Why Is The Right So Upset Over A Pride Burger

Why is it socially acceptable for Burger King to have gay pride wrappers on its burgers, but not acceptable for Chick-fil-A to be an openly Christian business?

Because the prevailing world view of intellectuals in the Anglo world is very far from being tolerant, the talk about the need for tolerance not withstanding. The owners of chick-Fil-a have a sincerely held view of the nature of marriage that also happens to be the view held throughout human history over many thousands of years, and continues to be the view held in many countries today.   It is hateful to suggest their desire is to restrict the civil rights of gays, because that isn't their own conceptualisation of the reasons for holding their views, and there are respectable philosophical arguments for the idea that marriage is by its nature between a man and a woman.  The fact that few people here will agree about this simply demonstrates Haidt's finding that whilst conservatives understand and can articulate liberal arguments, liberals cannot articulate the conservative position. The whole question of gay marriage is of course an utter irrelevance affecting rather few individuals on the one hand, and on the other hand being ranking as roughly issue number 497 on pressing matters on the thoughtful conservative agenda. So I see the heat over this as a reflection in the decline in calibre of public intellectuals, of journalists, and of civility.   You may not agree with your opponent, but if you are part of the same nation, it doesn't do any good to be so harsh - much better to see what in their argument might be well intentioned even if you suspect it is not.  Beyond being unhelpful in governing a nation, this intolerance for difference in perspective is just plain wrong.

In N Out VS What a Burger!?

In-n-Out Burger is California's Pride and What a Burger is Texas's but in my own opinion after eating at both I think In-N-Out is 10 times better and would like to know everyone's opinion on this.

In-N-Out Burger (I've never been there before)?

I've never been to an In-N-Out before, but I'm moving to the West Coast soon, and a guy asked me to just buy him some In-N-Out sometime (to pay him back for something).

I was wondering:

1. Why is it called In-N-Out? Fairly quick? Is there indoor seating? Do employees walk up to your car windows? Is there a drive-thru? Haha how does it work?

2. Is the menu fairly small and simple? Except for the so-called "Secret Menu"?

3. What are the prices like, approximately?

4. Do you like In-N-Out?

What makes In-N-Out Burger so successful?

Simplified, I would say:Not willing to compromise on quality (e.g., never frozen)Treating employees wellThere was a recently published book about the history of the In-N-Out if you are more interested (http://www.amazon.com/N-Out-Burg...)Five Guys seems to be similar in those regards as well.

What is the worst fast food chain burger?

Jack in the Box is the worst fast food chain.Sometimes I think they take pride in being the leaders in the race to the bottom in quality food. They often have really good ideas, but execute poorly because they use poor quality ingredients.A year or so ago they launched a bunch of items in their Brunchfast menu. The chicken bacon and egg sandwich is a standout. It’s an English Muffin with a fried chicken breast, American cheese, a fried egg, bacon and bacon flavored mayo in between. I’ve had one, or three, of these things and they should be delicious. The flavors work well together but it falls on its face because of lousy ingredients. They can’t execute the muffin for crap, it’s always dry and crumbly, the breading on the chicken is too crumbly and the eggs are cooked on a flat top grill. Normally there isn't anything wrong with cooking eggs on a flat top grill, but this is Jack in the Box.Another example of a good idea gone wrong was their food truck inspired sandwich menu. They created three sandwiches, a prime rib cheesesteak, a pork belly blt, and a crispy chicken banh mi.If the sandwich that you got actually looked like the ones in the picture, Jack in the Box would be ruling the fast food world right now. But they didn’t, not even close. I tried all three sandwiches, even after being thoroughly disappointed by the first one, the Prime Rib Cheesesteak. I can’t say for certain that the beef they were using was actually prime rib, you only got a few slivers, some pathetically overcooked peppers and onions and melted white cheddar cheese. The BLT and banh mi were equally miserable. Both of them used stand alone ingredients that got served past their peak of freshness. Their choice of bread was also poor. Those nice looking rolls weren't anything to get excited about. The Food Truck menu vanished soon after it appeared.I won’t spend any more time picking apart the rest of their menu. It’s not really bad for what it is, the worst fast food on the market. Their jalapeño poppers, tacos, and egg rolls are surprisingly good for being absolute pieces of crap.

Do you have to ask Burger King to flame broil your Whopper?

No, they're all sent through the broiler first. (Which at our store, really does have flames shoot out the top of it). Then they're held in a heating unit for a short amount of time until it's ordered or tossed. When ordered, if it gets microwaved, it's usually just to melt the cheese. You can request to NOT have it microwaved, but you'll end up with a luke warm burger with cold cheese.

How to deal with rude customers at burger king?
