Wi-fi Connectivity Issues

55SL417U Toshiba WiFi connectivity issue?

I have wireless internet, in fact the laptop I'm typing this from is connected to my wireless internet, so I know it works. On my TV, when I go through the steps of manually connecting it to the internet, everything goes fine. I enter the network name correctly, and I enter the encryption key correctly. I have everything matched up, and when I hit OK, it says it is correct. But then, when I go to test the connection, it fails to find it. I tried before doing the easy setup using PBC, but it keeps telling me to push the appropriate button on my AP, and I have no idea what that means. I then tried the easy setup using a PIN, but I have no idea where I'm supposed to enter the PIN into. I'm usually pretty tech-savvy but this has me pulling my hair out.

tl;dr, how the heck do I connect my Toshiba TV to my wireless connection?

How do I resolve an Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS Wi-Fi connectivity issue?

In my experience, the problem is that most Wi-Fi dongles have drivers that haven’t been updated since at least 14.04. You’ll likely have to experiment with different brands until you find one that connects properly. I finally managed to get a consistently good connection with an EDUP dongle, and even then I had to go to their site, download and install a current driver file.

Are there any issues of wi fi connectivity with Sony Vaio laptops?

If your Sony Vaio Pro have Intel Wireless-N 7260 with dual band card, then here’s the solution:Go to Device Manager > Network Adapter > Select Your Wireless CardRight click on it and uninstall driver of it.Now relocate Wireless card in device manager, chance are you could find that in “Unknown Devices” and then right click and select “Update Driver” and let the Windows install the driver automatically. If issue still persists, then again select “Wireless Adapters” in device manager, right click and choose “Update Drivers” and select “Search from a list of Drivers in My Computer“.Can't copy paste full as it has some codes.. read full solution here: Fix Sony Vaio Pro Wifi Issues - Trouble Fixers

How do I resolve WI-FI connectivity issue in windows 8.1?

Sounds like either a hardware failing/failed, or a driver issue.  Easiest way to determine that is 1. Download the correct driver from manufacturer site, and install it or2. Remove it from the device manager in Windows, then reboot and let it re-install the driver it has.If neither one of those gets the adapter working, it's likely hardware failure. But even if that is true, it's not tragic. There are lots of cheap usb-wifi dongles out there these days, plug one in and you are back in business. Amazon.com: usb-wifi adapter

Wifi connected but no internet access. Also there is an exclamation mark on that triangle. How can I solve this?

May be you have to login to wifi so that you will get internet access. For example - if you are using ACT internetOnce you connect to wifi it will show you have internet but you cannot browse. For this you have to open browser goto http://portal.acttv.in and login with your userid and password . You may register if you are first time user.Once you login successfully you will be able to access all the sites. This is just an assumption , It may be a different issue as well. As I don't have much information abut your issue and the ISP provider.Image source - What is Your Internet Provider and Plan?

How can I fix a Wifi connectivity issue in Intel Edison?

Make sure you reboot your Edison with the Latest Firmware.Once done,Type “ifconfig” in your Edison and see whether wlan0 and usb0 are up and running. Then connect to the wifi network.Check for IP conflicts between usb0 and wlan0 using ifconfig command.I followed all the steps in the "Getting Started with Intel Edison" Guides found in many websites , but I just couldn't connect to the Device Information page from my browser.I also couldn't connect to my Intel Edison IP Address through SSH. But I could ping to it from my computer!!It would say "Connection Refused"Here is the solution for that:If you cannot ping to Edison from your computers of the same network,1) Try this,Edison - ssh connection refused2) If connection is slow , try turning of the Power Management option of the wlan0.Edison wifi delay and power saving3) Make sure there is no IP conflict between wlan0 and usb0Wifi connection times outFinally, if you are able to ping, and still not able to view the device information page in your Browser, try this:Note: Being able to ping to the Intel Edison suggests that there is no problem with your connection. So, we are going to try updating and restarting our Apache2 in Intel Edison.root@edison:~# echo src/gz all http://repo.opkg.net/edison/repo/all > /etc/opkg/base-feeds.confroot@edison:~# echo src/gz edison http://repo.opkg.net/edison/repo/edison >> /etc/opkg/base-feeds.confroot@edison:~# echo src/gz core2-32 http://repo.opkg.net/edison/repo/core2-32 >> /etc/opkg/base-feeds.confroot@edison:~# opkg updateroot@edison:~# opkg install apache2 If steps 04 and 05 take some time without showing any error, just wait and have a sip of coffee . It takes some time to download and install! . Unless it shows some error, you need not worry.root@edison:~# systemctl reenable apache2root@edison:~# systemctl restart apache2root@edison:~# reboot Don't forget thisAfter reboot, check weather Apache2 is Loaded, Enabled and Running in your Intel Edison.root@edison:~# systemctl status apache2After setting up your Wifi config again, try the IP address in your browser. Now, "It works!" will be displayed. For reference : webserver connection errorAnd you can successfully SSH into your Edison!!Hope this solves the Issue!
