There are many fashionable earthy shades to choose from. It has been reported that tests have shown the colors of light green, khaki, and tan to be the some of best biting insect repellents as far as clothing choices. It has also been reported that most biting flies are attracted to dark colors like blue and especially black. White is an obscene color choice and I don't know what studies have to say about yellow but yellow is an obscene color as well. Red is an an obscene color too and mostly likely falls into the dark color category. Bright colors like yellow, red, white, purple and blue do not blend in with the environment, can often be seen from miles away and contribute to a crowded feeling. Remember that your presence can negatively affect the enjoyment of others who seek solitude. Out of sight out of mind. Remember: cover as much of your skin as possible.

I noticed that everyone is posting fashion recommendations concerning thinner/lankier men. My boyfriend is of a more muscular, stout, chubby figure and his body type was new to me (compared to all of my past lankier boys) and presented a challenge numerous times because, quite frankly, I disliked the outfits he wore when we first met. I have since then set out on a mission to create a stylish wardrobe for him and, in my opinion, have succeeded. So all of this advice is relatively directed to more masculine, stout men.* Avoid white/bright colors, lean more towards black: Unless you have a fierce urge to stand out and take fashionable risks, black/toned down should be your first choice. It slims your figure and, let's be honest, looks good on just about anyone.*Coordinate Colors: If you do choose to go for a more colorful wardrobe, make sure the colors match. (ex: brown shirt, white pants... no) You generally don't want to make an outfit combine more than 2-3 colors. I would recommend 2 just for ease and a less cluttered look. (ex: sweater with black print/stripes, black shoes! draw matching color from the most prominent piece of your outfit)* Don't follow all fashion trends for the sake of fashion: My chubby, masculine boyfriend would most likely look quite ridiculous in a small feathery scarf as depicted in one of the previous answers. Even a fitted denim jacket would be weird. Make sure what you're wearing MATCHES the vibe you give off as a person and your personal style preference. * Don't try to wear all things super fitted: So what if you're a tad chubby or overweight. New sneakers with colors that are different. I'm tall, tan, and in shape 6'0 ft. tall. I gained healthy weight. (muscles). And I haven't seen my ex in a while, so I'm hoping that will attract her back if not, I always have a back up plan. But, does that work for you lady Caps?
Why do lots of women wear sneakers without socks?
I often wondered this, too, growing up. Boys were expected to wear socks and girls had a lot more leeway regarding that issue. Eventually, i realized the answer was essentually that the types of shoes that women/girls traditionally wore weren't really made for the inclusion of socks in mind, since they were formfitting against the skin. Women also tend to wear sandals a lot more than men and pump/court shoes which you DON'T (typically) wear with socks.I know a lot of people champion the so-called "no show" craze, but the youth today fail to realize that it's a very recent invention in its present form. Aside from the little pompom socks we had in the 70s, nothing else like them existed until the last two decades.Yet, when it really comes down to it all, it's ultra sexy and gives the viewer that she's a freewheeling girl with a devil-may-care attitude who's not afraid show off her sensual ankles.

Are boyish girls not attractive? Should I change?
I'm 100% straight girl, but I do share my appreciation about beautiful women. Everyone's first impression of me is that I'm a tomboy. But they say that I have the face and the body, I just need to clean up and act like a girl. Also, they say I should stop punching guys, because I punch like a guy. I walk like I'm off to beat somebody and dress like a guy, (I wear t-shirts, jeans and sneakers). But they're fit and show my curves, so I guess that's feminine enough. The reason (I think) why I walk like I'm off to beat somebody is because I'm always on my earphones. I always listen to seasons in the abyss whenever I walk so I guess that is where the aggression comes from since I really can't head bang on the sidewalk. My boyishness got to the point where my best friend was surprised I walked into the ladies room because she forgot that I was a girl. I've had my share of admirers (just 2 actually and they say I'm tougher than the other one), and it's not even because I'm pretty. They said I'm nice to talk to. I don't know how to feel about that. It's just that a lot of people say that I'm pretty (It sort of got to my head) but I just don't feel it. A lot of you will say that that makes me self-absorbed, it does which I hate and I try very hard not to be self-absorbed. Frankly, I don't know what I want. But I know I like t-shirts and sneakers. But I don't play video games, I suck at them. I just hate frilly, colorful clothes. I loathe dresses and skirts. I would even consider stabbing someone with a high heel if they were to force me to wear them. Unless they're heeled combat boots. I would wear them. But I like make-up, I just don't wear them and I like the edgy, dark make-up not the colorful ones. Should I change myself? or just let myself be? should I at least tone it down? what should I wear then? I still won't wear frilly and colorful clothes.
