What does this sentence mean? "I'm gonna get 24th-century on his ***."?
It refers to a line from the movie Pulp Fiction. Ving Rhames says ..."I'm gonna get 11th (or something) century on his....." meaning he was about to torture his former captor in a way that might have been done in medieval times. Of course, since futurama takes place in the future the reference to the 24th century is referring to a past time

No because the one creator passed away, so Matt Groening said since it wasnt just his it didnt feel right to continue. However he does have a new show coming out on Netflix pretty soon

at this time there are 6. 5 seasons of 13 episodes Plus the 4 "Specials" there were aired between season 4 and 5 ( David Tennant was busy doing theater in the uk so there were 4 Specials instead of a full season) The Specials: 1.The Next Doctor ( Christmas ) 2. Planet of the Dead 3. Waters of Mars 3. The End of Time- 2 part story- ( where the 10th Doctor Regenerates into the 11th at the end) ( plus an animated one Dreamland) Re- Rose- she returns in the 4th season the last 3 episodes and makes a very short cameo at the end of The End of Time part 2)
The Simpsons vs. South Park?
Which show do you think will be on TV longer? Now, my dream is for The Simpsons to be the longest running television show ever, but they have to go to 21-22 seasons. Now, I know that The Simpsons are 18 seasons strong and still going, but I worry about South Park, which is in it's 11th season. Even though I don't think South Park is the better show, Comedy Central doesn't look like it's going to cancel it any time soon. So, which do you think it's possible for South Park to surpass The Simpsons?
Would season 11 of Friends be possible, or a movie?
A movie is a definite non starter. A season 11 is feasible but there is little enthusiasm from the cast or writers. David Crane said a few weeks ago he's not interested whilst earlier this year Jennifer Aniston said she'd only do it if the other main cast were up for it. One possibility is to have a series featuring their children but this seems only a pipe dream at present.
Is it safe to assume that time-travel will never exist because nobody has come back from the future to give us the technology?
Let's assume it's physically possible to travel backwards in time...Every one forgets the earth is a spaceship traveling through the heavens..Some Astrophysics 101:The earth is orbiting the sun at a fast speed.The Sun is orbiting the Milky way galaxy at an even faster speed.The Milky Way galaxy is moving relative to the center of the known universe at an even faster speed...So relative to any point in time and space in the universe - you are currently traveling at at least thousands of miles every minute..If you traveled back in time just a few seconds, without teleporting to where the earth was, actually traveling when you go back in time... Going back in time one second - you'd end up miles away from where you started.Travel back in time a couple hours or more? You find yourself in the exactly same place, but in the past, before the earth / sun / milky way system got there, you'd have to wait in the dark cold of space until the earth happened to run into you (if for some reason, when you travel back in time your momentum doesn't come with you; actually the earth probably wouldn't catch up to you because you would be moving yourself..)So if you want to go back and see the first black president of the USA inaugurated - you would not only have to go back in time to 2008, but also travel a millions of miles into space where the earth was in 2008.Time travel is probably the easy part, compared to calculating exactly where you need to land and actually getting there as you travel through time.
