Would You Buy A Product That Turns Any Laptop To Touchscreen If So How Much Would You Be Prepared

Why won't Apple make a touch screen laptop and iMac while keeping the trackpad, mouse, and keyboard? This would allow work to be more enjoyable, less boring, faster, and less stressful due to the variation of inputs.

I asked this same question while working at Apple.I had a desktop (flatscreen) iMac and a MacBook Pro as two of my primary work computers.  After being "trained" to touch things by the iPhone and other touch hardware I was working on, I was always leaving fingerprints on the iMac; I didn't end up doing the same on the MacBook.I attribute the cleanliness of my MacBook screen to the fact that the touchpad is right there under your palm, and it's easier to not lose "home row" on the keyboard for the purposes of touch-typing by using the touchpad instead of the screen. This was the same reason given by the UX and the software designers.Several of us retrofit third party touch screen interfaces onto a number of iMacs.  The experience wasn't very satisfying, unless you set the software driver to do a combined "move here + click".  Even then, you ended up with finger grease all over the thing, which significantly detracted from its utility for GUI and design work, and it was really annoying when pointing things out in terminal windows, and so on.  Overall, it was not that useful, and only two of the 5 of us who had hacked up their iMacs left the touch screen enabled.Again, this was the same reason given by the UX people. The only surprising thing was the lack of a Bluetooth keyboard with a touchpad that was always in the same location relative to the spacebar, to give a laptop-like experience.  I saw several people attempting to use third party versions of these things, with little luck.  The problem came down to the ability to use the touchpad area without relocating your fingers away from their default locations for touch typing.  Something which is easy with a keyboard the size of a small laptop keyboard, but much more difficult with a full size keyboard, even if you omit the numeric keypad in the design. And yet again, the same reason for not supporting it that was given by the UX people.Don't think that these things have not been tried out internally, or using UX labs and having people actually use prototype equipment that has the features; they almost certainly have for everything you could think might be a good idea to add to an iMac or MacBook.Expect that they will be revisited in the future as well, and if something useful is found, that it will make its way into a shipping product; however, so far, it's not been useful or effective to do what you're asking them to do.

Windows 8 screen turns black after login wtf?

Like the title says, I need some help here.

I login to my computer and then the screen goes black- the only thing u can see is the cruser arrow.

I reported this to windows technical support and they basically told me they ain't gonna try to help me jus cuz my warranty supposivly ran out (ive only had it for 9 months) and that I'm on my own here.

I'm so mad that I'm ready to smash my laptop with a metal bat.

What can I do? I've never been this mad over a machine in my life.

Someone please help me, if this dosent get fixed then I'll lose so many memories and projects I'm working on.

But be careful, unhelpful info (etc. "call them again", "idk") will be reported, I don't care right now- I need real help and by typing in complete crap it jus wasting both of our time.

But somebody out there please help me! I'll give 10 points to the most helpful answer I promise.

What will I do if the screen of an iPhone 6 is unresponsive or cannot be touched? If I turn it on, it can be touched but after a few moments it cannot be touched.

It most likely has “Touch Disease”, a condition specific to the 6 Plus and the regular 6 to a lesser extent. It’s due to the touchscreen controller chips not being attached very well.Everything You Need to Know About iPhone Touch Disease, Plus FixesMy 6 Plus had this condition off-and-on for about a year and it drove me nuts. I tried a home fix that involved opening the phone and putting a piece of tape over the problematic chips, but I ended up bricking the phone. (I had been resigned to this possibility and ready to upgrade if it went wrong.)Your options are:Have an Apple Store repair it — it’s probably not worth the price on a model that old.Try the home fix — This is dicey, resellers wouldn’t accept mine after I borked it up.Just upgrade — you can most likely still get some money for your old one from resellers as long as it turns on.I’d just go with option 3 at this point, but here’s a tutorial for the DIY fix if you want to try it:

Are Kindles really worth it? Does any version provide the ability to read Quora? How good is it for reading papers with equations and diagrams?

I'm a selective reader and I work 8 hours a day on PC in office. I already have reached my quota of printed books as am into the civil services preparation and my bookshelves are overflowing. It is a boon that many of my favorite books are available in PDF but still I was unable to stare the screen more than 8 hours. Somehow I came to know about this kindle (7th Generation). Bought one for 5000 INR here Amazon. I felt like, knowing how to utilize the kindle is what more important. So let me take you for a ride, you can thank me later. Do not go with PDF.
