Why Wii Remote Turns Off When Loading Gecko

Gecko OS 1.9 turns off Wiimote on Wii?

If you have a newer remote, it won't work with older apps.

I don't know if this is the case or not, but see if there is a more recent version of Gecko OS that will support your controller, or seek out an older non-motionPlus remote.

Wii remote keeps turning off?

The contacts in some of the battery packs are a little flaky, as soon as they momentarily lose contact the WiiMote will turn itself off. It's certainly fixable by changing to regular (or rechargeable batteries), and possibly by padding out the contacts between the battery pack and the Wii Mote itself.

Why wii remote turns off when loading gecko?

When trying to load Gecko os 1.9.2 the screen go's black and wii remotes turn off?

You have to download Gecko OS 1.9.3. Version 1.9.2 doesn't work with 4.2. Go and download Version 1.9.3 to have more compatibility.

My Wii remote keeps turning off and losing connection. Help please!?

It probably is out of batteries so replace those. If that doesn't work then re-sync but popping the little built-in-door thingy by the disc entry way. Then you take out back of the Wii-mote and press and hold the red button. Let go after about 5 seconds and then hold down the red button on the Wii for 5 seconds. The Wii-mote should be flashing and eventually stop and start working. Hope that helped!

Gecko OS wii works on GC Games?

I recently installed Homebrew on my Wii, and im thinking about installing Gecko OS, since i only have 5-6 Wii games and around 10-12 Gamecube games, i figured getting Gecko OS wouldn’t be much good to me if i could only hack a select few of my games… Bottom line is:

Can Gecko OS hack Gamecube games?

if not, is there a homebrew app that i CAN use?

Is there anyway in the world to use a motion plus on gecko os on my Special Edition Blue Wii Console 4.3U?

I think I've answered this once before: you have to find an older remote to be used with gecko.

Somewhere around 2010 or 2011, Nintendo started releasing new remotes that people call "TR" remotes, that are not recognized as remotes by homebrew apps that were not recompiled with the latest version of the devkit.

Initial motion plus remotes are not TR, but shortly afterwards, they started being TR, so it's possible he has a motion plus that works with it.

Getting an older remote is the only way to fix this, since gecko was not recompiled using the newer devkit to allow TR remotes.

There is nothing you can do to the remote to make it work. it's the software and its limitations as to which remotes will work.
