Will Working Out Make Hair Loss Better Or Worse

Does working out at the gym improve hair loss problem?

Simple answer, no. Working out will not improve your hair loss predicament. It will however turn your hair loss ‘problem’ into less of a problem. What working out would do for you is it would make you more confident. Lifting weights and cardio training is a lifestyle and as well as training the body, you train the mind. For example, your executing dumbbell curls and have done 7 repetitions, your mind tells you that you've done enough, but you know that your body can take more. Working out also has a social aspect that will get you interacting with others which can make you forget about your hair loss problem. To sum up, working out can't improve hair loss. It will help you to become more comfortable and confident with yourself as you go through hair loss though. I recommend going for a short hair style or a style that reduces the appearance of loss of hair, there are others more experienced than myself in this regard.

Working out causes hair loss? What to do?

Weight lifting doesn't cause hair loss, total myth. I had the exact same concern.. I actually went to the doctor (which I never do).. He asked, is your dad bald or have some balding, I said yes, is your grandpa balding, yes, ask your grandpa about your great grandpas hair, and he was bald.

For me, the case was genetics. I have like a hardcore widows peak, I just learnt to embrace it, some girls dig it, some don't. Everyone has their issues. My suggestion would be rogaine, at least try something. Keep lifting though, that's exercise.

I ended up wearing a lot of beanies and hats.. You aren't alone dude just embrace it lol

Working out, deadlifting, squatting = hair loss?

is this true

I read when working out, especially squatting and deadlifting, you get a massive testosterone spike, this is converted to DHT which affects hair?

Any help?

Does Working Out / Exercising at the gym causes hair loss?

I've been working out since September of last year, but I've only really starting working out on a consistent basis (3 times per week) since January. Oddly enough, I find that my hair has thinned out, on the top of my head, considerably over the past five months. I already have a little bit of a receding hairline, but it's not noticeable at all, but now that my hair around it is thinning out, I'm beginning to look noticeably balding.

I know male pattern baldness is unpreventable, but I find that it's pretty coincidental that my hair overall is thinning out at the same time as I began to seriously work out.

Exercising DOES increase testerostone (DHT) in your body, but does it ever increase it enough to accelerate hair loss this rapidly? I'm not taking anything (supplements, drugs, medication) at all. I am working out au naturel. Has anyone ever had this experience, or know of anyone who had this happen to them?

Does joining gym causes hair loss?

Long Story ShortEver wondered about the side effects of proteinshakes? One hair loss expert says that ingredients contained in your favourite powdered drink increases testosterone, triggering the chemical DHT and accelerating the balding process.Long StoryIf you chug protein shakes around the clock, it’s time to get scared stupid. In recent years, Dr Thomy Kouremada-Zioga, Hair Transplant Surgeon at The Private Clinic of Harley Street, has noticed a worrying trend: she reports that hair loss amongst men has increased dramatically, particularly in those in their twenties and thirties. Why? Dr Kouremada-Ziga thinks it’s because they drink protein shakes. Indeed, 70% of the men who visit her say that they are users of the stuff.“Protein shakes will very often contain growth hormones such as Creatine and DHEA, which not only increase muscle mass, but also increase testosterone levels in the bloodstream,” says Dr Kouremada-Ziga. “Testosterone produces a chemical known as DHT, which actually contributes to baldness when the hair follicles become exposed too much. Sadly, this is something that most men are unaware of, until they notice that their hair loss has already become more apparent.”But she is careful to say that protein shakes don’t actually cause hair loss. “They do, however, accelerate hair loss for those men who suffer with androgenetic hair loss or alternatively, those who are predisposed to balding, as many men are.”If you are one of these men, her advice is to kick the protein shake habit and instead get your protein fix from high-protein food, such as chicken, fish and eggs. Although damaged hair follicles won’t be able to recover, if you stop drinking protein shakes then your hair loss should slow down again.Oh, and you might want to stop benching too – according to Dr Kouremada-Ziga, weight-lifting also increases testosterone levels, leading to a similar hair loss effect. She recommends avoiding excessive weight-lifting and doing more cardio instead, which can actually reduce levels of DHT in the blood stream.

Oh god...

No.Whey protein is absolutely safe, and you will not harm yourself even if you tried to. The only possible way for whey protein to be bad for you is that powder is something else than whey protein..So basically, there is no way.

You've choosen well.It is a good protein.Among top proteins around. Regardless of your age it is safe.

Only experienced bodybuilders will usually tell you first and foremost nutrition has to be top knotch, and then the supplements. You teenagers usually forget about nutrition, and without it no supps will give you the results you want...Also 17 is a period when your natural testosterone level is as high as those who are in 30 and use steroids...so you will grow easily, even without whey. But if you can afford it go for it of course.

Can x-ray cause hair loss . . .?

last summer i worked to a hospital and i was exposed to x-ray. of course i was wearing protective suit over my body but it is my hair i have a problem with. i put a rinse/colour in my hair like a month b4 i started working in the hospital. during the time i worked at the hospital my hair was in mircrobraids or plaited in extensions and when i loose these microbraids out i notice my hair was waaaaay shorter than it was! i cud not believe it because i wore my hair in microbraids plenty times and this has never happened.

my boyfriend said maybe it was the x-ray which caused my hair to drop off like that as it happens with cancer patients who go for chemo.

is this true? has this ever happened to anyone??

i had the microbraids in for 4 weeks only and like i said its the first time it happened and plus that was the first and last time i put rinse/colour in my hair.

also i am a pre-med student and i was in different operating rooms and they had to do an x-ray on the persons they were operating to check see how they were doing. so it wasnt like i accidently was exposed to the x-ray.
