, the father of Talia al Ghul, Nyssa Raatko, and Dusan al Ghul, and the maternal grandfather of Damian Wayne. So for sure at minimum we can assume Al Ghul was a name passed on since some of his kids have that name. And being around that long he probably changed it a few times cause he's bored of living a single person's life for 600 years. Rest of Wikipedia description below:Ra's al Ghul (Arabic: رأس الغول‎‎ Raʾs al-Ġūl; "Ghoul's Head" or "Demon's Head") is a fictional supervillain appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics, commonly as an adversary of the superhero Batman. Created by editor Julius Schwartz, writer Dennis O'Neil and artist Neal Adams, the character first appeared in Batman #232's "Daughter of the Demon" (June 1971).[3] The character is one of Batman's most enduring enemies and belongs to the collective of adversaries that make up Batman's rogues gallery, though given his high status as a supervillain, he has also come into conflict with Superman and other superheroes in the DC Universe. Most notable as the leader of the League of Assassins, Ra's al Ghul's name in Arabic translates to "The Demon's Head".[4][5] He is the son of Sensei, the father of Talia al Ghul, Nyssa Raatko, and Dusan al Ghul, and the maternal grandfather of Damian Wayne. Stories featuring Ra's al Ghul often involve the Lazarus Pits, which restore life to the dying. The Lazarus Pits have kept Ra's alive for centuries, making him particularly dangerous as he has honed his combat skills for a millennium.
