Does trazalone help with chronic pain and help with insomnia?

Trazadone is commonly used in patients with chronic pain syndromes, especially conditions such as fibromyalgia, and myofascial pain syndrome to control sleep. Additionally, chronic pain patients, due to the inability to maintain adequate sleep patterns do not adequately renew their neurotransmitters, and have increased problems with neurogenic pains, and depression. Trazadone can be beneficial in managing some of the facets of these conditions when combined with other therapies.

Why won't my Doctor prescribe Ambien for my insomnia ?

I would question that too. I have been taking Ambien for over 10 years. I also take 1 Lorazepam (generic Ativan) in the middle of the night. My doc wouldn't prescribe Xanax (too addictive).

My insomnia story is at

A list of things I've tried for sleep since 1982 is at

A list of things I use now is at

If Ambien works for you, I don't know why your doc won't prescribe it. Just my opinion. I'm not a doc, just someone who's had a sleep disorder since age 16. (I'm now 56.)

Can Pseudoephedrine sulfate 240 mg cause insomnia?

Could absolutely be the pseudo in your Claritin. That is a mega dose of pseudoephedrine. Normal doseage is 30mg. Try the plain Claritin and get a box of phenylephrine instead. It will not keep you awake. Take them both every day for my allergies, does make me drowsy, does not keep me awake.

How do I cure my insomnia even after going to the gym and playing squash?

You are doing both these activities in the same day?Well my question is, What's keeping you awake?Physical exertion is not a cure to insomnia.Insomnia can be cured by achieving peace of mind. You need sleep to rejuvenate. You need sleep for your muscles to regrow after workouts. You need sleep to be in a proper state of mind.Although if you are able to function properly without sleeping much then that must be because of the endurance you have developed by continuously playing games and going to the gym.I will suggest you to read a few motivational books, although you may be doing it already.I will also suggest you to look at what keeps you awake. If it's negative in nature get rid of it as soon as possible. If it's a goal that's keeping you awake, plan your day around it so that you feel satisfied enough to sleep.I had insomnia a few years back. I was worried about alot of things. But now I sleep peacefully. Because I have understood that we have one life and it's better to be fearless and move ahead of whatever worries us.I hope it helps.P.S.: Reading a boring book also helps in curing insomnia…lol :)

My friend has Fatal Familial Insomnia?

One of my dear friends has a rare genetic disorder called fatal familial insomnia. He's told me that it is caused by a genetic defect called a prion, and that it can eventually make a person spiral into complete sleep deprivation and eventually death.
But he also says that he doesn't show signs of having the prion, so he doesn't think he'll die because of it, he'll just be an insomniac for the rest of his life.
Please explain this to me; I need to know about him. He is a great friend and I would hate to lose him at such a young age (I'm 13, he's 14).
We play World of Warcraft, and he had to get off just now because of his arm was being pained by muscle spasms. Could this be because of the FFI?

Does Ayahuasca cure anxiety?

The way you ask a question says a lot about you.I think the question is too general. I can give a general (shitty) answer: yes.At another level, ask yourself: are all anxieties the same?About ayahuasca now. I’ve done about 15 ceremonies in 5 countries. 1 was inefficient. 14 were and still are out of this world amazingly astonishing! And it was different every time and different for each participant. Good or bad for some, strong or light for some, dark or light for some, funny or sad, etc. I always got clarity and healing. If you are afraid, don’t do it. It may increase you anxiety. If you are curious and open minded and a mind explorer, research a little bit and go to an old shaman in Peru and you will see paradise with your mind! Terrence McKenna is my favorite psychedelic guide.I guess there are no guarantees. Maybe one. EVERYONE AGREES IT’S THE RIDE OF THEIR LIFE!PURA VIDA!

Can Biotin help to cure male pattern baldness?

Male Pattern Baldness or Androgenic Alopecia IS NOT CURABLE, is only treatable. And very successfully if you do it on time.Biotin is essential in a hair loss treatment, but alone is by far useless to stop it.Biotin is only a very tiny part of a comprehensive hair loss treatment.Would I cure my diabetes if a replace sugar for Stevia? No.Vitamin H, more commonly known as biotin, is part of the B complex group of vitamins. B complex vitamins are needed for healthy skin, hair, eyes and liver. They also help the nervous system function properly. Biotin is often recommended for strengthening hair and nails, and it's found in many cosmetic products for hair and skin. Like all B vitamins, it is water soluble, meaning the body does not store it. However, bacteria in the intestine can make biotin. It is also available in small amounts in a number of foods.it’s very rare to be deficient in biotin. Symptoms include hair loss, dry scaly skin, cracking in the corners of the mouth (called cheilitis), swollen and painful tongue that is magenta in color (glossitis), dry eyes, loss of appetite, fatigue, insomnia and depression. People who have been on parenteral nutrition -- nutrition given intravenously -- for a long period of time, those taking antiseizure medication or antibiotics long-term, and people with conditions like Crohn’s disease that make it hard to absorb nutrients, are more likely to be deficient in biotin. There are not many good quality studies evaluating biotin. Many of its proposed uses are based on weak evidence or case reports:Very weak evidence suggests that biotin supplements may improve thin, splitting, or brittle toe and fingernails, as well as hair. Biotin, combined with zinc and topical clobetasol propionate, has also been used to combat alopecia areata in both children and adults.
