Is engineering a good career for me?

To be an engineer would i have to be extra ordinary at math, physics and that kind of stuff?
Or will i be able to go for it if i am decent at those but still pretty science-oriented?
I'm pretty artistic also

What should a 26 years old engineer do, having no job, but willing to pursue civil services, yet wants to have an MBA as a career backup?

Remember, my friend, you are never a burden on your parents. But yes its your responsibility to make a good career. Do write your exam with full dedication , coz if u start thing about other factors it will not be able to focus. But once you are done with you exam , do start searching for other jobs which are less competitive. Get into a job and get going , that will give you peace of mind and little unbiased idea about what you really wana do.  Probably an year at job and you would be able to take wise decision.I knew a person who was trying for CA for past 4 years and couldnt clear . I think knowing your limitations sooner than later also plays an important role .All the best bro :-)

BS In electronics engineering am i underpaid?

Im currently working at a major aerospace company making $60K /year but i get paid hourly around $28/ hr plus OT. I do have a BS in electronics engineering.
certificate in labview
certificate in engineering and architectural autocad
certificate in Pro-e
certificate in mechatronics engineering.
certificate in systems Engineering
Certificate in RF engineering.

My undergrad came from a non accredited institution but my certificates came from a well known university.

Is my BS good enough to be in an engineering position. knowing that i have certificates that mainly focus certain fields of engineering.

would it be better to pursue a diff field in engineering knowing that only a few of my credits will transfer. basically starting from the beginning.

Is a Sr engineering technician position considerered as an Engineer Or a technician.

Is becoming a Civil Engineering Technician a good Career Choice?

I'm currently 26, and will be 27 by the end of this summer (which is when I want to start). I have a B.A. in Graphic Design, so this will be me going BACK to school. I'm changing careers because I want to get into a more "green" industry because the environment is something I care deeply about, AND because print design is a dying field. My plan would be to do a great program at a community college I found, and then, later in life, complete another 2 years to get a second BA. My question is if starting as a civil engineering tech is a good idea? The pay looks good, and the type of work looks interesting to me too. The program at the community college looks good, and I've always been into building things(I had tons of legos as a kid). Plus, I've heard people say creativity is a plus in the engineering field. It would be a very different change of pace, but a welcome I think.

Is 26 too old to graduate computer engineering? Am I going to be able to find a job?

I think that there is no ‘ too late ‘ when it comes to learning. It’s more important the knowledge you are bringing to your new job, and 26 is not that old at all, trust me, I’m 36, recently finished schooling, and found a great job that I love more than any other I had before. So, try and stay focused, and keep your mind to the goal you are trying to achieve, not how old are you. I was looking for a job I’d love to come to work every single day, and had three jobs before this one, because I needed a job, but now, I can’t remember the day I didn’t want to get to work.Best of luck!

Can I start studying engineering at the age of 26 and make a successful career?

As User-13672886249002176439 states, this is definitely possible in the US. Schools cannot generally discriminate by age (although it has happened and probably still happens at some schools), and most schools won’t care or will appreciate your maturity. Since you are over 25, you are considered a nontraditional student. This can make financial aid easier. However, after 26, you are no longer eligible to be on your parent or guardian’s health insurance (if that was ever a possibility), and regardless of ACA changes, schools generally require students to have health insurance.I would recommend going full-time if you can. You’ll be at least 30 by the time you start a career, and the years 30–35 are often when educated people are getting married and having children. It’s not required, but something to consider. Eventually, you will be visibly older, and that puts you at risk of age discrimination in hiring, which is illegal and yet happens. However, you’ll be that age eventually anyway. One thing to think about: only about 1/2 of engineering graduates actually get jobs as engineers. The ones who don’t usually still get good jobs, but people decide “this isn’t what I want to do”, and if you can figure that out earlier, you may find another STEM discipline with equally good (or better) employment and not as much stress. You don’t want to play the stupid game I did and wait until junior year to even think about a career and senior year to start working on employment.Good luck!

I m in Electrical and Computer Engineering school.I m 26 years old and I never had a job .I switched majors some years ago.I have no money?

Study hard. Get your degree as soon as possible. Get a job.

I am a 26 year old Computer Engineering graduate. I have applied to around 30-40 companies and all my job applications were rejected. I am hopeless and so fed up with my life. My CGPA is 3.5 out of 4.0. What shall I do?

Did you know that only 20% of job openings are online and 80% are offline? That means that when you apply online, you only compete for 1/5 of the opportunities. One of the best ways to get a feel for a job and a company without interviewing for an actual position, is to line up an informational interview. The informational interview is simply a conversation between yourself and someone who holds a job similar to what you would like to have either now or someday in the future. Not only that, hiring managers only look at 50% of applications, 30% get disqualified, 5% get an interview, and 0.2% of people actually land an offer.Pretty ridiculous, right?Instead of trying to apply through a job portal and being like everyone else, try something different.Identify people who you want to work with or for and find those people on LinkedIn.Email them cold asking for a coffee meeting. (A warm referral would be nice, but we’ll talk about that in another answer.)Email them with the following template (I’ll reveal it at the end of this answer)Meet with them in person and ask the following questions:“What’s your biggest challenge your facing at your job right now?”“What interests you most about XYZ career?”At the end, be sure to wrap up with “Are there any interesting people doing XYZ that you think I should meet?”BOOM.You just landed yourself another interview.Bonus: When they tell you about their biggest challenge, veraciously take notes. (mentally or on paper)Go home, study the crap out of what they told you their biggest problem was and create a proposal that solves their problem.Email it back to them. Why is this so powerful? You’re doing the job before you get the job and for free!If you want the email template to land these coffee meetings, I’ll send it to you on Facebook Messenger here. This is the template my buddy used to land offers at Google, Twitter, Uber, Microsoft, and a bunch of high growth startups.shoutout to Cultivated Culture
