Why When I Eat And Drink Sierra Mist I Throw It Back Up

Why does drinking Sprite help when you're sick?

From my experience, I don’t think soda works best for me. For one, it has way too many sugars in it, and it makes me feel bloated. I also learned that ginger ale actually does NOT have any real ginger, so it honestly makes no sense to drink soda, unless for the carbonation or to ease nausea.Eating is obviously ruled out because of the lack of appetite while ill, so I believe the best solutions are natural remedies for sickness, for instance, ginger or spearmint caffeine free tea. If you’re under the weather, it’s best to get fever grass (wheat grass) leaves, two cloves of garlic, and ginger or spearmint caffeine free tag bag. You can also add a pinch of cayenne pepper, since pepper helps with congestion and knocking out fevers.Bring the water to boil, and place all the above in the water. Let it boil for 7 to 12 minutes, and then pour the tea in a cup. Wait another 5 to 10 minutes (covered) for the remedy to be absorbed, and drink the tea every 2 to 3 hours. Do not add any sugar: so no honey, brown sugar, or sweeteners. Your home will smell of strong garlic, and that could possibly help with any congestion you may have. And of course, drink room temperature water, crackers for energy and saltiness, and lots of rest. Stay away from any mucus (phlegm) building foods like dairy and sugar. Absolutely no cold foods or drinks as it can irritate the throat! If your stomach feels uncomfortable, like gas is trapped, the tea can help. In addition, massaging your stomach, especially the lower abdomen, can help bowel movements, which can help with passing of gas as well. Putting your knees to your chest and pressing down can also apply pressure on the stomach, forcing the gas to come out. And burping helps too.But of course, this may not work for you , but I hope this helps. This is from my experience, and from back home (Jamaica) knowledge of trying to rid of illness. But modern medicine is fine, or even just sticking out the cold until you feel better is okay as well. As long as you’re getting enough rest to fight the illness and drinking room temperature water, you should be fine, unless symptoms persist longer than it should without any sort of recovery. That’s when it’s time to visit your primary care.

What happens when I drink a soda while eating a banana?

What happens when I drink a soda while eating a banana? You get a lot of sugar calories and some potassium. Chew some sugar free gum afterwards to protect your teeth and go run around the block so you burn those calories.and/orYou get stared at funny since pouring fluid into your mouth at the same time as stuffing food in is a little odd. I am picturing it right now. Head tilted back. Mouth agape. Pouring the soda in one side, while shoving the banana in the other. Disturbing really. if you had an eating disorder, this would definitely be an EDB. You are going to make a mess doing this. Just make sure to have plenty of paper towels nearby.

How long after throwing up can you eat?

I would advise you to take today slow, and then tomorrow eat if you feel better. Your immune system is probably still weak, so I would stay on crackers/soup/and sprite. Try not to drink water, as it isn't the best thing for your stomach. Try to drink a soda such as Sprite. Also, never drink milk after you have thrown up. Try to stay away from whole foods, and just eat soup/and crackers. If you don't throw up today, then start eating more tomorrow. Hope you feel better girl, I hating being sick :(

What do you drink when you have food poisoning?

I have been up all night throwing up. Every time I tried to drink something I would throw it up a few minutes later. I read to drink water in small sips which I did and I still threw up. I actually feel a lot better, just not when I try and drink something. I think because there is nothing in my stomach, I have thrown it all up.

What's the worst that can happen from eating bananas and drinking Sprite in one sitting?

The combination of the protein and  the carbon dioxide causes foaming and the foam has only one way out of your stomach - the way it came in. "The banana supplies the protein and the cold soft drink adds a lot of carbon dioxide to your stomach. Your stomach is quite warm - much warmer than the soda - which means the carbon dioxide becomes less soluble at the higher temperature and gas bubbles are making a very fast escape from the liquid. The banana protein coats the CO2 bubbles and makes a very stable, expanding foam in your stomach. The creation of the foam means you can't just burp to get rid of the CO2 in your stomach, but it has to get out somehow because your stomach is only so large... So an escape is made using its only available exit." http://www.madsci.org/posts/arch...

Why do you puke after eating bananas and drinking sprite?

I don't think there's a chemical reaction between the banana and Sprite like there is with Coke and Menthos. It's more like you just forced more food and liquid into your stomach at one time than it was designed to hold so your body is going to try to empty it out.

Your stomach is really only big enough to hold two cups of food or liquid. Beyond that your stomach has to stretch to accomodate what you are putting in it.

In the banana/Sprite challenge you are supposed to eat two bananas and quickly follow that with two cans or bottles of Sprite. The two bananas alone come close to two cups but then you quickly drink two to four cups of Sprite behind it. Plus the Sprite is full of gas and that gas gets released into your stomach along with the bananas and unless you are able to burp the gas out it is going to force it's way out of your stomach and take some banana with it.

What causes you to throw up everytime you eat?

A possible cause, could be the digestive tract and/or stomach may have some infection or ailment and when food comes in contact with the tract or stomach, the body rejects the food from being processed/passed, causing vomiting.

Just had all four wisdom teeth removed; am throwing up?

hydrocodone is an opioid/narcotic. you may be nauseous from this. if you were given a general anesthesia, nausea could also be a side effect from that. taking the hydrocodone after eating may lessen the nausea. taking it on an empty stomach will likely make it worse. after general anesthesia, you should start off eating pretty bland foods, like liquids, saltines, chicken noodle soup, rice, applesauce, and jello to avoid throwing up. after you are feeling better, move on to more complex foods. people have different reactions to anesthesia, and not all people experience nausea afterward. drinking any of these: sprite, 7-up, sierra mist or ginger ale helped with my stomach upset. most dentists recommend flat soda, but whatever your stomach tolerates. water is good to keep you hydrated. if that makes it worse, have frequent, small sips of water.

it is up to you if you want to stop taking the hydrocodone. how bad is your pain? do you have a higher pain tolerance? definitely take the methylprenisolone. both of these meds can cause dizziness, just so you are aware. you may be able to tolerate the pain with out the pain med. if you do take it, be cautious of your tylenol intake, if you are taking separate tylenol. you should only have between 2000-4000mg of tylenol per 24 hours, otherwise it negatively effects the liver.

if you are still bleeding, try spitting out the blood instead of swallowing it. when i had my wisdom teeth out, swallowing the blood make the nausea so much worse. my surgery was pretty involved and i was unconscious when i swallowed it, but still.

if you need the pain med and the nausea is not getting better, you may want to contact your oral surgeon and ask for an anti-emetic.

Why does drinking Sprite/7-Up reduce nausea?

Why does drinking Sprite/7-Up reduce nausea?Gingerale is a better alternative than these because ginger is an effective anti-emetic.  Most carbonated beverages provide some relief because the carbonation can trigger belching, which can relieve nausea-inducing pressure in the stomach.
