Will I get held back in 8th grade if I fail 3 classes?
When I was in middle school, (last year) for the 3 years I was there I was always told that it would be fine to fail one, but 2–3 meant summer school.Now, this could all depend on your situation. Have you failed every quarter? Do you do your homework? Do you know enough to pass the final?If you’ve failed every quarter then I’d say you would need summer school, but if that isn’t an option than you might be held back. All I can say is try to study your ass off and pass the finals for all 3 classes, and maybe your teachers will see the effort you made and bump up your grade.Good luck

In my school district, you can pass the 8th grade as long as your cumulative GPA is over a 2.0 ... which means that you could have gotten all F's in your math classes, but as long as the other classes bring your GPA up, you're okay there. So you really ought to talk to the office about it. I'm a bit surprised your teachers haven't discussed this with you already.

If you just pass in 8th grade, you are going to do horribly in 9th grade. In 8th grade I got about 1-3 hours of homework a night. In 9th grade I got about 5-8 hours of homework a night. If you don't take any accelerated classes, you will still get at least 3 or 4 hours of homework a night. If you didn't do anything in 8th grade, 9th grade is going to be REALLY REALLY rough for you. There is so much more homework, and a lot more stress because colleges look at 9th grade. Get at least c's and b's if you want to get into college. Some colleges will take you in if you only get d's and f's, but they won't be very good. The stuff they will teach you in those colleges will not get you into a very good job that pays a lot. Do good in school. So yes, you probably will pass 8th grade, but try harder next year. Try harder than you ever thought you would. You will be thankful when you are an adult with a nice career. PLEASE READ THIS. OK so im not sure i have an F yet but just in case i do. Im in 8th grade and i have algebra 1 which is a high school class. um my teacher keeps on saying "if you don't pass this class you will get held back" I'm sooo scared. i haven't failed this class in any other quarters. and right now i just took all my exams except for the math one tomorrow (it will determine if i pass or not) and i have an A in all my other classes. I don't think it's fair that i'd get held back just for one class. What does my teacher mean by "if you fail this class"? does failing one quarter pass as failing his class? and WILL I GET HELD BACK? Wish me luck on my test :(
How many F's do you need to fail 8th grade?
I am an older sibling of my sister who is in 8th grade. She is currently in 8th grade and in the second quarter of the first semester. She told me she has a passing grade (C's and D's) for Math and Science, but her class which is English and Social Studies, that is mixed together is called speech, she has an F for. She goes to an online school so I don't know exactly how it works. I can understand how frustrating it is for her to concentrate on one thing when she could be doing other things, but it's worrying me that she might not be able to pass English and Social Studies. I'm not sure if she gets separate grades for each class, although English and Social Studies are combined together to be Speech class. Please help my helpless sister! Thank you!!! ~Cara

By Planning. Failing to plan as they say is planning to fail. Plan for your time, plan for your reading, plan for the time you spend with your family and friends. If there are last question papers available to you, study with them. And if you are a Christian or not, just pray before and after reading. I wish you luck.
Is one F enough to fail 7th grade?
If you are in the US it is increasingly harder to get held back a grade. I have been in several different districts in multiple states. In none of those systems would a student be held back for failing one class, even in a core class like science. I have seen students promoted who fail English, math, history all in the same year.This is one thing that makes high school so difficult for at risk students. They are told by their teachers that if they don’t do their work they will fail, and sure enough they don’t do the work and the student gets an F, but they just move on to the next grade. So at risk students learn that there is no consequence for getting an F. Now this student gets to high school hears the same line about not working will result in a failing grade, and sure enough they fail. The next year they are called a 10th grader, but surprise, surprise they are taking 9th grade English, 9th grade math, 9th grade science and so on. Then out of frustration many of these students drop out somewhere during the 10th grade year.

wat the heck is a "u"? newayz, i recommend u to repeat math. an F is horrible. luckily, u havent reached 9th grade, so it wont go on ur resume... as alwayz, contact the school administration for more details on graduation and stuff like that.
