With Very Small Letters I Need Bigger Print

How can I make my picture bigger and print it out big?

Once you have made the picture bigger, select print and when the menu comes up, select "Fit to Page" and the pic will fill the page.

Just make sure that before making the picture bigger, selct a letter size blacnk page and opent the picture in there. Now enlarge it to fit the page. Save and print from that page.

How do I enlarge the print? It's too small.?

You need to select the text or font size in the application you are printing from, not in the printer driver. The font size is controlled by your printing application, it is not a feature of the printer driver.
To change the font size, refer to your application's guidance on a font size

Example: if you wanted to print a word document, you would go to the taskbar on the top and change the font settings prior to printing

Or you can try doing this

Press Ctrl+p to print

or

Open up the what you want to print

Right click and highlight either part or the whole area you want printed

Right click the highlighted area and click print preview

Change the box "As laid out on screen" to "As selected on screen" doing this will let you print all or part depending on what is highlighted

In the box Shrink to fit, change it to INCREASE or REDUCE the size font that you want to use

Click print, and go to Page Range, and make sure you add a dot to SELECT

Click print

NOTE: to turn headers and footers (Page # etc.) on or off, click the paper icon to the right of the gear icon

What's a font that looks like Times New Roman, but is smaller?

Garamond should work well. It looks similar to Times New Roman but is smaller (and in my opinion, more beautiful).

Having said that, schools, universities and colleges are usually very strict about format, including things like word count or number of pages, margin size, spacing between lines, font type and font size. If you are just printing this out on paper and you're teacher is not reading it on the computer (where she/he might automatically check these things) you'd probably get away with garamond but not verdana or arial because they are too different in appearance and style from Time New Roman.

Children's large print books vs. Adult small print books?

Kids need to have the words spaced out like that because they are new to reading. Not all adults have bad eyesight. I refuse to read large print books as they annoy me. Also, most adult books come in large print. My library had a huge section for large print. Also, if you can't see well anymore it may be a good idea to get your eyes checked as you may need glasses.

How can I make the font size on Quora bigger?

Standard answer:Most of the other answers have rightly mentioned that you can change the device settings to increase the overall font size of the Android system. This way you can increase Quora app’s text size as well.Issues with that:When me and my wife were volunteering with seniors at a community center to help them with technology, we realized that many of them have issues seeing the smaller fonts. And Android only allows to scale the font up to maximum 1.3 times the default size, which might not be enough for some. One another issue that we have observed is that for some (like my mom) it is inherently difficult to remember what settings in Android system can be changed from where. It might come naturally to the new generation but might not be the case with previous generations.Potential solution:We came up with a small Android widget that allows to change the font size of the Android system beyond what is allowed by system settings.Advantages:One can increase or decrease font size of system to a comfortable size right from the home screen. It looks like a familiar “volume” button of a T.V remote. It doesn’t take much space on screen.Comparison showing how an answer looks with the default size, 1.3x (which is the largest allowed setting), 1.5x (using the widget)Where to get it from?Increase Font Size Widget - Change Sizes Simply - Android Apps on Google PlayHope it helps someone someday. Any sort of feedback is welcome.

I've heard that reading with a bigger font will make eyes lazy, and small will cause strain. Which is better for the eyes, a bigger font or smaller font?

Surprised that nobody actually mentioned some real-life examples, including size, face and leading. If there is not enough leading (space between lines) the reading experience is poor regardless of the font size. Adequate leading is based upon the font being used. The same leading can be perfect for one font, but either too tight, or too loose, for another font.Research has shown that serif fonts, in spite of being more complex than sans-serif, are easier to read, perhaps because we are so conditioned to them. All newspapers, most books, and most magazines use a serif font. For readability a spec like this is quite comfortable:11 pt Minion on 13 pt leading, with a column width of about 3 inches. As the column gets wider it becomes increasingly tiresome to read. I’m sure we have all seen batshit crazy web pages of text stretching across the entire screen that are virtually unreadable.World-class publications are quite strict about readability and rarely make an error in this department. Look at the New York Times or The New Yorker magazine.Lastly, the web has made it easy to set your text against ridiculous backgrounds, or to make the font a color other than black. The recent popularity of grey has unfortunately spread to the world of typography, putting criminally hard-to-read text, often at small sizes, in front of our tired eyes. Can you imagine buying a novel typeset with grey letters? Even Quora is guilty, as these words you are reading are grey, not black. Perhaps a case can be made for doing this, but it really boils down to legibility and reading comfort.I know this is hopelessly dated but black letters on white is always best! Thanks for reading.
