Windows Laptop Hp Pavillion Help

Hp pavilion laptop dv7-1448dx sound not working after windows 7 upgrade..Help please!?

I upgraded to windows 7 and for some reason the sound won't work. I have a little sound bar that is touch screen at the top of the keyboard and the light shows the sound is off. Normally i'd touch it to turn it on, but it won't do anything. I checked if my drivers and things are enabled and they all are. I can plug headphones in and hear the audio, but nothing will come out of the speakers. I'd had troubles with the sound lately too but the sound still came out, so I don't know what to do...anyone know what I can do? I'm desperate!!

When the LAN wire is connected to my HP Pavilion G6 Windows 7 64 Bit laptop, an orange and white light glows on either side of the port, but the browsers cannot connect to the internet. What is the solution?

It is really impossible to answer this question with the information you posted. Things to consider:If you connect another device to that ethernet wire, can it connect to the Internet?Dos your laptop get an IP address - if you do ipconfig, do you see a gateway and DNS server?Did you check if there is a firewall that may be blocking you?If your router works with other laptops, call HP support and they may be able to help you.

Can I install Windows 7 in my HP pavilion zd8000?

Hello,

Before you upgrade, I recommend that you download and run the free Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor (http://windows.microsoft.com/upgradeadvi... It helps find potential issues with your computer’s hardware, devices, or programs that might affect installing Windows 7, and gives recommendations on what to do.

I hope this helps.

Please help! I have an hp pavilion laptop dv6700. Error message is Operating System Not found. What to do?

i would suggest you reinstall your hard drive as well. there seems to be some damage in it. you can do so with a reinstallation disk, a recovery partition, or a recovery disk. i would also suggets you back up your files before you reformat as well. reformatting will wipe everything off of it so make sure you back up your files.

you can use a hard drive enclosure that allows you to connect to the hard drive without going through the operating system. you are able to copy and paste the files you need from your bad operating system to a new hard drive so you save the files. i use a bt-300 by topmicrousa that i would also suggest you check out. then reformat the hard drive, and recopy the files.

if you have any other questions feel free to send me an email and ill do my best to help \(^_^)/

HP laptop keeps restarting. Help?

Eventually you might need to fdisk, reformat your HP Pavilion dv6 laptop hard disk clean and reinstall windows 7 64-bit. Before going that route, try following simple fixes to see if the problem goes away.

Remove the battery and charger/ac adapter/power cord from your HP Pavilion dv6 laptop, press and hold the power button for 20 seconds to discharge any residual current inside the laptop. This clears your RAM and is like a hardware reset. Replace the battery and charger/ac adapter/power cord and turn your laptop on.

Boot in "safe mode". As it starts up press F8, the computer ask you if you'd like to start in safe mode. Highlight "safe mode" and press enter. See if your HP Pavilion dv6 laptop works normal.

If it runs normal now, do the following maintenance and tune up,

Uninstall unnecessary programs and applications.

Scan with a antivirus program

Scan with a spyware/malware program

DEFRAG C:

CHKDSK C:

Clean up and repair registry problems with registry repair software of your choice

If the problem persists, did you check if it could be your HP Pavilion dv6 laptop power cord or power source problem? Defective or insufficient power supply might cause error messages that are misleading. Take the battery out and power on your laptop with the charger only. Make sure your laptop power jack and charger plug tip are securely connected. Did you notice the power jack loose? You can find laptop power jack on ebay. Fixing and soldering the power jack requires professional skill though. The charger green/blue LED should be on. If not, replace the defective charger. HP Pavilion dv6 battery charger lifespan is limited and does not last forever, consider buying a lifetime warranty charger online from company like www.topmic.com
