Will Rick Scott Be Defeated Next Year In Florida

Why should Rick Scott be in the Senate since Trump attacked Adam Schiff as a weasel?

Because Adam Schitf IS a weasel. Schitf is the leaker in Washington. Schitf leaks like a man after radical prostatectomy surgery. Schitf leaks like a collander.

Who will win as governor of Florida in 2018, Ron DeSantis or Andrew Gillum?

Gillum has not identified as a democratic socialist but has embraced socialist policies such as Medicare-for-All and abolishing Immigration and Customs Enforcement. He favors impeaching Trump. Raising taxes on businesses and $15.00 per hour for all Floridians . That sounds pretty socialist to me .Gillum drew a late, crucial endorsement from Sen. Bernie Sanders, and Alexandria Osacio-Cortez, whose upset win in a New York Congressional race put democratic socialism on display . I’m definitely not for socialist backed entities who welcome the idea of eliminating ice . Wanting to Impeach Trump is just a pipe dream by liberals and unrealistic . On the other hand we have Desantis who liberals are pointing at him and calling him racist for his comment “ monkey this up “ which is a far stretch to imply it’s racist . Listen if liberals can’t run an honest running candidacy without calling someone a racist for once then your admitting something rather crucial ! You Are admitting your candidate is weak and you think calling his opponent a racist is going to give you the edge! So I think Desantis will win not because he’s backed by the president but on principle alone . DeSantis a iraq war veteran said he is more concerned with Gillum's plan to greatly hike business taxes in the state, adding that such a move would reverse progress made under Gov. Rick Scott (R-Fla.) I believe this would be Gillum’s downfall. I predict a win for DeSantis.

Who will win the 2018 US Midterm election for the senate of Florida, incumbent senator Bill Nelson (Democrat) or Governor of Florida, Rick Scott (Republican)?

If people just knew ahead of time, there would no pupose waiting people to vote before announcing the winning.Sort of like how many South America and African dictatorships do, only they wait until people have voted before announcing they have won before a single vote was counted…

Who’s name is being mentioned more in Florida Governor race for the next governor of Florida Ron DeSantos or Andrew Gillum?

Truthfully, your question needs a bit more clarification. Mentioned where? On the news? On television? On social media? It really depends. If you’re political affiliation skews democratic than your online exposure to Gillum is probably more prevalent. If you lean toward Republican, you’re probably seeing more of DeSantis. It also depends where in Florida you live. Candidates tend to flood the television and radio markets where they feel the need the most help, or can garner the most support.

Who do you believe actually won the senator race -- Rick Scott or Bill Nelson? Why?

How is Florida governor's candidate, Ron DeSantis's comment "monkey this up" racist?

Monkey has been used as a derogatory term towards blacks in the US. I have seen cartoons circulated by republican acquaintances during Obama’s presidency depicting him as a monkey…these were obviously not meant to be flattering. Most people are aware that the term ‘monkey’ has been used historically to deride black people. People in the south, I would say, are more keenly aware of this. The democratic party’s nominee for governor of Florida is Andrew Gillum, the mayor of Tallahassee who is also a black man. He is the first nominee of a major party for governor of Florida who is black. He is Desantis’ main opponent.Perhaps Desantis coined an entirely new phrase in complete innocence. If so, it is one of the more ignorant uses of language I’ve seen by a person who should be accustomed to speaking publicly…especially since there are so many other ways to say what he was trying to say. I don’t really care what his intent was…whether maliciously dog whistling or just expressing himself horribly, I wouldn’t want Mr. Desantis as my governor. He is either thoughtlessly ignorant or maliciously racist (or at least seeks to court the vote of malicious racists), and after 8 years of Rick “let’s see how much we can steal from Medicare” Scott, we (Florida) don’t need it.

Who do you think will make the best governor for Florida, Ron DeSantis (R) or Andrew Gillum (D)?

DeSantis has already shown himself for what he is in his latest eff-up I mean speech, in which he claims Gillum has a “socialist agenda,” proving that DeSantis couldn’t define socialism if his life depended on it. A governor should probably know his definitions. No wonder he’s a Donald supporter. And sure, we all believe that the monkey remark wasn’t racist. Just like Roseanne and her innocent, Ambien-induced Planet of the Apes insult. There simply is no other way to say “Let’s not mess this up.” None. None whatsoever. I’m thinking and thinking and thinking, and nothing comes up.Let’s assume that he’s clueless and didn’t intend it as a racist remark. I don’t have a lot of confidence in any politician who’s in such a bubble that no one around him is smart enough to advise him about how that would sound. Have they all been in a coma?Eight years of Rick Scott raping Florida to line his pockets was enough. Time for a principled progressive to bring honor back to the state.DeSantis under fire for saying Florida shouldn't 'monkey this up' by electing Gillum, who is black“Asked for comment on DeSantis' remarks, Gillum spokesman Geoff Burgan said, "As we say in Tallahassee, bless his heart."♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Does Gillum have any chance of defeating DeSantis in November for Florida governor?

Andrew Gillum has very little chance to win in November. While he is endorsed by extremely liberal candidates like Bernie Sanders, Tom Steyer and George Soros, Gillum’s very liberal economic proposals on things like raising taxes, increasing minimum wage and other issues in are very much unpopular in Florida.Florida has a much larger aging population than most states. This is because Florida is a very favorable place for many individuals from northern and upper Midwest states to retire or spend years in “working retirement” (often because of tax and weather reasons).Higher taxes are going to be very unpopular to families and individuals who would feel the hit. In addition, retirees on a budget understand that they will feel the biggest hit from a policy that more than doubles the minimum wage. Their fixed income will be able to purchase less.Gillum wants to use almost all of the tax increases — which result in fewer jobs and higher prices — on higher education (despite the fact that Florida has some of the lowest cost of attendance for state colleges, universities and community colleges). This would appeal to young voters but not older voters. In addition, the current governor, Rick Scott, is quite popular and running for the open U.S. Senate seat in Florida. He will likely draw some voters to the polls who will likely support the candidate he wants to replace him and continue his policies.I suspect that the Democrats are spending a fortune on behalf of Mr. Gillum because the DNC is trying to build up their “Obama coalition” base of identity politics — particularly among black voters. Democrats are desperate for increased voter turnout and they hope that this would be key. However, the predominant minority group for identity politics is Latin American — and Cuban Americans tend to be more conservative anyway. If Democrats could only manage 47% of the vote in the 2016 presidential election — despite spending a fortune in advertisement (triple of what Trump spent) that bombarded television every day — then I don’t think that a relatively inexperienced, little known and very liberal political candidate Andrew Gillum will be able to top that.

Will Andrew Gillum be the Democratic nominee 2020 presidential election?

No serious candidate wants to run against a sitting president with a good economy at his back. The time to beat the GOP is in 2024. 2020 will all depend on how the economy is doing in 2020. If it is doing well then expect Trump to do well, if it is not then expect him not to do well.To leap from mayor of Tallahassee to serious presidential contender might be a bridge too far for the DNC. If I know them they will run Hillary again in 2020, and railroad the rest - until 2024 and then run a serious contender.Still strange things happen in the Democratic party or in politics in general. Only a few predicted the rise of Trump in 2015. None were taken seriously. They are still not taken seriously. The press has an ax to grind.
