Why Was Trayvon Suspended From School The Night He Attacked George

Facts about the George Zimmerman/Trayvon Martin case?

My Background 10 year Police officer.

Their was an eye witness who watch the whole ordeal go down. He stated to the law enforcement that he witness Zimmerman in red getting pounded on my Martin on the ground screaming "help me!" repeatedly. The witness also took the initiative to yell "stop it and get off of him!". Moments later Zimmerman pulled out his weapon and fired while laying on the ground. Zimmerman was told by 911 operator not to pursue the suspect. Keep in mind 911 operators are not Peace Officers nor do they have any right or authority to tell you or recommend you from doing anything. The liability that comes with what they say can ruin their career. For instance: if someone is trying to into your house and the dispatcher said to hide in your closet and don't grab any weapon because it might escalate the situation with the intruder. Would you listen to those instructions? Shooting justified.

Zimmerman is a proactive elected neighborhood watch member to over see his community. Keep in mind people the D.O.J. allows community to Police themselves under the Community Oriented Policing (C.O.P.) policy. Deadly Force is authorize for everyone in this country to prevent Severe bodily harm, death, or death of others in the U.S. Period. It does not take much hitting for a 6'2" weighing 175lbs young man to give you a concussion or brain hemorrhage or even kill you with his hands. Zimmerman had a firearm, if he felt that young Martin was going to receive the upper hand if he gets to his gun then lethal force is also authorize in this situations under the circumstances to protect his life and a life of others. I've seen too many kids in my time get caught carrying a stolen firearm to commit their crimes. If a young kid like Martin tried reaching for my firearm in a physical fight I would have done the same thing to keep my weapon from getting into the wrong hands.

Profile:
Trayvon Martin was 6'2" football player in his prime, with a violent past at his school.

Zimmerman was 5'9" overweight and not in physically fit condition

Why is this Trayvon Martin thing such a big deal, I don't get it?

People die everyday. This shouldn't have escalated this far. The only factors that fed this whole mess is because of three things:
1. Victim was a minor.
Children die. Whether it happens in murder or by cancer, or any other reason for that matter; it happens. Accept it, bad things like this happen.

2. Race.
People say if the races were reversed, Zimmerman would have gone to jail.
This is an inference made upon fallacious standings. The verdict was based upon a jury. The prosecution made a better case, they won. Nothing to do with race. If anything, black(or if you're really racy and rather spend an extra 1.5 seconds to say African-American, there you go) supporters for Trayvon were the ones who brought up the whole race issue in the first place.

3. Media.
They over-exaggerate everything and give you false information everyday. This itself, is rather self-explanatory.

All in all, people fail to accept the world as it is. So one boy doesn't get to live his life. There's billions of people. Third world countries have starving children on the brink of death, power-abusive dictators, militia-based brutality governments who terrorize thousands. There are much worse things. People just turned this into a giant snowball that eventually caused these outrageous reactions. Shows you how gullible people can be without realizing the bigger picture.

Trayvon Martin suspended 3 times for 'drugs, truancy, graffiti, burglary tools and attacking bus driver?

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2120504/Trayvon-Martin-case-He-suspended-times-caught-burglary-tool.html

Doesn't this support Zimmerman's claim that it was self defense. Could it be that Trayvon was trying to break into people's homes that night?

The Trayvon Martin and your thoughts?

It seems to me that, they are trying to prove that Trayvon Martin is a bad kid. Bring up times that he was suspended and accusing him of being a drug dealer. Trayvon Martin may not have been an angel but he didn’t deserve to die either. The media has gone though his twitter and facebook page to dig up pictures of him. That’s not really a big deal; I wanted to see recent pictures of him too. The fact that he was suspended, that his twitter used the N word, that he took pictures with his middle finger up are all relevant information, but it’s not enough to say that he was a bad person. Lots of people portray their selves different online. The kid was probably going through a phrase. What 17 year old is perfect? I was suspended from school at one point in my life as well, now I’m a senior in college. The point is the information that is being put out is out of control. The stories keep changing. All I do know is, Zimmerman said a racist slur, he called the kid a F’ing coon. Zimmerman followed the kid. If someone was following you, wouldn’t you get scared and run? I would. On the 911 calls, someone was screaming for help. I’m sure Trayvon fought Zimmerman, however, if Trayvon was that much of a threat why was he screaming for help?

What do you guys think? I think the whole thing is out of control.

Was Trayvon Martin on his way home, minding his own business when he was shot?

C'mon he was a 17 year-old athlete that just got suspended from school and his mom sent him 5 hours away from his friends and his dad was so disappointed in him that his dad sent him to his dad's girlfriend's house. He felt cooped up and trapped so he had to get out, even though there was one of Florida's famous lightning storms brewing over his head. He brought his slim jim with him and decided he was going to take something back. He went to the store to load up on sugar, came back to the neighborhood went near the house to get out of the rain so he could light his joint, smoked a bit, got paranoid from it and decided he was going to take out his frustration on the first person that looked at him funny. Saw someone that was looking at him funny, called his friend because he felt lonely and was high. Talked about the creepy guy and how he could impress his girl about how tough he was. Turns out, that person was someone interested in keeping his neighborhood safe and was tired of the break-ins and the cops slow responses to crime. Trayvon knew George was on the phone reporting his suspicious activities, he ran and hid, put his slim jim in the bushes and waited for the best opportunity. As George walked past the bushes on his way back to the car, Trayvon jumped him from behind and decided to exact his revenge. George screamed for help. Trayvon was on top of him and threatened George telling him he was going to die tonight, reached for George's weapon, when it came out of the holster the barrel was facing Trayvon. George screamed for help again, and pulled the trigger knowing the gun was facing Trayvon hoping to hit him anywhere. The bullet hit Trayvon in the heart.

The cops were right the first time, the political charged trial ensued, the jurors came to the same conclusion as the police. "His own business" was that he was a troubled teen that let down his friends and family. None of his friends would even testify for him, except the one that the courts forced to be there as a material witness through a subpoena. She was likely the only friend he could reach on the phone that night because of her low self-esteem, nobody else wanted to talk to him cause they were too busy looking around for their watches and other jewelry that disappeared shortly before he did...and probably watching the Miami Heat game.

I'm sure if I'm leaving something out, I will hear about it.

Why is everyone trying to portray Trayvon Martin as a gangbanger criminal?

He attacked Zimmerman, doesn't matter if he was chased or provoked, the law says "stand your ground". That means.....like it or not.....that whomever has the bigger gun or a gun wins. Doesn't matter who starts the fight. Crazy isn't it??? It must be like the old wild west down in Florida.

Why do people think George Zimmerman guilty?

I haven't been following the trial super closely but I know the basics of it and that he was found not guilty. The media has been declaring him guilty since I've turned on the TV/media sites, yet I have not heard why.

From what I have gathered he was on neighborhood watch when he saw Martin, ended up following him, Martin then attacked Zimmerman, so Zimmerman shot him. I get why that might spook Martin being followed but I don't see why that gave him the right to attack Zimmerman and throw the first punch, forcing Zimmerman to defend himself?

Like I said I don't know all the details so that could be off, but from that viewpoint I feel Zimmerman didn't commit a crime. What am I missing here, what's the argument that he is guilty? I truly don't think race had anything to do with it (if anything Martin called Zimmerman the cracka).
