Will I Be Accepted Into College

How do you know if you got accepted to a college?

I got an e-mail and it said:
Congratulations on your admission to ________
We are pleased that you are considering attending our campus. As with all universities, newly admitted students are required to take placement examinations as part of the enrollment process. The California State University system requires most students to take the English Placement Test (EPT) and/or the Entry Level Math Exam (ELM). In reviewing your admission file, this is your placement test status:

EPT: Must take the EPT
ELM: Must take the ELM

And it just goes on to say that they recommend i take the test early and just basic info on it. Basically my question is, did they accept me or are they just saying they got my application? haha xD
Sorry for the dumb questions, im the 1st in my family to go to college, and im soo nervous xD

Will I be accepted into the Disney College program if I have a misdemeanor?

I just interviewed over the phone and the last question we talked about was how I answered "yes" to the question "Have you ever plead guilty to a criminal felony or misdemeanor?" and "are you currently charged with this crime?"
I am on probation right now for trespassing, which I don't think is that bad of a crime but since Disney is a family company do you think I will not accepted into the program because of this? A lot of college kids seem to get in small infractions but I'm afraid that I won't get in because the tone of the interview seemed to change when I told the lady I have a misdemeanor.

Didnt get accepted into any college...?

The ones who got accepted at a college and had poorer records than you probably applied to colleges with lower admission standards than yours or you are not accurately comparing the many criteria that are used for admission./

What are the Chances of Being accepted into College with a 2.17 cumulative GPA and an ACT score of 25?

You're not talking about a particular college, right? Do you mean just college in general if you'll get into? If this is the case, you'll surely get into A college.

Will I get accepted into colleges if I only take regular classes?

Not to worry! Taking "regular" classes instead of "advanced" or "honors" will not ruin your chances of getting into college.

College admissions are partially based on the classes you take. But colleges also look at the following things:
- Grade point average
- ACT and SAT scores
- Recommendation letters
- Admissions essays
- Extracurricular activities
- Awards and honors

So basically, yes, you can get admitted to a good school, even though you took regular classes. Make sure that you keep getting good grades, get a high score on your ACT/SAT, and participate in lots of activities.

How long does it take to be accepted into a college?

Sometime between February and April.

If I didn't get accepted into any good colleges, should I go to a community college for a year or take a gap year?

Go to community college, unless a gap year would provide you with significant life experience i.e. do not pretend you are still in High School. Either go out and live by yourself some distance from your home, to learn how to take care of yourself, or you can do something like sign up for the Reserves or National Guard (US specific).By living by yourself, you can actually mature as a person making you more ready for college and life. I have seen people waste away years with doing nothing staying at home, and I understand I am lazy when I visit home. Learning to take care of yourself will pay you in the long run, even if it seems hard.By joing the Reserves or National Guard, you can have roughly 6 months to 12 months of training, money, and have a part time job for when you come back. The experience will help you grow as a person, and experience a new life style. Additionally, depending on specifics you may get help paying for college. The only real downside with this is that you do not learn those independence since initial enlisted training kind of treats you like a child. You can reapply to those good schools and talk about your experience.Going straight to community college is an option too. Community college can be nearly free with Federal help (FAFSA) (US specific). It will give you the college experience or a form of it. I recommend trying to live by yourself and working, if you can handle it with the course work. You can always apply to four year programs later, try to match the two programs to reduce having to spend extra money at the four year school.

Would my age affect my chances of being accepted into college?

Q. Would my age affect my chances of being accepted into college? I am sixteen and will be graduating high school this May, and I just applied for college. I have completed all of the credit hours I need to graduate, and I also scored a 31 on the ACT. However, my mother believes there’s a chance I won’t be accepted, since people are generally 18 when they graduate.A. 31 is a respectable ACT score, although you can raise it if time permits. I started college at 16, but I was as mature/immature as my classmates since it took me the regular four years for high school. In my daughter’s Stanford class, there were two 18 year-old graduates from UC Berkeley. You should not have any trouble getting into a good college at your age, with a 31 ACT score. Do deliberate about your choice of college, major and career. There is a lot of freedom and you will need to balance your life and not get carried away. All the best!(I did not skip grades by choice. In Vietnam, my parents made us skip a grade so that we would not get drafted if we fail a class. If you are 18 and not in college, you have to enter the military. In the US, I had to skip 7th grade to help tutor my older brother).
