Is 80 kg overweight for a 13 year old?

First of all, good news for you! You can easily slim down and much faster than any other age group as you have the highest metabolism rate. You only need to note three things; Diet, Exercise and Motivation.

On Diet, you need the most nutrient during this period. What you eat will determine your health and physics for the rest of your adulthood. That means, if you don’t slim down during this period, you are likely to get fat always in your adulthood. Also you will likely to be sick easily for the rest of your life. You need to have a balance diet with the correct food like protein, fats, vitamins, etc. (Ladies, if you eat too little, you are likely to have small breast and butt for life). You can’t to be choosy on food. Refer to the blog at the end if you don’t know what you need to eat.

Exercise is at this period, you are able to lose weight fast and develop your muscle too. Exercise every other day for 30 ~ 45 minutes, 3 times a week. Left one day for rest. Cardio exercise like jogging swimming, dancing, aerobics, etc are good to reduce fat fast. Lastly, is your will to slim down. You can all set goals to lose weight. But if you did not have the will or you left the goals unchecked. I'm 14 years old and I weigh 80 kg?

I've always had weight issues ever since i was small. My whole family is slim apart from me. I am 169cm tall and i weigh approximately 80kg. Is this bad? My bmi is 28 i think and i know that's overweight but apparently the bmi calculators dont work for teens? I am healthy, i dont stuff myself with chocolates and chips. I eat a lot of fruit and veggies. I think the reason im so heavy is beacuse i dont exercise. Are there any weight loss formulas i can try making at home? What should i do? Please dont be mean, im just an average 14 yr old and like most teens i cant take bullying well. Please help, jan xx

Hi your weight is still in the healthy range for your bmi so you have nothing to worry about! The weight will be muscle and that's great and really healthy! As long as you're happy with your weight then don't worry about the number on the scales! :)

yup was i am following it so I can suggest you here it goes.wake at 6 am. have a glass of warm water and lemon juice. for next one hour don't eat or drink anything.go for brisk walk and exercise for 1 hour .nearby 8.30 or 9 have a bowl of oats/cornflake/sproutchaat/poha/upmaTry to indulge yourself in physical work like using steps instaed of lift. try to avoid vehicle if possible .Take lunch between 12 to 1 pm . it should contain I bowl dal , 2 chapatis ,1 mixveg ,glass of buttermilk and salad .don't go for sleep just after lunch.Between 4 to5 p.m. you can have murmura and seasonal fruit along with any beverage tea/coffee .take Dinner between 8 to 8.30 pm .Have lot of salad , soup,1 chapati and green vegetable.Again try to have a small walk after Dinner. after half an hour drink warm water with lemon.nearby 10pm or before sleeping have a glass of low fat milk .It is necessary for proper sleep and for bones.stop having junk food completely.If you are found of sweet dish have it once a week in limited amount.avoid deep fried, oily stuff.I am hundred percent sure if you follow this even a month you can see the difference.
