New dell inspiron 5520 laptop running very slow....?
i bought dell inspiron 15r 5520 few days back.....and it was very slow....in all respects....windows 7 booting time is very large....i was reinstall windows 7 which is also the reinstallation is very slow....in fact my laptop is running very slow...........i was update the bios A11 again the issue still stand.....windows reinstallation does not solve the issue again it will booting slow even after fresh installation....my laptop running slow compare to other dell laptops with same processor core i5 3210M.....my friend's dell inspiron 15r 3550 was much faster with my laptop..... please help me
My Dell Inspiron 1721 laptop is running slow, and Ihave been unable to even come to a conclusio as to why this?
I have a Dell Inspiron 1721 Laptop that I got around two years ago. It was always a good laptop. Reliable, and most importantly, fast. But recently it has been so slow loading the internet, and Facebook Applications such as Farmville. Other strange things include constant not responding whenever I click on a page, and a slow delay after I start typing on the keyboard. I have taken it to two different computer stores, one replaced my hard drive completely, but it didn't work! So I took it to another local place. They took out everything as well and put windows 7 in. Guess what! It still doesn't work right. As you may have guessed, I am very frustrated with this situation and I am ready to give up. So, here comes my question: Does anyone have a solution, or ideas to get my computer to go fast again! ALSO: Other than the fact that it loads slow, my laptop is in great condition. Absolutely NO scratches,nothing. I also do a great job keeping it from overheating. Will someone PLEASE help me? -Ev

There are MANY reasons for computer slow downs: not enough memory too many programs starting up with windows at boot up time too many junk files too many restore points Clean windows registry can speed up the computer. Over time, you install new programs, uninstalled unimportant programs, update software's, install new devices, download files from the web, etcetera, hence embarking all records in the registry system. This is normal, but it is not wise to leave it untouched. Once in a while, you have to check and remove files that are no longer in use to maintain the speed of your PC. Why is my laptop slow?
There are some excellent suggestions here, so I thought why not give my two cents on the matter too.Step 1: Right-click on your taskbar.Step 2: Click on “Task Manager”Step 3: Click on the “Processes” Tab in the Task manager windowYou now have complete information of what is going on in your system right in front of your eyes. Foreground, and Background as well. Pay attention to the three columns: CPU, Memory, and Disk.When in Idle state, your CPU should be at around <10%, and Disk at <5% usage. Memory usage heavily depends on how much total you have in the first place. Right at this moment, My laptop that i’m using to write this answer, has a total of 4GB of DDR3L which is currently 80% occupied as I have 3 chrome tabs running and a file explorer window along with some background apps.Also, It is advised to check to make sure your “Power Plan” setting is set to “High Performance” (This setting is available in the control panel > Hardware and Sound > Power Options ) since that can also slow down your laptop.
Dell Inspiron N4110 running slow?
Hey ive got a Dell Inspiron N4110 and its been rrunning a bit slower than usual the past few days i have noticed, it runs on intel core i3. I use this laptop for gaming, the games i have are: Minecraft, Runescape, League of Legends, and i just downloaded DC Universe and APB Reloaded off Steam last night. I also use if for surfing the web a abit, and sometimes to watch porn (what do you expect, boy going through puberty) which is what i think is partly slowing it down a bit. My Hardrive is no where near full, 483gb free of 596gb, so alot of free space. And i have 4gb Ram. If there is many more information that you need tell me, and i will add to the more info. If there is anything i can download to clean up my Laptop please tell me, thanks
