Will Microsoft Let Me Buy A Warranty From Microsoft Themselves

Why did Google buy Motorola for $12.5 billion and sell it off for $2.91 billion?

One could say that Google has a fantastic grasp on the future and to a large degree actually make it if you hadn't noticed. The Motorola patents are overwhelmingly and massively undervalued as far as the future will show you. Motorola some years ago developed about the only option for human control that can ever be taken seriously as the technology they developed is literally IT when it comes to what is coming. Motorola was not in a position to leverage this technology but the futurists of Google have been aware of it ever since it was developed and have been moving and motioning the company to quickly take it up when the time is right. What am I talking about? It's a tiny chip the size of a grain of rice that is astonishingly clever, I don't really know how it works but I know some of the things it can do once it's in your hand and I mean literally in your hand, via a needle. Motorola spent around a million deciding where to stick it, I know where I'd like to stick it!Each little capsule can be coded to you just like a finger print and it may be linked to your DNA. In effect once you have it, it's you. It will be used for banking and any financial transactions or tracking, healthcare, shopping, unlocking your car and opening the front door and turning your TV on etc etc. You will be monitored while going about your life and it knows exactly where you are or at least, they will. It cannot be removed for some reason I can't recall although if you or someone else does, your pretty much stuffed without it. At least you'll know where your kids are.I believe Google glasses will have something to do with it, along with their nest of secret contraptions.Who knows, the patents may be worth a Trillion before WE know it, THEY probably do.

Microsoft office code?

I downloaded microsoft office 2010 when it first came out off of the microsoft website. Today it won't let me use my word because it says I need a code. How can I figure out what my code is because I cannot find it saved anywhere on my computer. Any suggestions? (College student and I frequently need to type word documents)

How much does it cost to clean a disc at gamestop?

Unfortunately, if it is what I think it is, you can not get it fixed.

It is a laser burn and not a scratch (Perfectly circular ring around the whole disc).

The 360 is known for this. You can not move or bump the system while it is playing a disc. The laser gets disloged and will burn a circle wherever the read head is at that time.

You may have a larger problem than just the loss of the game. If the laser head did not correct itself, it may actually burn any more games you try playing in it.

If your 360 is still under warranty, you may want to contact Microsoft and tell them your problem (do not tell them you bumped or moved the system). They might realign the laser and maybe give you a replacement game.

How do you solve the battery issues of a Nokia Lumia 535?

I think you have a damaged battery. It's not supposed like that. My Lumia 535 reached full battery status after 20% only in 2 hours. However, you can try this tips:1. Let your battery drain to zero. Make sure that your device cannot start, even when you try to press power button.2. Start to charge your device. It will display a red battery image for about 15-20 minutes, but it's OK in common case. 3. When your device started (remember, Lumia commonly On when it is charged), put it into Airplane mode. 4. Don't pull off your charger until it reaches 100%5. If the device failed to reach 100%, even using this method. I'm pretty sure that you have a damaged battery. Replace your battery or buy a new battery.

When is it best to purchase a technical support service plan for a laptop computer? Who is best to sign on with among Dell, Microsoft, or Geek Squad?

I'm certain that many folks affiliated with one of the above service plans (or some other) will hotly contest this. But my experience gives me a blindingly simple answer to what may seem like a complex question. When is it best to purchase a technical support service plan for a laptop computer? Who is best to sign on with among Dell, Microsoft, or Geek Squad?Never, and no one. I have never, repeat never, had a "service plan", nor any other kind of insurance that even paid for itself, let alone profited me. Let me put it another way - and think about it more accurately. I've never won the bet. Bet? Was that a question I heard? All service plans are insurance. And all insurance, yes all, when you analyze it, is just a complex (and unfair) bet. It's legalized gambling. Gambling that was legal all over the world long before the Vegas and Monte Carlo disease spread. It's a shell game. But like all games in all casinos and all insurance companies everywhere, it's rigged. The house always wins. Always and forever - and if you really think about it you will see that this must be so in order for "the house" to exist.  If it were not true, Las Vegas, the city I live in and love (and despise) would never have been built. The gigantic multi-billion (trillion?) dollar insurance industry worldwide is founded upon the same 3 or 4 simple truths that keep Vegas and her sister cities alive. The house always wins. This is more firmly established than that a falling stone will hit the ground. Most people can't do simple math. Even fewer can use logic.People are suckers. They cannot resist a "chance" to "win".Even the very rare people who can do math and use logic - can rarely apply it if it affects them personally. In other words, they are not exempt from number 3.If you actually do the math, I'm positive you will find you have rarely (or never) won an insurance bet.  I'm even more certain that if you continue to play their game, you will lose. Sure, people "win" now and then...  The house loves it when people win! It's quite true. Nothing works better to convince more suckers to play!

What, exactly, does OEM and Open Box mean?

I agree with fnky above.

I disagree with Lavender's novel for two reasons:
1) It's a novel! (you freak)!
2) She assumes you're talking about Microsoft Windows, but you never said that. She ignores OEM "hardware".

In general, just know that OEM is generic and comes without any real support from the manufacturer. The warranty is usually still the same as a retail version, however. But if it's a hardware product and something happens while it's under warranty, you have to return it to the place you purchased it from and not straight to the manufacturer.

Open Box has been nailed in just about every post. Newegg's policy specifically states that you can return it within 15 days if it's a dud. However, beyond that there are no warranties of any kind. That's the only real risk. Evey Open Box item on there has been opened by a customer and then returned for one reason or another.

As for containing accessories, Newegg says:
"Please do not be upset or surprised if an open box product does not contain any cables, manual, software, drivers, fan, et al. Newegg.com will not send you any missing accessories, even if it is an essential part."

OEM is usually better. It will come with what's essential for the product to run. Sometimes, it will even come with software and a driver disc. I've purchased quite a few OEM DVD burners from Newegg that came with software. However, there's no guarantee in that arena either. You should read the fine print in the product description before buying.

Why can't macOS run on any computer except Apple?

Your question is divided into two parts.First part: You can run OS X on non-apple hardware. I ran one on my HP laptop for a couple of months but never found any networking drivers. So that was pain and I removed it. "Hackintosh" is the term you are looking for. Bing is your friend (or Google, if you prefer). Download it, install it and use it. If there is an OS update, kindly avoid it or it can seriously screw your machine up. Second part: If you are talking about virtualizers like VMware or KVM or VirtualBox, you have to remember that they are created by companies. To emulate the hardware, you would probably have to face a lawsuit by Apple and you would probably lose. No one wants that trouble. Plus, people who are crazy enough to run an OS X on a non-apple machine are already doing it. That being said, you do have OS X images that can be run on VMware Workstation (with a little hack). Heck, even I can produce one from my Mac using VMware fusion. But the performance, usability and (more importantly) the joy you get by running OS X on Apple hardware would be missing. You would end up asking yourself "What's so special about this one?" Because some really sexy stuff in OS X is connected with the hardware. And yes, I have used OS X on VM as well (Mavericks, actually). You would end up thinking OS X is just another dump which manages your hardware while that would be so wrong! I bought a Mac after using it an a VM, trust me, the same OS feels like being in a different worldSo more than why can't, why shouldn't it be emulated is the question.
