the two cents worth comes out a little better because they got to share what was on their heart and feel heard but if the other person really cared what the other person was thinking and the thought was really interesting and thought provoking then they both come out pretty even. i think the person who asked to hear the others thoughts should get to tell what they were thinking about too

Thanks! Do you think John made the right decision in choosing to die rather than to sign a false confession? Is it ever permissible to lie to save your life? Isn't a survivor a hero, too? What if you have a child. Does a parent have an obligation to stay alive in order to take care of his or her children? Thanks!
What are your thoughts on the Raven Paradox?
The paradox which arises is philosophy based rather than mathematical or logic based. The term equivalence can be construed differently by a philosopher, who tends to pontificate about the unknown, rather than to define aspects of existence in logical or mathematical forms. I don't believe that you will find a mathematician who would give the raven paradox a second thought. To me, it is a philosophical paradox, not a logical one. The mathematicians have solved the riddle using statistical probability relationships.

This comes to me from my friend, Wildflower. Thanks for your prayers for Gregg. He is doing good. He is in a nursing home now and has family very involved with his recovery process. He is paralyzed on the left side. He is left handed. He is fed through a feeding tube because it is difficult for him to swallow. But he is in good spirits. And is requesting continued prayer. He said we should not give up on him. The doctors prognosis is that he will continue to get better and hopefully the paralysis will eventually go away. If you are not a Christian and would prefer, please take a few moments today to reflect on what you might do in your community to assist those who are disabled. Many disabled are unable to get out of nursing facilities and would truly enjoy a visit. I spend time every month just singing with one such facility and the residents always ask me to return. It is an investment to those who have given their lives to raise children, participate in wars, ...
Can anyone give me some personal thoughts on army rotc?
I am a Army ROTC graduate and current Captain in the Army. ROTC is one of the best choices I made. The life skills I learned are not taught in any other college course. You learn about leadership, planning, and management aside from the obvious tactical and military skills. Your skills to lead people will be much higher than your peers. No where else will they give you 40 people and millions of dollars of equipment to manage straight out of college, and you will be successful in doing so as a result of your ROTC experience. Most say officers can be made, however I contest that you come to ROTC the Army or any life choice with the values and ethics you were raised with and developed yourself. If you are in line with being able to be a military officer then ROTC will polish you into becoming this. There are many different branches that you can go into. You have some choice over this, there is a competitive end of it where you will be given priority if you excel over your classmates. There is much much real world experience nowadays with the current conflicts. There are many officers who have worked with CIA directly in the pentagon and other joint assigments. Bottom line you will become a competant and proffessional person. ROTC is a great choice and I encourage you to take at least a few semesters, there is no commitment if you arent on a scholarship program. Good news now is that with the new GI Bill you will be eligible for it even you if you had a ROTC scholarship, so you will be able to pursue a Master's at some point later on. This was not available on the previous GI bill which was for enlisted only. If you are looking for CIA, go for military intelligence, you will be screen for a Top Secret clearance. All officers are screened for Secret. Good luck to you in your choice.
