Would You Read On From Here

Could you read my birth chart?

I'm not doing a reading especially here on YA, but you do have something that I've noticed in only a few other charts: The Sun, Venus, and Mercury are in three different signs* and both the Sun and Venus are exalted. This indicates difficulty integrating the personality, or, in the vernacular, putting it all together.

Mars, is also exalted, so Venus, Mercury, and the Sun are all disposed by exalted planets as are Jupiter and the Moon. This is a pretty powerful chart, at least by essential dignity. It would take some time to sort it all out. Instead of asking something so general as "a reading," you would be better off posting a question that can be answered by looking at the nativity.

*One of those charts belonged to Michelangelo. That didn't make him what he was, but it does show that being a pain in the *** isn't enough to prevent success.

GODISNOWHERE....... How would you read it ?

Looks like it says God is no where

How much can you remember from a book you read?

Very little ...after a while, if its a non-fiction book.Human mind is conditioned to remember stories and plots...and that’s the reason people rarely forget good plots/stories. Non-fiction books does not have plot so are hard to remember. It’s hard to forget “Godfather” while "Fooled by randomness" can be forgotten easily, no matter how hard you try to cling to it. Perhaps that’s the reason several self-help books convey their message/central idea via plots [E.g. "Monk who sold his Ferrari"].Even some text books series follow the same approach [E.g. "Head-first" series...their "Head-first Design Pattern" is a delight to read and easy to remember because they have represented complex software design patterns via Stories/plots]. I mostly, read non-fiction books and find it very frustrating to have forgotten everything after sometime, even if the book had profound impact on me, while I was reading it.There are few hacks/tricks that I have learned to address this problem. They have worked for me; Hope they work for you too…Here’s the list: Try to "Mark/Underline" the important concepts/ideas or Take small notes. Ensure notes or topics underlined/marked are pertinent and represent central ideas of the book and can be read/referenced under an hour. After few months or on need-basis reference/read these. Written word is hard to remember compared to pictures/videos. Sometimes there are non-fiction books that have movies or   documentaries based on them. Just watch these …most can be found on YouTube or internet. E.g. “Commanding heights” is an excellent book on economic History  and you will also find PBS documentary by the same name. Other examples are “Too big to fail”,“”Ascent of Money”, “Germs, Guns and Steel”.All major books are reviewed on Amazon thoroughly. Go through the “Most helpful reviews”. Some reviews are thorough enough to remind you of pertinent points. E.g. ‘Capital in Twenty First Century' Review by A.J. Sutter on Amazon is telling.Discuss central ideas of these books with like-minded people, who have read this book. You can be part of the internet forums that discuss a particular book.Hope this helps!! Good Luck…

Where can you read comics online for free?

The Digital Comic Museum is great. I’d also recommend Free Comics From The Golden Age - Fury Comics and Comic Book Plus - Free And Legal Public Domain Books . There’s a lot of overlap but they each have comics the others don’t and sometimes one site’s scans are far superior to another’s.

Has any one read the book 'Be here Now' by Ram Das? If yes, what did you learn from it?

I read ‘Be Here Now’ by Ram Das for the first time about two months ago, around the time I was moving into the dorms to begin my sophomore year at UCLA. Overall, it was a mind-opening book that really changed the way about how I perceive both my mind and the world around me. At the time, a lot of my so-called “joys” were based upon worldly and somewhat superficial desires - and Ram Das’s book did a lot to help me begin to change that. When I opened up ‘Be Here Now’ and started to read through the first portion of the book that describes Dr. Richard Alpert’s journey from being a professor at Harvard to finding out how to live “in the now” and journeying to India (where he was given the name Baba Ram Das by his Guru), I felt like the seeds of the philosophy being described were sown into my mind. It made me really reflect on where I was going with my life and what makes me happy, and inspired me to actively pursue daily reflection and meditation. It opened up my mind to the idea of exploration of the mind and self - I had previously been sacrificing my own thoughts and priorities in order to fulfill society’s definition of success. The next portion of the book were a series of thin brown papers with seemingly disorganized ramblings and drawings. This was probably my favorite section of the book, for it offered me many different suggestions and ideas that I could adopt into my own life in order to live more spiritually. It presented a different (at least for me) way of thinking about relationships, lifestyle, and work - the entire perspective revolved around the central idea of “Be Here Now”.The final portion of the book was entitled “Cookbook for a Sacred Life”. This section of the book gets into the details of getting started with things like Buddhism/meditation/yoga (if you’re aware of the specific types of yogas mentioned in the Bhagavad Gita for the liberation of the inner spirit, he discusses those as well). I am still re-reading this part and trying to process his suggestions fully.Overall, I would say that I only really understood maybe ~5–10% of the book, and even that much has been life-changing. I highly recommend reading this book.

"A very interesting read" What does "read" mean here? Does it mean "topic" or something else?

It's shorthand for experience of reading. Any number of factors can make what is read an interesting read. It's very much a personal thing.
