Will Two Bad Cheat Days Cause Weight Gain

Will i gain weight if i have a cheat day?

So far I've been eating very healthy and exercising every day for a week and i haven't seen much of a change but I know that's normal, I'm wondering if i have one cheat day will I gain weight? I doubt it but I'm just making sure(: thank you~

Will a huge cheat day make me gain a lot of weight?

I see a lot of talk about calorie deficit and losing weight and gaining weight eating more calories that you burn.I will be controversial here and say that a calorie is not a calorie and that they are metabolized differently by the body. Protein, Carb and fat a process differently by the body. The Atkins diet and other low carb high fat diets do work in helping people drop lots of weight. I am not saying they are good or bad, but the research has shown that people can eat lots of fat calories and still lose weight. The question is why?The magic hormone is Insulin, it is spikes in insulin that causes the excess to be stored in the adipose or fat cells. Simple carbs and excess protein causes this spike and is the stuff that makes us fat. However, fat is metabolized differently and does not cause the same insulin spike. This is why eating many small meals a day really works because it keeps the insulin levels very stable. The key to weight loss and keeping fat off from a nutrition perspective is to keep the insulin level and eat mostly complex carbs that are absorbed slower into the blood stream. So now to answer you question on eating all that stuff on your cheat day, it if will make you fat. It will not make you fat, however if you use intermittent fasting, you can eat a 400–500 calorie healthy meal and then eat whatever you want the next day and you will not affect you fat stores.Dr. Varady in her research (see the video below) talks about her research.I give some alternate fasting protocols with my Intermittent Fasting Tips. And you won’t get fat on your cheat day. :)

Can two days of bad eating make you pick up weight?

Yes.. Probably not much. I could easily see a calorie surplus of 7–10000 cals = 2 or 3 lbs. I do a wine 3 day event each year and I normally come back with around 3kg extra weight about half of which is additional weight as opposed to weight from food and liquid just passing through so to speak.

Will I gain fat from a cheat day?

Instead of a cheat day have a cheat meal, eat everything and anything you want in only one sitting and then resume your diet like normal, I usually do this around 7:00 PM after I've gone to the gym. In one sitting I eat 32oz of Ben & Jerrys, 3 Fillet O Fish, variety of sushi & drink 2 bottles of Corona. I only consume a maximum of 2 bottles of alcohol no more then that and only on my cheat mealsInstead of having vast amounts of calories throughout the day why not have it in one sitting, so in one sitting you'll be having 5,000-6,000 then 12,000 or 15,000 throughout the whole day.  If your still worried about gaining weight pick a training day with the heaviest work load, which for me is legs and train like you've never trained go all out but keep your god damn form tight bro, then as your glucose levels are low and your body is in need of protein have your cheat meal so you actually benefit from it.There are conclusive studies that prove cheat meals actually boost your metabolism and it keeps you from going insane on such ferocious diets.5 Ways Cheat Meals Can Improve Your Body!Science Says Cheat Meals Actually Help You Lose Weight

I cheated on my diet two days in a row!?

Is it ok to cheat on your diet two days in a row? I atw one bad meal each day for two day because if emergency. Is it ok? Im freaking out and feeling real guilty

How much does having one cheat day a week affect weight loss?

This was my before and after pic from a few weekends ago. I went 20 straight days eating healthy, no cheat days, no cheat meals, nothing. I had been plateauing around 157–159 lbs. and finally broke through. On Saturday, I had the following cheat day.Homemade egg and cheese omelet2 waffles1 protein shakePopcornPenn Station Chicken Parmesan, fries, and lemonade1 chocolate dipped ice cream cone from Dairy QueenGiovanni's pizza and cheese sticks Half a box of vanilla wafers3 mini size chocolate pieces1.5 powdered donuts 5 Miller LitesWhen I woke up the next morning, I stepped on the scale and showed a 7.4 lb wight gain, alas the after pic. That was 18 days ago. Unfortunately, I have eaten bad about 5 or 6 days in the last 18 days so my progress has been super slow getting back down to where I was. However, it’s almost impossible for me to tell a difference in how I look between weighing 153 lbs and 158 lbs. Unless you are competing at shows or your weight affects your athletic performance, a 5–7 lb. increase/decrease isn’t enough to really show a huge difference, most of the time. There are exceptions of course but generally speaking, it’s not going to make a difference. My final point would be that weight loss is a long term journey. As long as you are eating healthy and doing the right things the majority of the time, you will get to where you want to go as long as you do not quit. If you let a cheat day derail you and turn it into a cheat month and you fall off the wagon, you’re done. If you just accept (and enjoy) your cheat meal and then the next day go right back to eating right, you’ll be just fine!Hope that helps!

I’m on a calorie deficit and had two cheat days in a row? First night was 400 cals over and second night was 600 cals over, how much damage is that? How many weeks worth of exercise and eating good does it ruin?

Hey buddy listen, calm down, relax, you are just a human. The only persons who should be worried this much about their calorie intake are professional bodybuilders.Note: Working out and bodybuilding should be fun. if you are doing it under pressure or because someone else wants, chances are you will eventually quit.If you are still interested in knowing how much effort you have just wasted is given below.A=Calorie intake(current)+1000(400+600)B=Calories burned dailySince you are in calorie deficit diet,B should be greater than A (B>A always) orB-A>0(B minus A should be greater than zero).for ex.1.Suppose you used to eat 2000 calories and burned 3000,daily.Since you had a cheat meal, therefore 2000+1000=3000which means that cheat meal didn’t do any damage, other than your workout of that day was not much appreciated by your body(there’s a reason why i didn’t said that your workout was useless).2. Suppose you used to eat 2000 calories and burn B=2500 calories per day.So you had a cheat meal of 1000 calories. So your total calories are now A=3000.Using the formula,B-A>02500–3000>0-500>0(i am not good at maths, don’t know how to solve it further)Which means that you have gained 500 calories. So to get that off, there are three things you can doa-> Increase no. of calories you burn, for example,if you start burning 100 calories more on a daily basis, you will be back in 5 days.b->Decrease your calorie intake(not recommended,p.s: I would have definitely choose this method along with the first one,if I was you,a few years back, but not now)c-> It will eventually wear off, just don’t keep on focusing it.Now some points i would like to tell you,Fitness is not a destination, its a way of life.(don’t read it as a quote, try to understand what it means, its not just about diet and stuff,it covers for everything related to working out)Rome wasn’t built in a day. There going to be ups and downs.Stress and tension prevents fat loss.Cheat meal once in a while is good/ok but having them too often is not good.

If I maintain a low carb diet for 6 days and have a cheat day on day 7 will that cause fat loss assuming I exercise 5 times a week?

YES! This is a great strategy for fat loss. Here’s why…What you are describing is considered cyclical Keto dieting and I’ve used it to drop 22 pounds. Here’s what happens when people diet to long:Suppress Leptin LevelsSuppress Thyroid LevelsBy having a chest day at the end of the week you end up resetting these hormones in the body and therefor boost metabolic rate. Here are 2 Examples Of Cyclical Ketogenic DietingEvening Post Workout Carbs – The goal is to eat a high fat, moderate protein diet everyday at the start of your day. Towards the end of your day, the best time to consume carbohydrates is after resistance training between 3-7 p.m. which will increase muscular insulin sensitivity, specifically, high glycemic carbs. How many grams of carbs you should consume will all depend on your goals, but I would recommend anywhere between 300-500 grams.Once A Week Cheat Day – This method are for guys who are above the 12-15% body fat range and desire to drop fat quickly while maintaining muscle mass. Basically you’ll start your week with a high fat, moderate protein diet ultra low carb diet. You should only consume 30-50 grams of carbs towards the end of your day, after resistance training between 3-7 p.m. Continue this regimen for seven days. On your seventh day, you will continue to have your high fat, moderate protein diet for the first part of your day, as mentioned above. However, this time instead of consuming 30-50 grams of carbs after training, you’ll consume as many carbs as possible until bed time. After your 4-6 hour re-feed day, you’ll revert to the high fat, moderate protein low carb diet for another seven days, only consuming 30-50 grams of carbs post p.m. training. For more cheat day tricks to avoid fat spill-over and get a flatter belly, please see more at: Carb Cycling Tricks For a Flatter Belly
