Will It Be Cool If They Make A Horror Movie People Will Never Forget

What movies will you never forget??

In general I will never forget Pulp Fiction.
The best ending has to be Children of Men, it lets the viewer make their own conclusions and thats why i like it.

Why do you like horror movies?

I do like being scared, but more than that, I LOVE being kept on the edge of my seat (so to speak) in anticipation of what might happen next. Even if it's a movie that I've seen before, if it's a good one I'll still end up excited & ready to scream at whatever's around the next corner. It causes me to think: 'What would I do if I was in that exact same situation'--no matter how unrealistic the situation is. If the movie's good enough, you can pretty easily see yourself as the one who has to escape the evil killer that would otherwise rip you to pieces! Even with movies that aren't that good, there's a certain attraction to watch them (for me, at least) because you get to seem really smart & you get to-from a very safe distance (I hope it's safe, anyway)-ask some of the characters "how could you be so stupid" when they do dumb or obvious things that are obviously going to end up with them dead.

What was your best horror experience that you can never forget?

It happened one night. One chilly winter night, in my house. Time 11pm, mom and I alone at home——In the bedroom upstairs. Mom was sitting on the floor, reading the newspaper. I was reading tinkle on the bed. My position was facing the entry of the room (the corridor was in front of it). Mom was sitting perpendicular to it. Both of us were engrossed in our reading business. Suddenly within the corner of my eye, I saw something. It numbed my spine to the core!. My peripheral vision caught a tall ethereal figure walk by. It was wearing a white gown and had long hair. It all happened in an instant!I was damn sure that I had seen something out of the ordinary. I immediately hushed to my mother and told her, ‘I saw a ghostly figure clad in white dress pass by in the corridor’.She smirked and didn't believe me. When I insisted, she took the precaution of searching the house (I don't know, if precaution can be used here) for an intruder. (Yes she didn't believe that I had seen a ghost!)The apparation whose presence I had witnessed (hallucinated) had walked towards the balcony via the corridor. (It all happened so fast!). My mom and I went to the balcony and opened it (I still don't understand, what kind of courage possessed us!).As we opened the balcony—— we found the washed clothes still hung on the lines. And at 11:30pm we picked all the clothes, and put them back in. Mother was now sure I had hallucinated. She went to sleep. But I couldn't, spent rest of the night wide eyed.To creep things up: It rained that night! Yes! But wait… we had already taken the clothes back in. Thanks to the ghost that I saw. Had it not moved towards the balcony, we would’ve spent the next day moaning over the drenched clothes. The “Ghost” acually came to our help. Quite unexpected I feel!Penning this experience down, I have goosebumps remembering the incident that took place 5 years ago. (I am writing in the same house!)

How would you survive a horror movie?

Some things I would do:Never split up from the group. Everybody must stay in pairs at all times. Even to go to the bathroom. We all know what happened to Moaning Myrtle. When you shoot the serial killer, don’t walk away. Empty your gun into that bastard’s face. Then set him on fire. It never hurts to make sure he’s dead.If you’re thinking about buying an old house where somebody died, don’t do it. Especially if there’s a scary urban legend surrounding the place and the locals refuse to go near it.If you’re in a bar and bring up a topic that makes everybody in the room go all mysterious and quiet, avoid that thing at all costs. If your friends suggest going into an abandoned asylum at night, don’t go with them. Find new friends.Don’t keep any strange or creepy looking artefacts found in haunted or abandoned places or anything that once belonged to a serial killer. If you hear a noise in your house when you’re supposed to be home alone, don’t wander toward it unarmed.Demon-summoning rituals are not going to end well.Stay far away from scary dolls. If the locals are acting strange, creepy or mysterious in any way, it might be a good idea to stay clear of their neighbourhood. After being terrorised by a stalker/murder/monster, call the authorities instead of waiting around for them to strike again.Don’t be the jerk who gets killed horribly. Or the stoner who gets killed horribly. Or the slut who gets killed horribly. If you have detected any kind of supernatural presence, refrain from having sex until at least two weeks after you’re certain the thing has been destroyed, just to be safe.If anything tips off that your house is haunted, move out and burn it to the ground.Clowns are scary, stay away from them.Your kitchen has knives. If you’re being chased by a monster in your home, use them! When you’re being chased, don’t run upstairs.Listen to the spooky psychic kid.

How can I stop getting scared after watching a horror movie?

Yes. I use these two techniques personally. I'm so shit scared that when I need to pee in middle of the night I probably need someone outside the bathroom door keeping a watch for me (just in case those fictional characters were real and would come to kill me at night while peeing. Haha yes, mind doesn't work by logic at night.)Technique No. 1 -So the technique number 1 is to watch it in mute. Unmute when dialogues are being said. But keeping it on mute will allow you to be not that scared when something or someone suddenly appears.Sound effects of these movies make it more scary.Another psychological hack with this is that watching it on mute won't let you completely submerge in the scary atmosphere, you'd be able to differentiate between what's a real world and fiction.Hence, you'd be way more less scared.Technique No. 2 —So this may sound stupid but it works. So be with me here. I use it. It does help.Step 1 - Make your friends or family watch it with you.Step 2 - When you start feeling scared, make jokes on the movie, make fun of it.The psychology behind this is to ridicule it that your brain knows it's not supposed to take the scary movie seriously. And hence, to not get scared.I hope this helped you. Happy Scary-loween!

Why do we get anxious after watching a horror movie?

Not everyone does. In fact I watch slasher movies when I feel anxious, sad, embaressed etc and I watch supernatural horror movies such as The Conjuring, IT, Kujo, Before I Wake etc when I can't sleep. Most people usualy get anxious after watching horror movies because that't what horror movies are supossed to do and that's why many people watch them. They make you feel anxious so that you can forget about your real life issues for a little bit of time (depends on how much it lasts for each person). The only time I actualy got anxious after a horror movie was when I watched the original Hellraiser. I saw the trailer and I never thought I could really get scared by a movie like that. And the character's name…Pinhead. Sounds like anything but a horror movie, right? I even looked at pictures pictures of him online. He wasn't scary in the pictures just like he wasn't scary in the trailer. So, I bought the HD quality version of the movie on Google Play and I watched it late at night. As I was watching the movie I noticed something weird. I had a feeling that Leatherface, Jason, Michael, Freddy, Ghostface, Chucky, Jigsaw with his weird doll and suicide ”games”, Pennywise, The Shark from Jaws, Xenomorph and/or any other horror character never gave me. A feeling of intense anxiety. I felt as if I didn't want to laugh at the character like I do when I watch other horror movies or see them for their baddasery (like Jason for example). I had that weird feeling when I was watching the movie and by the time I finnished it I could barely think about the beautiful things in life. I thought I was going to die of a heart attack. I slept with the light on for the rest of the night just in case I needed a water bottle (I don't see well in the dark). I don't get scared by horror movies but this one didn't just scare me. It did more than that. It did something I cannot explain. This is why I see it as a masterpiece and I think of Clive Barker as the genius that he is. But I also noticed that I wasn't thinking about the problems I had in real life in those moments. This is why I also thank Clive Barker for helping feel better.

A dream like a horror movie. mutilated body parts. please help. too horrible to forget!?

i was in Paris (never been there) in a rented apartment that a company that had just hired me, sent me there. a lot of unknown colleagues were talking in the living room and i went to the bathroom. there were torn bloody human members feet and hands hanging like in a butcher's shop. I was mesmerised from the atrocity. I understood the company employees were leaving there their own members to exchange them with mechanical ones. when i went out of the bathroom i wanted to flee away but the employees ganged up on me saying 'you can adapt! you will be one of us' but i went out of house with great vigour and they stayed back. i rode feeling free and relieved a small white car. i kept driving but i started losing orientation. i found myself alone in the highway leading to the airport but I was terriefied by the desert all around me that i felt like passing out. a strange anxiety, everything was free but i was feeling totally enclosed, like i had to escape but there was no place to escapefrom

Is it weird for a womn to love Horror movies?

I'm a huge fan of Horror films (especially Friday the 13th, Halloween & Nightmare on Elm Street movie franchises and 80s slasher films). I like comedy movies too but I love Horror more. I'm not a fan of the "chick flick" and romantic movies.

I just worry what about people think of me (some people can be so critical sometimes).

Old Horror vs New Horror?

There are some good ones sprinkled among the new, but I detest the trend toward films that are more like autopsies! No, those would be vivisections since the people aren't dead! I agree with gory not being equivalent to scary.

So, I enjoy the older films much more and watch them frequently. if you want to weigh them in a balance, I think the older ones would be the winners.
