My laptop's battery drains even when it is in sleep mode. Is it a hardware problem or a software problem?
First of all make sure your laptop is actually in sleep mode. Many times what happens is that the hinge of the laptop has some problem in it which doesn't let the laptop to go into the sleep mode so you're laptop is running without you knowing since you closed the lid believing it is in sleep mode. One way to check it is the power LED usually given on the sides of laptops which starts to blink if your laptop is in sleep mode.If that's not the problem then try putting your computer into hibernate mode whenever you close the lid. That'll take like 5–10 secs more for you laptop to open once you open the lid but it I'll save your work and the battery. This the best option I think or else you'll have to spend money on your laptop for such a small issue which doesn't makes sense at all.
Is it bad to charge your laptop while it's on sleep mode?
I would recommend fully charging your computer, then letting the battery run down to at least 10 percent, it will lengthen the lifespan of your computer battery, whether its a new or old laptop. But leaving it constantly plugged in may over heat your computer and constantly require electricity, most modern laptops will turn a lot of the components off in sleep mode, reducing the heat. so my answer is: if you have a newer laptop (Within 4 or 5 years), then no, its probably fine, if you don't mind a slight increase in your electric bill. if you have a really old computer, then i would just let it run down and then charge it fully when its dead. rather than having it constantly plugged in.
Is putting my laptop in sleep mode bad?
so, I kind of turned my laptop into a pc by always putting it on my desk and never bringing it anywhere, so it constantly has the charger in it, so the battery never goes down, since I am an impatient person, I always put my computer on sleep, is this bad? I never shut it down.
How to get back in the school sleep mode?
get an over the counter sleep aid TAKE ONLY AS DIRECTED. but take it as you are laying down in bed. and go to bed atleast 9-10 hours before you have to get up. the package may say 8 but i'm tellin ya if its your first time using it you wont wanna get up in only 8 hours.also tv is bad... while you are asleep the lights wake you up even if you dont remember it. if you need a little light (this may sound kiddish) but get a night light. if you need the sound get a white noise radio. it really helps and they have sounds from birds and wind to rain and static they are pretty awesome good luck and good night
Do I have to charge my NEW laptop battery longer?
Your new laptop battery comes in a discharged condition and must be charged before use (refer to your computer manual for charging instructions). Upon initial use (or after a prolonged storage period) the battery may require two to three charge/discharge cycles before achieving maximum capacity. When charging a laptop battery replacement for the first time your computer may indicate that charging is complete after just 10 or 15 minutes. This is a normal phenomenon with rechargeable batteries. Simply remove the battery from the computer and repeat the charging procedure. It is important to condition (fully discharge and then fully charge) replacement laptop battery every two to three weeks. Failure to do so may significantly shorten the battery's life (this does not apply to Li-ion batteries, which do not require conditioning). To discharge, simply run your device under the battery's power until it shuts down or until you get a low battery warning. Then recharge the battery as instructed in your user's manual. If replacement laptop battery will not be in use for a month or longer, it is recommended that it be removed from the device and stored in a cool, dry, clean place.
