FAT? Why do they say this?

I'm too fat to do a sit-up or a push-up , what do i do?
If you are as you say, too fat, it is totally, utterly and completely pointless going sit-ups - all you will do will be to build the muscle under your stomach fat which'll push it out further. At present, push-ups will also be difficult as you probably don't have the strength in your arms to support your weight - again, any benefits from them would be hidden by fat. You need cardio - this will burn the layer of fat. Once you have reduced this then its time to do crunches, push-ups and weights as then you'll see the results. Depending on how much excess weight you are carrying depends on how much exercise you can do. If you are *seriously* overweight, please speak to your Doctor and they'll give you a proper exercise plan to follow - better do that than listen to someone on here telling you to go a 30 minute jog and you end up keeling over with chest pains and sore knees and you can't breathe!
Am i too fat to do gymnastics?
i am 16 years old and 5 ft 3, i weigh 104 and my dad (i live with him) tells me that i cant do gymnastics again because i am too fat.. i have a pic http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t33/anna101202/strong.jpg is there a certain weight requirement needed for gymnastics? should i go through with joining again even tho my dad doesnt want me to? i need opinions please
