How many words do you write in a day?

I write 200+ words per day, every day. I speak at about 3 words per second, so 200 words means recording a little more than 1 minute day, which is very easy.I rarely write directly. It's much easier for me to say with voice what I want, then to transcribe the audio file. Yes, it takes longer, but writer block can take WAY longer. Plus, I can record that minute when I'm rested, and transcribe it when I'm tired.200+ words per day means 73,000+ words per year. If you want to learn more about how I do it, please see this link:200+ words per day

How do you write 1500 in words?

That’s interesting, it works any way you say it, fifteen hundred, one thousand five hundred, or even one five zero zero are accurate descriptions of the word equivalent of the numeric value of 1500, in this instance with there being no comma, it’s not necessarily wrong to write out 1500 numerically without a comma, and for that I would write fifteen hundred. With a comma I would use one thousand five hundred simply because it creates a separation you can use the comma for.

How many words should I write in one hour?

That all depends on what you want to write and when your deadline is.If you have no deadline then having an hourly target of words is not a great idea. you will spend more time trying to reach the word count or comparing yourself to it than you will creating the piece that you have set out to write.Having said that daily targets are a good thing to have. Personally I average these out over a week as I have more time to write at the weekends and during the week I have days that I cannot write as I have other obligations. To work out how much to set you need to look at timing how fast you type. There are several ways to go about this. Try out something like this Typing Test English - 10FastFingers.com this will give you a rough idea. Generally the top speed at which the average person can type is around 50 words per minute. An average of about 40 wpm is quite normal and having taken tests like these a few times I come out at around 44. I can type faster and often do when I get into the flow of what I am writing but it does lose some accuracy at that point.I find that a happy medium is 25 wpm. It is a sustainable pace and gives time to reread bits and to spell check the odd word or correct the odd bit of grammar. That gives you 1500 words in an hour. The issue here is that you are not a machine so will only be able to keep that up for so long. What I generally do is give myself a target of 1000 words a day as a minimum. I then try to reach that goal and in doing so end up writing a lot more depending on the topic. So to directly answer the question. There is no set amount you should type per hour. finding out your fastest speed will give you a hard maximum and halving that will give you a comfortable amount. Some days you will not be able to achieve that though. On a good day I can write around 9000 words. That is when I am focused and with breaks that is around 8 hours work ish. Most days I just hit my 1000 if I do write some I don’t even hit that.
