Will Plucking Hair On Neck Grow More Than Before

Does plucking hair stop it from growing back?

Hi….Sharing my own experience.During my early twenties..I observed that a hair was seen growing on my jawlineI started plucking it every month when I see it grown noticable.I am exactly 30 now and I don't see that hair strand since 4 months..So,I suppose it is true…I have done it unknowingly but it helped me.

Um why is there a hair growing out of my neck?

Humans have hair follicles over most of their skin. Most of them only produce the short, fine hairs that cover our bodies, while some of them produce longer hair, like in the pubic and armpit regions, and some produce very long hair, mostly on our scalps. Sometimes, though, these follicles that usually produce the short hair get their signals crossed or something, and they produce a long hair. It happens to us all. Pluck it out, usually they don't come back as long hairs. Sometimes you'll find that one follicle regularly produces a longer hair, in which case you can either check it every now and then and pluck or trim it, or go for electrolysis.

As you get older, you'll find that you get more follicles going haywire and producing longer thicker hair, everywhere BUT your scalp. Guys get this problem on their ears, especially.

Anyway, what happened to you is normal, don't worry about it, just check the area every month or so in case you get another long hair there.

Will the hair I plucked from my mole grow back?

Well it's a long story. But I'll shorten it up. I've never had a hair on my mole before, buta really thin, long hair grew from it. When I went swimming today I noticed it, and I came home today then plucked it with my tweezers. There was just one hair. It's not going to grow back right? It didn't hurt at all when I plucked it off, it was just like plucking an eyebrow hair.

Hair growing on my neck?

Yep, this is not uncommon. Hormones are the likely cause and there's nothing you can do about that. They might stop growing when your hormones settle after puberty or they may stay forever. It could be genetics too - does you mother have a similar issue?
If you can afford it the best option is laser hair removal. It works best on dark hair and is permanent (though it may take a few treatments for it never to come back).

Other than that, plucking is your best option - you can always go to a beautician to do it for you.

EDIT:
Don't listen to the people that say you should never shave - shaving can't make any difference to the way your hair grows. It's just an old wives tale. Shaving simply removes hair to the level of you skin - it doesn't affect the root in any way. The only thing with shaving is that the end of the hair is blunt, not naturally tapered, and so feels coarse and prickly. If you let it grow again the end will taper and will feel and look exactly the same as it did before.

Can I pluck my facial hair (especially on my neck)?

shaving recently has been very uncomfortable and the hair is very thick on neck, i hate it and the neck line is always looking red and irritated (even with new expensive razor blades and skin soothing balms)
i've heard of the laser hair removal surgeries but that is just not an option for me right now, is it safe to pluck the un-wanted facial hair on my neck ?

What does a single visible strand of hair growing on the neck mean?

i think it's a freak of nature. in any case, i have a friend who has a grey strand of hair groing just below her left eye. and a colleague who has a long strand of hair, grey too, on her right elbow. both of them consider these their lucky strands!

How can I remove hairs from chin and neck?

women are prone to having excessive facial hair. Many women also have darker hair colors which make their facial hair look more noticeable than others. Sufferers tend to have low self-esteem and low confidence. Well, in this article, we will discuss about some natural remedies which can help you heal your facial hair naturally. We would stress more on the hair which grows under and around your chin, as they disturb us more compared to hair on our cheeks, sideburns or forehead. None-the-less, this article serves you with all the possibilities to reduce excessive hair growth on your face. Home remedies are not only cheaper and healthier, but they are better than going through painful remedies like threading or plucking, etc.Sugar wax to remove chin hairThis natural remedy is used in numerous beauty salons. But, why pay extra bucks when you can make the mix at home and help yourself? Take 10 tablespoons of water and add 2 teaspoons of lemon. Start boiling while you add 2 tablespoons of sugar. Keep boiling till sugar melts, and the mix starts turning brown. This mix is to be applied on your chin while it is still warm, but not as soon as you turn off the burner. Apply a thick layer on skin and use waxing strips or a muslin cloth to place over. Make sure you pull the strip in the opposite direction from where the hairs grow. There is another remedy which replaces water with honey and is prepared and applied in the same way as you read in this point. This will cost you a little more but be worth the amount spent.

Does plucking facial hair , result in scars?I am a guy?

lol, some people's answers are really funny.

The reason why I am plucking it away is due to it is growing on my upper cheeks, so I cannot shave that away, because that would leave stubble and weird.

It is funny if your are not well groomed people complain, and is your well groomed , all sudden you are a gay, how ******* ironic isn't that...
