Does the asthma medication Proventil cause weight gain?

Albuterol will not cause you to gain weight. Also, Advair is an inhaled steroid, and the side effects of inhaled steroids are not nearly as bad as those of systemic steroids. I'd be much more concerned with not being able to breathe than the possibility of gaining a few pounds. Talk to your doc about the side effects of Advair.
When you can't breathe, nothing else really matters!

Does the asthma med. Salbutamol make you gain weight?

"Diet and Bodybuilding use
Salbutamol is taken by some as an alternative to Clenbuterol for purposes of fat burning.
"

Salbutamol is a bronchodilator, not a steroid. Weight gain is not a common side effect. Evaluate your tendencies and habits and investigate if something else could be causing it, less exercise, more calorie intake? Other medication? If in doubt still, talk to your doctor.

How do steroids burn fat really fast?

They don’t….I’ve done multiple steroid cycles. Sometimes I don’t lose any fat whatsoever. Sometimes I even gain fat. Why? Because losing fat is primarily about diet. Calorie deficit. That’s it.However, there are ways steroids can HELP lose fat. Steroids enhance fat metabolism by directly improving the efficiency of the cells. Also indirectly, steroids enable you to train harder, longer and more often - which will increase your body’s energy demands (for that calorie deficit I talked about)Bodybuilders use steroids for two reasons. One is to gain muscle - and in this scenario they are going to be eating lots of food and in a calorie surplus. This is when you can gain a little fat.The second reason is to maintain muscle whilst on a calorie deficit (“cutting”). So in this scenario a bodybuilder may appear to burn lots of fat using steroids but again its not really because of the steroids. It’s energy in vs energy out.Personally, if I want to lose fat really fast - I eat 500 calories per day under what I need and do an hours cardio every day.

Oral steroids don't seem to working for my asthma/brocospasms?

steroids are used to prevent occurrence of the attack not to control it
if you have the attack you should use bronchodilators not steroids

Do asthma inhalers make people get fat?

Maybe they could, but it's a long shot.
some of them contain steroids, and steroids are what athletes use to bulk up. So "if" asthma inhalers make you "fat" it's not really fat, but more bulking and swelling than actual body fat.

Is Salbutamol Sulphate inhaler for asthma patients a steroid?

No, it is a short acting beta2 agonist and is known as a bronchodilator. This is where it dilates your bronchi and bronchioles, to help you breathe better. Typically the blue inhaler is a reliever and the brown/purple inhaler is a preventer. The preventers are those which are steroids.

Is albuterol a type of steroid?

It's not a stupid question. Albuterol is a beta 2 specific bronchodilator. This means that it is specific to the smooth muscles of the airways of the lungs and that it helps to open them up or dilate them. It is not a steroid. Steroids that are inhaled are corticosteroids and they help by acting as anti-imflammatory agents. Corticosteroids are much better than anabolic steroids since they work at the area where they are inhaled and they have much less systemic side effects. Meaning you won't have all of the weight gain, pimples and emtional changes. Hope this helps.
