•1 GB RAM
•At least 6.5 GB of hard drive space with at least 1 GB additional space for custom content
•128 MB Video Card with support for Pixel Shader 2.0

FOR WINDOWS VISTA
•Windows Vista (Service Pack 1)
•2.4 GHz P4 processor or equivalent
•1.5 GB RAM
•At least 6.5 GB of hard drive space with at least 1 GB additional space for custom content
•128 MB Video Card with support for Pixel Shader 2.0

Can I play sims 3 on the windows surface?

Well it depends on whether you have the surface RT or the surface pro, on the surface pro you will be able to run the full PC version, but on the RT you will not, unless you find an app for it in the app store for the surface RT.

Sorry if you have the RT :/

and if you do not know which one you have, lets just say that an RT is 300-500 dollars and a pro is usually 700-1000 dollars.

Will my Sims 3 work on my Windows 8 laptop?

i think the problem is you need to update the sims 3 game had the same problem antiviruses have nothing to do with the game or its operation unless you download the game illegally which you said you got it off origin so that is irrelevant the biggest thing you need to run the game is a compatible graphics card and a good 8 gigs of ram i have a nvidia gforce 320m graphics card and 4 gigs of ram the base games works great just on its own but i have all the stuff, expansion and custom content installed so my laptop struggles on high graphics setting i think what might be going on is you need to install the game and then download the updates for it if you just have the base game you only need to update for that you dont need to update for anything else you may also need some extra drivers like directx 9 or higher which should be on the computer already but id check that as well if you find the laptop freezes when trying to open the game you can download the game updates by looking for a super patch multiregion update just go to google and do a bit of searching its not hard to find i usually get the updates from softonic i think its called oh and make sure your graphics card gets updates to i know it can be frustrating for all the sims good points it certainly can be annoying with its countless bugs and glitches so you kinda have to do some research to understand how to fix bypass any problems but the net is good for all that

How do you install mods for the Sims 3 on Windows 8?

There's a lot more to installing mods than deleting your cache files - that's normally just done as a precaution or as part of troubleshooting a problem. The files are supposed to re-appear as the game re-builds them each time they're deleted. Those files are where the game stores information about which mods you have installed, so they can be deleted when new mods are put in your Packages folder, but will always re-appear and are meant to be there. As long as you have mods or custom content installed, they can't be deleted permanently.

Installing mods on Windows 8 is exactly the same as on Windows 7 in terms of where the files go. The easiest way to set everything up (or check you've got everything in the right place if you've already done it) is to follow this guide: http://www.modthesims.info/wiki.php?titl... - it takes you through the process of downloading a ready-made Framework pack that contains everything you need to set up and test your package file installation.

If you had other questions about installing custom content, (particularly package files, since game mods are always in that format) then check out the CC Basics guide here: http://www.modthesims.info/wiki.php?titl... - that explains everything you'll need to know about custom content, including programs required to extract the files, compatibility issues, and how to remove content once it's installed :)

How do you have more than 8 sims on the sims 3?

i'm looking for a hack were i can have more than 8 sims on a lot. I'm NOT interested in hacks for combining households because i want to be able to have more babies and i 9.99 out of 10 times have triplets so after 2 sets i can't move babies out alone and i can't move them out with their father because then i wouldn't have anyone to 'woohoo' with. And moving my husband and babies several times would take forever with my computer's tantrums.

I can't see the inside of any lot for The Sims 3?

I have Windows 8 and I've been having CC and mods on my computer for the longest and nothing like this has happened until now.
Recently I saved my progress before knowing that I couldn't view the inside of my house or any other indoor lot. I DO NOT want to restart from the jump, so I WOULD LOVE to know how I can save ALL of my sims progress from not only this sim household, but for many others.
Also, if I saved beforehand backup files before this glitch, can I restore the damages?

Is forza horizon 3 compatible with windows 8?

Seems pretty random, but sometimes even though it says compatible with windows 10 it means like windows 10,8, and 7. Any clarification would be good because I don t want to get the game and then not be able to play it.

MY SIMS 3 KEEPS CRASHING!?

Hi,

When my Sims 3 game stopped working ( after I uninstalled Sims 3 Supernatural ), I had tried the DEP, as well, which didn't work for me either. My Sims 3 loading screen was crashing repeatedly, even after I've re-installed my base game and my Expansion Packs. I've tried everything possible, and I did heavy, heavy, heavy research on Google. A lot of people had the same problem as me, but, the DEP always seemed to work for others, but not me.

So, I hope I can help you. :)

So first, I suggest you to remove any Sims 3 mods or custom content, and restart your entire Windows 8 laptop. And I'm guessing the Windows 8 laptop is not the problem, for you said the crashing began after you installed the 3 Expansion Packs.

After you removed the custom content and restarted your computer, test to see if it works. I'm not sure which part of the Sims 3 is crashing ( the game, the loading screen, Create-A-Sim, etc. ) for you were not too specific, but I'm pretty sure this solution will work for all crashes.

Okay, so go to your Library ( the "folder" icon where it shows your Pictures, Music, Downloads, Documents, etc. ).

Go to your Documents.

Go to the Electronic Arts folder.

Go to The Sims 3 folder.

There, you will see a few files. Some are .package files, some are .mdmp files. Ignore the .mdmp files. That(those) are(is) not the file(s) that are corrupting. Most likely the .package files are causing the crashing. In my case it was.

So, remove all the files I am about to list below,

simCompositorCache.package
socialCache.package
CASPartCache.package
compositorCache.package
scriptCache.package

and... you're done... right? Nope. That's what I thought. I loaded my Sims 3 game and my loading screen continued to crash. I was SO frustrated. So... I decided to fiddle around and check the files to see if I missed any files to delete. So, go back to the Documents>Electronic Arts>The Sims 3 folder, and re-delete those files that I listed above. They automatically restore themselves when you load the Sims 3.

So, in the Sims 3 folder, click on the DCCache folder, and remove the "dcdb0.dbc" file ONLY. Restart your game, and your Sims 3 should be working again.

If not, then check out the link I posted in the "source" below! Sorry for the long post!

Hope I helped, hon!

:)
