Why Is The Right Wing Mindset Regarding President Obama

Why do people love President Obama?

From an outsider's (I like in the UK) point of view there are a few reasons why people love him:Firstly, is that he is a phenomenal orator. His speaking really does inspire and encourage, in the UK especially this is an important thing because compared to everyone in mainstream politics Obama just blows them out of the water. Even though it been a long time since his original presidential campaign and the initial glow has worn off, its still impressive to hear him speak.Secondly, compared to the Republicans he seems to be far more level headed and 'correct' on most matters. A combination of the bad, unintelligent view of Bush jr and the Tea Party crazies, the Obama administration seems like a far better option. In the UK, however, it has to be noted that the left wing party is called Labour and the right wing party is called the Conservatives, yet the Democratic party is far more naturally aligned to the Conservatives than Labour. The Republicans are much further right wing than anything that we're used to in the UK.And thirdly, he just seems like a completely awesome guy. You just want to hang out with him, I mean he has Jay-Z's phone number! His social media campaign has worked very well for him; whether it being the former most re-tweeted picture in the world, hanging out with celebrities or fist-bumping a White House cleaner.Having saying all this, being a UK citizen his policies and the subsequent consequences don't really affect me, so I'm less likely to view him negatively because of his actual performance.

How did the rumor that President Obama banned saying Merry Christmas get started, and why don't facts stop the spread of the rumor?

It was started by some of the bigoted Anti-Obama forces taking something he may have said out of context. It was one of the many “dirty tricks” that Obama was subjected to and is a typical trick of the Republican Party in an attempt to degrade the image of the person. They were very successful in this effort with the things they said about Hillary Clinton and have tried, though not too successfully, against Nancy Pelosi. When people are of a given mindset they tend to believe anything that tends to reinforce what they have been thinking. It seems they, the Republicans, feel that it is okay for them to say whatever they want to say but if you come out with something against any of their people they will jump all over you. Recently I was asked a question about Trump (whom I despise with every fiber of my being) and I commented on an old bit of information where he, Trump, had been charged with raping a 13-year old girl at one time. In his comment to me boy did he rip me for falling for every negative thing about Trump, that it wasn’t true what I wrote and so forth. I simply pointed him to a Snopes article which went into some depth into that issue and finished by saying she withdrew the charges because of threats against her. I then blocked that member of the Trump Legion. It is similar to Trump making a big issue out of the “birtherism issue” of Obama. There are still people that question where Obama was born.

Why did Obama HUSSEIN Obama say the American dream is to be like Trump? Is he correct?

I was watching Candace Owen's CPAC speech that she recently gave (fyi, I recommend you guys watch it), and Candace said that even Obama said the American dream is to be like Trump.

What would Ronald Reagan think of Barack Obama?

Reagan seemed to take a very simple-minded approach to everything, and most likely wouldn't have been terribly bothered by Obama, who is generally a centrist by American standards. I do think he'd find Obama to be rather doveish; Reagan was an old-school Cold Warrior with a tendency to use foreign policy as a blunt instrument, and as an 80s kid, I found the first Reagan administration to be an absolutely terrifying time to be an elementary school kid who occasionally watched the news. Obama's reaction to Putin's antics in Ukraine, on the other hand, has been largely a no-sell; Putin's trolling, and to the benefit of the nerves of virtually everyone on planet Earth, Obama ain't biting. One thing I find interesting and possibly relevant was Jack Kemp's opinion of Obama. Kemp endorsed McCain, but apparently was fine with Obama's win, and certainly didn't appreciate the right-wing media's pile-ons. I think that's indicative of the general neoconservative mindset -- many of them seem to have divorced their politics from their personal opinions. I suspect Reagan would probably like Obama on a personal level. I doubt they'd see eye-to-eye on a lot of policies though.

What do we do about conspiratorialist global warming deniers?

The internet does allow people who would otherwise be isolated individuals, to group together and be among their own kind. That's the reason I believe there is an atheist movement gaining strength in society all over the world. But in that case, reality is the fringe and the delusion of religion is predominant, at least in America.

I think the side with the truth on it, tends to win out in the long run. The problem here is that the side that produces all the delusions is the side with the money, and they have bought an entire political party. Most of the world sees the American right as a circus side show, so score one for reality, but that doesn't help those who live in America, and does even less for those who like America and want to see it succeed.

The entire republican party has gone done lost their minds. They are willfully ignorant, hear no evil see no evil, only "evil" is actually truth, which makes sense because the bible tells us that truth is evil, you know, the forbidden fruit malarkey.

So the only solution I can think of is to pour money into it, and buy some advertising and some legislators in Washington, like the other side does. But if you have the money to pour into it you probably take the side that protects your interests as a rich person.

I think America is just broken, and there's no way we will be able to take a leading roll in fighting AGW. Maybe if some other countries go first, the truth will have a little more power.
