Did you know that deer don't feel pain like humans do?
I'd add this on to a similar posted question, but every time I directly answer one of the author's questions stating that adults should not hang out with non-related minors he blocks me for a few weeks. Yes, deer have similar basic neverous systems to human, but they are also stupid animals with no congnitive ability and no self-awareness and no emotions. Their only response for a deer to pain is the standard mammal fight or flight instict. Humans on the otherhand, in addition to fight of flight, are thinking ahead to the consequences of the pain and injury, and that can greatly effect how one feels the pain. A human can endore great pain and even a mortal injury, if they believe their cause is honorable. Or humans can feel a sense of loss or sustained fear, under pain, which increases suffering. How a human feels pain has a lot more to do with how his higher-level processes are handling it. Yes, deer to feel pain and suffer when injured, but they also suffer in the cold dead of winter. I don't see a campaign to go out and put coats on the deer to keep them warm. I believe that is more accurate to say that "Deer Feel Pain Like a Rat" and not like a human. What do you think?
Will humans ever be extinct?
Will humans ever become extinct, just like the dinosaurs did. And if humans do become extinct, will other life forms exist. I'm wondering this because, back then, dinosaurs ruled the world, they became extinct, and now humans rule the world. ...Can this keep going?
Anything wrong with using animal fat to lubricate guns?
I answered a similar question not long ago; http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;... Sure organic oils break down but for some that’s a long damn time! I was going through some of our emergency supplies and found some plastic containers of cooking oil from 1986. I tried them and they were fine especially the canola oil which had the exact same consistency and flavor after all those years. Some don’t realize that rendered fat can last for many years without going bad and vegetable oils can last for decades. Minerial oils can last longer than we do. As in my previous answer I pointed out that in some places right now around the world law enforcement and military members are using cooking oil for their issue weapons including AR types of weapons. And they function just fine. The only real problem with rendered animal fats is some may have salts in them. However I have some orginal black powder guns made in the late 1700s and early 1800s that were oiled using all sorts of crap and they look and function just fine. They developed a nice patina color from being oiled over bare metal for so long. I find it funny so many cant believe people are using vegetable oils and oils from animals on modern full auto weapons in 3rd world countries. Those people simply don’t get issued modern gun oil and cleaners whenever they need it. They get their AK-47 a cleaning kit ( many times they get no cleaning kit) and ammo and that’s it. Americans have been convinced only certain manufactured oils made specifically for guns will do. That’s simply not true and history proves that. I would not be afraid of using rendered whale or bear fat if I had to in fact I tried it with only one problem; it got thick in cold weather.
Humanity is pathetic, i want to leave earth... Does anyone feel like this?
DONT READ IF U HATE LONG TEXT! Okay basically i think humanity is pathetic. Our exsistant is so petty for a number of reasons... 1) Our lack of ability to accept we are part of nature. We constant think were "special" for some god damn reason and life is all about becoming rich sucessful. MOST people buy into the media's influence and are controlled by it and our society is built upon fakeness 2) We are constantly destorying our planet. We cover our beautiful planet in concrete and metal, and look past nature. I like to stop and looka t the world unlike most people i know. Also everybody is contributing to it just by being alive... Nature activists are hipocrites, i mena just by simply eating packeted food adds to our planets problem. 3) Humanity's emotional fragility... If i ever try talking to my mum or family about these things, they call me "weird"... Im not weird im just awake, while them and most else on this planet are just wrapped up in thier own little worlds consuming the media and being predominantly selfish... 4) Our guilability... we believe everythign where told... things like the big bang theory, topics liek that... the sooner we accept we know nothing about this vast universe only THEN will we start to learn. And PLEASE spare me the "there are good sides to humanity too" because lookign at us on a whole we are pathetic! Those are some of the many reasons... im 15 i have many friends but i just act liek a "normal" teen, and i somewhat only share this with the few people who can partially grasp this. apart form that i keep it to myself. and thats why i wish i could just leave coz i feel liek i dont belong.. anyone else like this?
How would we tackle an alien invasion?
We'd lose. Horribly horribly badly. There's ZERO chance of us winning or even posting a threat. We'd likely not even know we were invaded. Stop for a moment to consider the technology needed to traverse the stars. They would be orders of magnitude more advanced than us. They'd be more advanced than us than we are of the Sentinelese people. If we sought to invade those islands with our full military force, all at once, every nation on planet earth . . . that MIGHT compare to the degrees of technological disparity I'm talking about.We wouldn't even know we were invaded. Stop thinking "Independence Day" and/or "V" and/or "Skyline" or any other fictional account. Just like the Sentinelese people have no ability to imagine our technology and prepare for or predict or counter such an invasion, we too would have no ability to imagine, predict or counter an alien invasion from such an advanced species.I've already stated this, by any point in time that an alien race would traverse the stars and invade us, they'd have long since learned with 100% accuracy how to create micro (or nano) contagions. They'd simply be able to release a probe with a few hundred different strains of whatever, that target us, or all animals or all biology and begin wiping us out. We'd simply think some horrible plague had happened and would be gone within short order. We'd be extinct before any detectible ship came within 100 million kilometers of Earth. A small, capsule-sized probe, dropped over any part of the planet and winds to carry the contagion to the biosphere.Aliens capable of traversing the stars would be patient and not in any rush. They'd not need be. They'd simply annihilate us with biology. And then wait for us to die.
Does NATO stand a chance in a war against Russia?
That depends what kind of war. Russia has quite different military doctrines than the USA and NATO in general.If Russia invaded Europe, according to old Cold War plans, it’d be a defeat for them. They simply lack the necessary force. They are not prepared for this kind of force projection, their army is not designed to face NATO forces as an attacking force. If a Russian invasion ever occured, it’d be in the Baltic states or somewhere else in the buffer zone. In any case, it’ll be very limited and the Russians will try to achieve a status quo before major NATO forces drive them out or their little adventure escalates into a worldwide shitstorm.But if NATO invaded Russia, that’ s a whole different story. In this case, NATO would very well lose. The Russians are well prepared to defend their Motherland, and they have strong traditions doing so. Not to mention that NATO also lacks the necessary ground potential. Most likely they’d grind to a standstill somewhere around the Dnepr, and then it’s either nukes or GTFO.To summarize, a NATO-Russian war would not lead anywhere, in any case. There is no point trying to win small territories from each other while risking to lose everything. (And I am not talking only about a potential nuclear scenario: there are serious economic ties tangling the two factions to each other, and straining them would be almost as bad as bombing each others’ cities.) As neither side could invade the other’s territory and occupy enough land to cripple the opponent into submission, it’d be just a very nasty tug of war.Finally let me point out that no wars are repeated exactly as the previous one, yet military planners tend to fall into the mistake of preparing for it. In WW2, the demise of France was to prepare for trench warfare and mass attacks again, but they got mobile armies and air support. Britain still believed in the might of the battleship, just to have its ass kicked by Japan and have most of its warships locked in Scapa Flow by German submarines. Most people nowadays imagine a war between Russia and NATO as some strange mix of WW2 and Cold War plans. No it’ll never happen. Not that way.

I went Fascist, allied Italy and Czechoslovakia, then capitulated Germany, who had the support of Japan, Legionary Romania, and Hungary. So Germany lost the war by 1941 because of me, but the Allies were fighting Germany too. The Brits kept the Germans from annexing Belgium and the Netherlands immediately. They started folding and I didn't want to give the Germans an inch so I went to their aid and pushed the Germans back. In the 1941 conference, the Allies immediately liberated Poland. I annexed almost all of Germany and kept the eastern bit as a buffer state between me and the poles, who were becoming Soviet because the Allies declared war on Yugoslavia when they were in the Axis, then they joined the comintern so now the Allies and Comintern are at war. But the Soviets are refusing to push into Poland. But I digress. I brought Germany down, I should get dibs. but no. Factions who were in a separate war get to decide my victory for me.I declared war on the Allies in 1942. I didn't realize America had completed waking the giant. I goofed hard. But I invaded Great Britain and beat them in 2 months.It was a bad idea. The Americans immediately dropped 32 divisions in Poland and the Brits had 57 hiding out in Yugoslavia.Unconditional SurrenderIt exists. I promise you, but not in HoI4. It's so annoying. Let's say you're Argentina. You declare war on the UK for the Falklands and South Georgia. You take the islands. But now you have to take London to just get the two islands you have claims on.
