Will I Gain Weight On 700 Calories A Day

If I go from eating 500 calories to eating 1200 will I gain weight?

I want to be as compassionate as possible in this answer, because I’m aware that a person interested in the question as stated may have a problem with their relationship with food and body image. At 1200 calories, you will starve to death more slowly than at 500. A tiny adult female would squeak by at 1500–1700 Cal, with little to spare for walking around. A moderately sized (5′4 and 150lb) female with a typical, relatively sedentary lifestyle would maintain at about 2200 - 2400. If that seems like a huge number, please consider talking to a doctor about your feelings and lifestyle.

Will I lose weight eating 500-700 calories a day?

You will lose weight at first. I know that because I've done it. I don't want to lecture you but I'll give you as much information as I can, read as much as you want.

At first, you will lose huge amounts of weight, much more than the typical diet. I was losing about 3kg a week at most while eating that much and burning about 1000 calories a day with cardio. Eventually, your body will get used to eating that much and your weight-loss will get slower and eventually stop.

Now, most people will tell you that you will put the weight back on now. That's not necessarily true. If you keep exercising a lot after finishing your diet and slowly increase your calorie intake, you can keep the weight off. You will however, have do deal with strong hunger pangs and carb-cravings. If you're strong willed and can deal with it, then you will be able to keep the weight off.

For anyone who will say that the weight won't stay off, I've lost over 50 pounds doing that and have managed to keep it all off for over a year (Sticks tongue out). ;) As for underlying problems, I've gotten my bloodwork done recently and am perfectly healthy.

How much weight will i lose on 700 calories a day?

700 calories is barely enough for your body. Your body will use those 700 calories to support itself rather than focus on weight loss. What you should do is eat to around 1200 calories, maybe more, especially if you run.

You have the calories, now all you need to do is fill it with healthy choices and occasional junk if you really crave it.

I am eating 1500 calories a day and gaining weight?

For a while I was only eating between 300 and 700 calories a day. I lost weight rapidly during this time. When I decided I was happy with my weight, I upped my calories to about a 1000-1100. Well I stopped loosing weight, but felt hungry all the time. Recently I have upped my calorie intake to about 1500 calories. Well in the past month or so, I Have gained like 3 to 4 pounds. Help... what am I doing wrong?

I get under 700 calories from nutrisystem diet, will I gain weight?

It takes and intake of 3500 calories to gain one pound. It takes a loss of 3500 calories to lose one pound. If you are used to a diet of 1500 calories a day and cut that down to 1000 calories a day (by a healthy diet and exercise, hopefully), you'll lose 500 calories a day or 3500 calories a week (7 days times 500 calories). Therefore you should lose a pound a week. Figure out how much of a calorie lose you are getting in a week and that should give you an idea of how much your loosing.

By the way, 700 calories a day is a really small amount. I'm not even sure if that's healthy.

How much weight will I gain eating 500 extra calories?

The direct (and text book) answer is that if you eat 500 extra calories in a day, that days caloric excess will result in a weight gain of 2.3 ounces. 1 lb. of fat will be lost or gained depending on whether 3,500 calories are consumed in excess, or, restricted from caloric homeostasis. Resting Metabolic Rate is the numerical value used to determine caloric homeostasis. By this calculus, if you eat an excess of 500 calories everyday for 7 consecutive days you should gain a pound of fat in a week. Let me assure you that it isn’t always that simple depending on a multitude of potential metabolic factors. A practical thought; take into consideration the composition of the weight gained. It could be all fat or a combination of fat and muscle depending on activity levels and whether a strength training regimen is simultaneously utilized.

I am 14 and eat 700 calories a day. Is it enough to lose weight?

I feel like this question needs to be answered in two parts, so bare with me:First.Yes, you’ll lose weight, and still much faster than most would consider healthy. A lot of it will come from muscle, and eating that little will probably permanently stunt your growth forever, and you’ll most likely gain a lot of it back when you resume normal eating. But if you’re okay with being 5′4″ and barely able to even walk around because you’re so weak along with the constant threat of your heart stopping because it has no energy to pump your blood, then go ahead.Second.40kgs is a DEADLY weight for someone your height and age. I’m not going to tell you how to live your life like I’m sure a lot of people on here are going to try to do. If you want to be that weight, I don’t have the right to tell you not to do it. But since you have asked for opinions on a public forum, and because I lost 3 years of my life to an eating disorder, I feel compelled to let you know that if you successfully get to that weight, you will die. That is not hyperbole.You. Will. Die.Take a class in anatomy or biochemistry or advanced biology before you start deciding what a good weight for you is. Fat is not the enemy. You’re already at a very healthy weight. I understand that “healthy” is not what young people these days care about (I say, not even 5 years older than you), but you can still lose a little more weight and be healthy. 40kg is not a healthy weight, and you will not look beautiful or cute or sexy for it, because you will look like a corpse - because you will literally be days away from becoming one.“Fat”, which is the general term for all different kinds of lipids in your body, is essential for life functions. Fat insulates your organs and protects them organs from each other and from your skeleton. Fat makes up the myelin sheaths that cover your nerves and brain cells and make connections between neurons possible. Many of your hormones are created from fat, and the cell membranes are held together by fat - they’re literally called lipid (fat) bilayers. You need to maintain a high enough weight for your body to live, okay? So if you would prefer to be alive and enjoy your weight loss, then it would be in your best interest to shoot for 47/48 kgs at the LIGHTEST.
