Will A T Mobile Sim Card Work On A Factory Unlocked Iphone 4

What is a factory unlocked phone?

Hello, i have a really crap phone and i saw this cool phone on amazon and it said its "factory unlocked" i know that factory unlocked means that it doesnt have a provider/service. But i have At&t so can i just put my sim card in the phone and all things good?
--- yes

Or do i have to buy a no contract phone by At&t.
------ your choice

Also does the factory unlocked phone have to say At&t?
----- no

------------ Locked phones are most prevalent. Also called Contract phones… they are locked—meaning they only work with the sim card made by that Carrier… ATT phones with ATT sim cards, Tmobile phones with TMobile sim cards.. etc etc etc

------------ Regular unlocked phones are locked that were unlocked by 1) the wireless carrier cause your contract was over and up… or 2) you hacked it….. with unlocked phones, any sim card on planet Earth will work in the phone…. Mix carrier branded phones with other branded sim cards…. ATT phones with tmobile Sims… Tmobile phones on Straight talk….

-----------Factory unlocked……. This means the phone was never never NEVER EVER locked! The factory, also called the manufacturer (Samsung, LG, Motorola, HTC, ZTE, Hauewi, SONY, etc), sells the phone itself, rather than giving it to a wireless carrier for them to brand and sell….. Factory ubnlocked phones are just like regular unlocked phones… works on any sim card….. these are also the most prized, popular, and pricy….

Can AT&T blacklist factory unlocked iphone?

ummm.. no.... lmao!

They will blacklist you if you decide to get 2-5 iphones on a newly activaly family plan, never insert the sim cards into them, not pay the first bill or any bill..... this is what equipment gamers do so they can sell the phones on the blackmarket...... thus blacklisting the IMEI will tell other GSM providers, INTERPOL, etc this phone has been flagged....

but 1 measley Iphone 4s, jailbroken, cydia unlocked..... put in a tmobile sim card.... lmfao.... will that be blacklisted????????????? If so, there are TTTTTTTOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNNNSSSSSSSSSS... of blacklisted iphones. lmfao!!!!

How do I unlock my iPhone without a SIM card?

You don't need an active SIM card to activate an iPhone; any SIM card that matches the carrier that an iPhone is locked to will work, or if the iPhone is unlocked, any SIM card should do. You will need to activate the iPhone via a USB connection to iTunes in this case which will processes the activation via your computer over the Internet, and in this case neither iTunes nor iOS cares about whether the SIM card is active. So, knowing this, if you can find an old SIM card laying around, or borrow somebody else's old SIM card, try sticking it in your iPhone and going through the activation process. It will either work or it won't (usually if the iPhone is locked and the SIM doesn't match), but you won't damage your iPhone or hurt anything by trying.Even if you find an old full-sized SIM card, you can cut it down to micro-SIM size to insert into your iPhone. If it's a dead SIM card anyway, you've got nothing to lose by trying this either, and instructions and templates for doing this can be easily found online. If you really can't get your hands on any SIM card whatsoever, your only other option is to resort to jailbreaking tools that will effectively bypass the activation process, colloquially known as "hactivating" an iPhone. A wide variety of information and tutorials for doing this can be found online, particularly if you search for "hactivate iPhone" so there's not much point in going into them in detail here.

Simple Mobile on a Sprint locked Iphone 5?

I am using a R-Sim 9 on a locked Sprint Iphone 5.

My carrier is Simple mobile. I just activated a phone, cut my sim card to fit etc...

I can send/receive calls as well as receive texts. However, I cannot send texts, get online (other than wifi), or reach my voicemail.

Is there something I am missing? It seems weird to have service but only have certain things work

Why is the iPhone 5s factory unlocked so cheaply in India? What does 'factory unlocked' mean?

There are two types of unlocked phonesFactory unlockedUnlocked (third party)A factory unlocked phone and unlocked phone can both be used with a SIM card on any network. However, the main difference is that a factory unlocked phone has been unlocked by the carrier or retailer and an unlocked phone has been unlocked by a third party. Factory unlocked phones are shipped from the source and unlocked before being sold to the customer. For example, the iPhone can be bought from the Apple retail or online store factory unlocked. An unlocked phone will have a higher resale value than a locked one. It's the most sold!! Because it offers more flexibility to switch networks and pay less when roaming abroad!!

How to factory unlock iphone using the imei number ?

How to factory unlock iphone using the imei number ?

Ive been recently trying to understand and find a way to factory unlock iphones ,

I have a business that work with phones & iphones . And i want to start doing iphone unlocks , but the thing is that all the places i find , charge around $20 to $29 for an unlock . Which is alot , because if i charge people $35 for an unlock , i wouldn't be making enough money to run a business . I know some people charge $40 , but is still wont be enough to run a business.

Please dont tell me : this place does it for less money . Just tell me how to do a factory unlock using the imei number.

What is the difference between a carrier unlocked and a factory unlocked iPhone?

There is a huge difference no one honestly tells you about this, so here goes.  A factory unlocked iPhone will continue to receive updates and never give to problems if it's ever reset. A carrier unlocked phone will work with any sim card, but after it receives an update, to have to use a sim card from the original carrier to complete the device setup process, or you will have no phone until you get that sim card. For instance you buy a T-Mobile unlocked iPhone and use it on Mobilicity in Canada. Then you sell it to someone who performs a device reset, so now the iPhone starts up and asks for a T-Mobile Sim card to complete the setup process. Sometimes a system update can also trigger this. So now you need to buy a new or used sim card from the original carrier and basically use it as a bypass or activation sim card. Then you can use your normal sim card. Some should modify the iPhone by unlocking improperly through modifying the OS, then writing it back to the device. But if the device ever receives an update the device will recognize the original carrier it came from and then lock itself back to that carrier, and you cannot roll the firmware completely back. Only with an iPhone does this crap happen, thank you very much!
