Would You Read This Story [trailer]

How do you create a trailer for Wattpad books?

Great question! Making Wattpad trailers is actually one of my favorite things to do :) Depends on the quality of the trailer and type of trailer. Here are some basic instructions and options:Make a simple one on Commaful. Add Gifs, type some text. You can then export as a video and have a nice trailer. It’s really simple and looks great (but less customized). This is particularly good if you have some images or GIFsUse a Video Editing Software (iMovie, Windows Movie Maker for the free options, Sony Vegas Pro and Final Cut Pro for premium options). You’ll want to record some video clips or use some images. If you’re using video clips, just slice the clips, and put the short clips together. You can add text and then use some presets to animate the text. You can hire or ask a friend to do it for you. A lot of people are familiar with basic video production and can make a story trailer. There usually are some people on freelance service sites like Fiverr who would be able to edit something like this for relatively cheap. Just make sure you have an example of what a story trailer looks like and share any visuals you can for the videographer to use.

What book is that student reading in the Spider-Man movie trailer?

The book is called “Of Human Bondage”(Not the same cover)I've only heard of it recently, so forgive me for incorrect details, but supposedly it's a story about somebody who goes to a new school and has to deal with being the odd one out.Basically it just parallels Peter's situation as a nice little easter egg.

Should I watch a movie trailer while I am still reading the book?

It depends. If it is a well made trailer, it will provide all of the enticement, without spoiling the plot twists and ending. Ideally, it should motivate you to jump right back into the text, and start imagining the story in cinematic terms. It should compel you to read on enthusiastically. However, nowadays, you never know what you're going to get in a film trailer. I find that with each passing year, trailers get more and more explicit, and reveal more integral plot points and story details. If you watch the recent trailer for the upcoming movie, Terminator Genisys, you will see that the preview is so extensive, it actually reveals a major plot twist, which would have been fun and surprising to experience during the movie, not beforehand. It was a real disappointment, and it makes me far less enthusiastic for its release. So like I said: it depends. If you have a visual image of what the characters look like and how sequences unfold, it may be distracting and disheartening to see a trailer come on and ruin everything you had in your head. As for me, I am a stage director, so I have an image in my head of a play, but the imagination and willingness to see it cast variously, and interpreted in many different ways. In my opinion, you have to be flexible, and understand that Hollywood will never make a film that looks exactly like the book. It can't. It's a whole new piece of art, based upon and inspired by another piece of art. Once you accept that, you'll be a whole lot happier. If you're worried about spoilers....then yes, you probably should avoid the previews. The way things are going, they'll be showing us the surprise ending in every trailer!

What do you think of the new Mortal Instruments trailer?

Exciting, brand new Mortal Instruments: City of Bones trailer! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GHlwRsl2u...

For those of you who haven't read the books, what's your opinion on the trailer? What sort of vibe do you get from it?

If you have read the books, does the second trailer meet your expectations? What do you like/ dislike about it in terms of acting, scenes, music, the focus on action rather than romance, special effects, or anything else? Will you see the movie? :-)

My only complaint is I wish Valentine had been cast a bit older. In the books, he seemed more clean cut, with a rigid, cold, calculating look. Alec and Jace aren't my favorite casting choices, but Jamie is growing on me. But overall, I think the premise and effects look great. I think the focus on the characters and the story, instead of just the romance, will make the movie appeal to a wider range of people.

Do you think that this will be successful? Does it have potential to be the next blockbuster, YA franchise or will it fail?

Do viewers like to see movie trailer breakdown videos?

I know i do.trailers can easily attract the attention of the audience.people get an idea about the movie and can decide if it is the kind of movie they would like to watch.and watching such videos also create an excitement in the viewers about the movie.they speculate about what the story could be and its good fun.and if the story turns out to be what you said it would be,you get the additional satisfaction of saying “told you!!” ;)

What are your thoughts on Rangoon's Trailer? How many stars would you give it, out of 5?

I really can't say about movie but as a fan of VB i I must go to watch this movie.He is simply awesome with his all past movies mainly Haider. I can feel the same Haider magic in trailer of Rangoon.And music is more extra ordinarily. Where you saw the use of kashmiri musical instruments (Rabab) who takes you Kashmir while listening here you can feel the touch of North East.And above all Gulzar.If i forget all (movie scripts, story, music, acting & others) Gulzar’s lyrics will take me in theatre to feel the song with beautiful picturization of North East.Have you listen “ye ishq hai “ song ??He is master.So finally i will going to movie beacuse of B&B and his heartful music and of course for Gulzar Sahab.

Would writing the trailer to your screenplay and including it in the script you send out be seen as unprofessional?

It’s not a good idea at all. You’ll come off as unprofessional and amateurish. In fact, if I were to receive a submission that included such a document, it’’s doubtful it would get read.Like one of the other answers stated - your script is good or not good. That’s all that matters now. That’s all that anyone cares about. There’s no way that some exec on the fence about your story will be swayed by a document spelling out the parts of the script he just read that you think might make a cool trailer. This might sound harsh, but here’s the reality. There are an enormous amount of screenplays written every year. 95% +/- are bad. Out of the remaining 5% a good number of those might be well written, but aren’t ever going to get made (for any number of reasons). Before a writer learns the skills and develops their craft enough that their story telling ability gets them in that 5%, they will have learned the basic do’s and don’t’s of script submissions. Those are the things a reader will look for before they read a word of your work. Page count. Formatting. They’ll skim/scroll to see what the ratio of dialog:screen direction is. (the less black on the page the better). If it’s a hard copy they’ll notice how many brass fasteners are used - and what kind. If there’s a script cover (you don’t want one), and if there’s artwork (kiss of death).Anything that deviates from the professional norm is a warning flag to the reader and will likely get your script banished to the bottom of the “To Read” pile. The thinking is, “If the writer doesn’t know the proper rules of script submission, there’s no chance in hell they know how to write a script that’s halfway decent.” There are exceptions, but 99.9% of the time that’s the case.If your project is completed, start on a new screenplay. Most screenplays never get made. Odds are good yours won’t either. That’s just the reality of being a screen writer. Most of your work will not get made. But while you’re finding out if that’s the case with your project, there’s no reason you shouldn’t be working on something else. Most people stack projects… One that they are researching. One they are outlining. One that they are writing. This is just as much a numbers game as it is an art game.

What is a good song to go with the story "The Necklace?"?

So I'm making a short story trailer and need a song to go with it. I don't want to put it with the song "Ironic." A lot of the instances in that song aren't even ironic themselves. Anyway. I thought "Unwell" by Matchbox Twenty might be good, or maybe better yet, the chorus of "Breathe (2am)" might be good. I'd rather the song not be rock, or maybe just soft rock, because of the mood of the story.
So, any suggestions on songs?

Is the Hunger Games trailer a good representation of the books?

There's 2 trailers. One where Katniss is walking through a forest that was made in the very early stages of production and is not at all representative of the story. The new one (that has other people in it, and shows Katniss volunteering to be a tribute to take Prim's place) only touches on the first 75 pages or so of the book. Those pages were really not that exciting. It was the lead in to the Hunger Games Arena. The story is in the arena, in the battle, and is so much more interesting than those first 50-75 pages.

I have 11, 12, 16 and 21 year old daughters who felt the same way. Even after they started reading, they thought it was boring. I asked them to keep going until the tributes entered the arena. Once they reached that point, they were hooked.

The trailer, of course, doesn't look like what I imagined. The people don't look like the ones my mind created. But it looks like a fairly accurate representation. Most of the story takes place after that last moment in the trailer, after the countdown and the tributes make a mad dash for the cornucopia.

It's less than 400 pages. Try the first 100, you really have nothing to lose.

I'm excited for the movie, and my kids are all in full fanspasm. :)
