Why Would Somebody Choose To Get Their Dog Docked

So I Tried Cropping My Dogs Ears At Home And Now It Keeps Bleeding?

I told you for your last question that you should have had a vet do the cropping... NOW you know WHY!

If you have styptic powder (like a styptic pencil) you can try that. If it's a LARGE area bleeding, you should CALL YOUR LOCAL VET!

You didn't say what "this liquid" is, so I don't knnow if you got the right stuff to stop the bleeding. Gentle pressure with gauze pads may help slow the bleeding down. You really should call your local vet and talk to the vet on-call. You risk having your dog bleed to death by what you have done. It's not a quick and easy procedure that you can do and the jerks who gave these instructions online should be put into jail. -!-

What do cropping dog's ears mean exactly?

'Cropping' means cutting off part of the outer portion of a dog's ear so that it stands up. Dobermans and Great Danes, for example, have naturally drop or floppy ears, but are often seen in a cropped ear style.

It is required for some breeds if they are to be shown in AKC conformation, and it is acceptable or optional for other breeds. Cropping is banned in some places.

Some people crop their dogs because they prefer the appearance. Others do it to make their dogs look 'tough' or aggressive, for example, pitbulls.

Why do they cut Miniature pinscher tails off? It seems cruel to me and unnecessary to me.?

Standard calls for it on that breed as well as a few others. It was put there to help a dog do its job better and because most of the breeds that need it done have tails that are genetically weak and can suffer serious damage that could result in an amputation later on instead of a 3 second procedure as a 2 day old puppy.
If you dont like the procedure, if you have problems with any of it, choose another breed that does not require it. Hope I helped/

What do you think of these Australian Shepherd breeders?

I went through them all:

Roads End♥: Plain and simple, I don't like how they are built.
Come By♥: I like Fletch and Dyna, and Sargon. They look good all around, dogs are titled and shown.
Ellagant♥: Has some decent boys but the girls are, honestly.. hidious. Tiana should not be breeding o.o Her link wont work, but that first picture.. egh.
Rozate♥: I love Rozate The Serpents Lair. Love him,but a lot of their boys have "border collie" heads, i.e. too long. Their girls have it, too.
Jadziah♥: doesnt work for me...?
Elzsco♥t: FIrst glance, the aussies have tails. Count them out.
Brimfeldt♥: More tails!

Are tails accepted in conformation in Australia? Jesus.
Are you wanting a pet Aussie, or a Show Aussie? Either way, I find the tails to be a big turn off.

How old is that puppy in the picture? WHen my litter had their 2 week photoshoot, one of our girls had some weird eyes, they looked milky and glazed over, when the other pups had clear eyes. Now, they are perfectly clear and healthy just like the rest of the litter.

Just make sure you do your research on the breeder you choose. They should offer a 3 year guarentee at minimum (to gaurentee you against hip displaysia/crippling, eye defects etc) and their breeding stock should have working or show titles. If they dont, find another breeder; You seem to have a few options.

Starred for my Aussie Contacts.

edit:♥ Oh really now? Most of those breeders had docked Aussies o_O are they not all Australian Breeders?

edit two:♥ Roadsend did a merle/merle litter, I'd count them out for risking that.

edit three:♥ Aww, two thumbs down. Thanks!

Why does everyone have a HUGE problem with ear cropping??

Ear cropping is an elective surgical procedure for the canine companion.
Yes, it is cruel if Joe Shmo wants to do it on his kitchen cutting board at home, but if done under general anesthesia, with pain med injections prior to the procedure, oral
pain meds available to give post-op, and infection preventing antibiotics administered, it's not as barbaric as it seems. The above pain relief options are ROUTINE in veterinary medicine, and with proper after care and pain management, the dog never even knows what happened!! Some people should do their research before damning a medical procedure as cruel, inhumane, or unethical. I would truly like some feedback...why is ear cropping so taboo???Please don't tell me it's an unnessecary thing...I realize this. Some of these anti-croppers act like we tie the dog up in the back and shove bamboo shoots under their claws...just for kicks. If done right, it is a very aesthetically-pleasing look and is not painful, so why all the negative backlash?
